We are Audrey and John Dutton. Our tiny houses are on land that has been in the family for over 100 years. The big yellow house is called the Heidy House because it was homesteaded by my husbands great great grandparents Eli Lincoln Heidy. Our passion is to heal the land and people. Bringing the two back to restoration through our Creator.

Delightful place and lovely seting!

Food for Rest Tiny House was a warm and welcoming place to rest after a long drive on a cold day. I was delighted when I arrived and saw how comfortable and sweet the place was. My dog and I enjoyed walking on the little trails. It is a beautiful location! I loved the tub and had a cozy night's sleep. It is clear that a lot of love goes into this place.

Super friendly and accommodating hosts. Really cozy spot. Easy access to walking paths. Clean composting bathroom and hot outdoor shower really topped it off! Loved it. Would definitely come back.

Cute tiny home with everything you

Cute tiny house in rural Nebraska. Booked site to be close to the Loess Hills. Had all the amenities needed kitchen, firepit, and cute bathroom with huge tub. Enjoyed a relaxing night.

Total Relaxation

We loved staying in this tiny cabin. It was so peaceful and relaxing. The giant bathtub was so nice for soaking. We enjoyed all the sounds of nature and the stunning sunrises/sunsets. Audrey had everything we needed. We will definitely be back.

I loved the tiny house and the design of it. A 5 star experience. Audrey was very responsive to the messages I sent to her during my stay there. Overall, I do recommend checking out her tiny house village she has.

Peaceful

LOVELY land! Check in was easy and the tiny cabin had everything you’d need. Loved the daily lights both inside and on the porch. Also appreciated that the lofted beds had little trap doors so you felt more secure (no accidentally stepping down a hole at night!)

We brought the whole family!

My family (doggy included) and I loved Audrey’s tiny house. There was way more room then I expected, and everything you can think of needing while glamping with kiddos. The board games came in handy when we had enough of the outdoors! We plan to come back again for our next visit to Ponca State Park.

We had a lovely time camping here on our way back home from our road trip! Audrey was so gracious and helped us get settled. Our boys also ended up connecting with their kids, and enjoyed their company, but they were very gracious and respected our space as well. The compost port a potty was pleasant, believe it or not! And the view was excellent, especially for the sunset. I'm having difficulty adding pictures, so maybe I can add them later if it lets me.

Countryside beauty

I love coming to Audrey’s. The inside is so homey and beautiful and I love being in the natural setting. Audrey and her family are so kind and loving. I feel so at home there.

This tiny house was a perfect respite on our travels across country. Loved the sustainability of the farm and the artistic details of the home. So many quiet, peaceful places to wander from the walk in the woods to a rest in a hammock nestled in the fruit trees. Audrey, John, and their family (and friends) were lovely hosts. We will definitely stop again when our travels bring us this way.

Nice, woodsy camp area

I basically came in, set up my tent, and took shelter from the rain, but I had a very nice stay. I had everything I needed and enjoyed the view.

Blessed Experiences

Audrey and John made this experience unforgettable. I feel truly blessed to have gotten to stay with them and experience their space. I highly recommend travelers to add the permaculture extra. I learned so much. Thank you both for everything! This hipcamp is a must see destination.

Refreshing and restful

What a lovely little, cozy house in the middle of beautiful views. The house is quite roomy for sleeping with two lofts. The kitchen served us well and we cooked our meals in a cast iron skillet. We drank our pressed coffee on the porch while enjoying the sound of the trees and birds. The bathroom is nice and clean and we honestly didn't mind the compost toilet. Audrey was available whenever needed (she even brought her telescope so we could view the stars) and the farm-fresh eggs were an authentic addition to our "food for rest" stay. A favorite part of the stay was taking walks on the prayer trail and seeing the sunset while walking on the nearby road. We also drove the short distance to the Ponca State Park where we viewed the Missouri River. A wonderful and peaceful stay!

This was such a peaceful spot! It’s tucked away off of some gravel roads. I’m so happy that this was how we experienced Nebraska! The hosts went above and beyond to offer us anything we needed. We are quite self sufficient in a 19 foot trailer and a Dodge Ram 2500 mega cab. There was plenty of room for our family of 4. We would stay again in a heartbeat beat if we pass through.
