It was secluded but yet still very near. It’s very nice little get away. The views and your surroundings make you forget there is a subdivision around the corner. Great find!

We had a great time camping on Ron's land. Lots of great places for kiddos to walk around and explore, plus they had fun visiting the chickens and goats. Would love to come back!

Some of the most beautiful sky’s at night. I am from the west burbs of Chicago. There is very little light pollution. Pictures do not do it justice. Fall camping with cool nights by a fire is great fun my family. Ron was very polite, friendly and helpful. This is a great place to get away.

First impression I thought I was lost, that’s the point right? Very responsive to communication and flexible. Escorted by farm tractor to location, let me see different sights to pick from. I picked tucked in the woods for some seclusion. Brought my two dogs and they loved running in the 3 different fields close by, we even visited the goats multiple times to give them some weeds. 2 other sites were being used but you would never know it. Would visit again for a quick getaway.

Had a great time staying at Ron’s farm. The goats and chickens were adorable and the fresh eggs were delicious. Fire pit was awesome and the area was really spacious. Ron was a very nice guy, super helpful if you need anything. Highly recommend!

Beautiful property and great host. I camped there in September. It was great! Cool evening breezes and warm days. Perfect camping weather. Wood area or open areas to camp. You can hear or see deer, rabbits, birds, hawks, bats, black squirrels, chickens, deer, chipmunks. Fall camping at this hip camp is highly recommended!

We had an outstanding last minute holiday weekend at Ron’s land. Ron was very hospitable and his land is gorgeous. Very nicely groomed walking paths and we met some of the friendliest goats ever on his farm. We can’t wait to return again in the future.

I wish we could’ve stayed longer. We were just starting to get to know our neighbors- the goats and chickens, Bard owls, coyotes, and the usual suspects - Jays, cardinals, chickadees, and the eastern peewee. The property is beautiful. You can choose sites that are more remote or in fields with mature pines and open skies for star gazing. The place is located between Racine and Kenosha - an abundance of good restaurants, taverns and resale shops. Also good to note that the “big” lake is a 5 minute drive. Beaches and parks nearby, if you choose to picnic or go for a swim.
All in all, a beautiful visit. Enough to decompress before we head back to the busyness of life.

Ron's place was perfect. Felt like I was back home in Ohio camping with my buddies. The different camp sites are nice and secluded, but it's also nice knowing you're on Ron's land — you got a little community there. And the goats! Superb goats. 10/10 would go again.

We had a wonderful time at Auch Farm! The campsites are beautifully spread out across a scenic mix of grassy lawns, wooded groves, and a flower-filled marsh. The owners were warm and welcoming, even giving us a personal tour. We loved exploring the property’s trails, visiting the animals, and enjoyed fresh farm eggs during our stay. Evenings were magical with fireflies and starry skies. A truly peaceful retreat—we’d gladly come back!

Great time. But more importantly while staying there I was able to answer one of life’s longest known questions. When entering Ron’s property you are greeted by chickens. If you are wise enough you pre ordered some eggs to cook for breakfast.
So chicken did come before the egg!

Ron was very friendly. He responded and communicated well with his expectations and my expectations. It was great camping there! There are some very friendly goats and some free range chickens walking around. The land is well maintained and diverse. There is a giant area that is mowed. There is a huge wet land area to the south. A wooded area that I camped out in. My family enjoyed it. Ron was very hospitable and I will be returning to camp there.

We had a great stay. We were trying out a new tent and dog and this was perfect place. Ron met us and took us to the site. Very friendly. Surrounded by 8 acres on the west(?) and 10 acres to the south east of woods and prairie.
Lots of wildlife! We heard deer, coyotes, and owls! (See pic of great horned owl we say at sunset! 🤯) We would recommend a stay here, and we would love to come back some day.
Ron gave us some amazing eggs. Made bacon in the morning with scrambled eggs, this was probably the best breakfast we had. I’ve never had fresh eggs like this before.
Had fun visiting the goats too!

Auch Farm provided us with a beautiful wooded campsite adjacent to a prairie wetland where we set up a 1930s era deer camp. Although on the edge of town we felt like we were hundreds of miles away up north! The camp site is approached on a pretty tree lined lane that winds through the woods and is far enough back that we could not see any farm buildings or equipment, only the woods to our front and the open prairie at our backs. The host graciously provided firewood at no charge, and we enjoyed sitting by the fire until well after dark. Many thanks, Ron, for a wonderful time.
