Welcome to the Hattie shack! My husband Wayne built it when our young daughter wanted to have sleepovers. It’s now a peaceful and idyllic slice of heaven for your personal retreat. Writers, artists, musicians, sojourners, outdoor lovers welcome to a creative and colorful glamping experience. Our elevated shack is perfect for a one-person get away. Views of fields, woods, and gardens! A short walk from a personal parking spot. Mowed paths and trails in the woods. Year-round access - there's AC for the warm months and heat for the cold months. We have an outhouse, BBQ grill with charcoal, table, and a fire pit with firewood provided. Hammock and outdoor gear available if desired. Our friendly dogs, Wally and Sunny, will greet you. They roam free, but we ask that if you bring a pet, it is leashed because we have chickens. We are a short drive from Class 1 trout streams - the Kinnickinnic and Rush River. If you want to stay put on the farm, the shack is complete with a writing desk and an outdoor porch table for creative inspiration to strike at any moment. There is no WiFi, but there is an ATT tower nearby for data connection. Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint users may have a hard time getting cell service. Small fridge, French press, hot plate, fresh water, and some utensils provided. We move the bed position in the shack based on the season! Peony Power Farm is my new business. I am in the process of planting and cultivating peonies for the cut flower market. The plants take 3-4 years to develop for cutting, but when all is in bloom, the Hattie shack will have a perfect view of the peony fields!A one person elevated glamping retreat.
