It was a fantastic place! WOW! So much to do, beautiful spaces, ponds, and a great hiking trail that my pups loved! Very well kept and the bathroom/shower was much appreciated! Only spent one night, but would be great for multiple days.

Very clean campground with a lot of amenities. It felt like a KOA. Friendly staff. They had a cancellation so I was able to upgrade. Would stay again if in the area.

Campground was super nice and well maintained. Staff were excellent and very helpful. No shade at site 239 so it got a little hot in July. Had some pretty noisy neighbors behind us for two nights and some loud ones next to us in the morning but didn’t ruin the trip! Would definitely recommend this campground! (also loved the kitties running around :)

Such a lovely family- and dog-friendly campground! Camp sites were lovely and nicely spaced. The bathhouse and toilets were clean and well kept. Fun activities for kids and families and just a 5 minute drive from Devil’s Lake State Park hiking and boating. Would definitely book again!!

Beautiful campground. I’m sure the tent sites are quite secluded once bushes and trees have leaves. Upper campsites were quite muddy from the rain as there is no grass up there. Campsites near the creek have grass. Shower house is very clean. There are a lot of RVs with barking dogs. A bit pricey in my opinion.

The campgrounds were great! Very kid and animal friendly. Camping spots are pretty close together with few trees and shrubbery in between. Great experience!

SKILLET CREEK CAMPGROUND
My boyfriend and I loved our stay at Skillet Creek campground. We were assigned a site but the staff was flexible and able to change it according to a site we preferred. The staff was kind and approachable. The site was clean and there was a variety to choose from. There was lots to do on the campground itself and the location was perfect as it was so close to devils lake. I would highly recommend this campground!

When I first got there I was a little bit apprehensive because it's a place I've never been. To say I was pleasantly surprised wasn't understatement! The tent sites are very large, and extremely well groomed. The bathrooms are very clean, the showers large and everything is clean there too. It's actually a very welcoming place. I have a goose and a special needs duck, and they were both allowed and very welcomed. They also both give it two wings up! They both enjoyed the tent site. One weekend is not nearly long enough! I think I found my new campground of choice!

The tent camping was great! Our spot had a lot of tree and shade coverage. Bathrooms were very clean, campground was well kept and very family friendly. They had a good variety of camping spots. Devils lake was super close- fun weekend camping with my dogs!

2nd time staying at Skillet Creek and couldn’t be happier. The sites are all very nice and well kept and since I was there a little off season and during the week, it was incredibly quiet and peaceful at night. The family the runs the grounds are all very nice and friendly. Nice to stay outside of the state park and away from “party” campers. They are also pet friendly. Extended my trip another day because of how much I was enjoying it. Plan to stay here every time I’m in Baraboo.

They were very accommodating. It was 100* outside and our site had little shade. They let us switch no problem. They have a nice little store for necessities. Like when your lighter gives out and your fire starter isn’t working either.

The campground was nice w/ clean bathrooms/showers. Alot of stuff to do for the price. The only things that weren't that great was on the 1st night when I was trying to sleep some of the younger ppl where being a little loud later at night, one of the washers didn't work so well, &, well, this could be specific to my situation there wasn't a great spot to charge my eBike tho I could use a outlet in the gameroom to charge.

It is such a cute campground with all the amenities! The primitive sites are in a nice, wooded area. We forgot our grill and they were kind enough to loan us one. It’s super close to Devil’s Lake. I only wish we could have stayed a bit longer.

Great location and impressive campsites for tent camping. Very similar to a great state park vibe. Better sites than devils lake proper. Will definitely stay again on my next climbing excursions.

This is the perfect place to camp if you want something close to Devil's Lake without the busy noise of staying at a state park ground. We went during the week and there was no around us so it felt very private and secluded. The creek and pond are both pretty. Convenient and Leaann was very nice.

Pleasent check in, and camp store! Lots to do even though we were only there for less than 24 hours… the sites are each pretty unique and integrated into the woods—not a big field with plots. It’s great especially for the location and price. Clean bathrooms. Definitely recommend it is precious here.

My friends and I loved the campsite. We had a nice, large area to set up two tents and a considerable fire area. The showers were conveniently located and even if you run out of fire wood, there’s a drop box at the store so you can pick up more wood after hours. Will definitely come back!

The campground is very nice and well maintained. Our campsite has lush green grass that was well trimmed. The shower and bathrooms were clean.

This was my first time camping here with my dogs. We had a great site that was spacious and private. The other campers were very friendly.
The shower room was really clean and pleasant.
Great location near Devil’s lake and Pewits Nest. The owners were helpful and responsive hosts!
