Brand new custom high end "glamping" cabin nestled along the Cacapon River. Cacapon River is one of the cleanest rivers in West Virginia. The name Cacapon was given by the native americans for the healing aspects of the water. The cabin is located on the famous Riverdale Farm property that was home of Captain David Pugh. Captain Pugh was the last person to sign succession papers to make West Virginia a state. As we say, " West Virginia started here". The property was home of one of the first schools in West Virginia, the local post office and the Hook's Mill. People have traveled to this farm to enjoy camping and outdoor leisure since the 1830s. Come continue the tradition here.

Kale’s Cottage

We had an incredible stay during our family trip. We originally booked for two nights but ended up extending another day because we didn’t want to leave. We came as a family of four with two little kids, and this place exceeded all our expectations. The property is beautiful with incredible views and great amenities, you really don’t need to leave. Our kids especially loved the arcade, the pumpkin carving, and the zip line. The tiny home was spotless, well kept, and the welcome basket with snacks, wine, and s’mores kit was such a nice touch. We had the pleasure of the owners who were warm and hospitable. Their recommendation to visit the Farmers Daughter shop was spot-on, the burgers, sausages, and steak were fantastic. Quiet, relaxing, and perfect for families or couples. We’re already planning our next trip. Highly recommend, 5 stars!

Kale’s Cottage

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Kale’s Cottage. We found it clean, comfortable and well-appointed. The kitchen has all the basics which allowed us to eat all of our meals in the tiny house. We made a fire one evening and enjoyed s’mores. The host is delightful, attentive, responsive and kind. We have already booked another visit.

The perfect spot for a getaway! The hosts have thought of everything to make this spot comfortable and easy to be in. I felt relaxed right away. I especially loved having morning coffee on the deck listening to the birds and squirrels and other critters start their days. Thank you for sharing this lovely space!

Hook’s Hide-A-Way

Hook's Hideaway is still our favorite weekend getaway. Waking up and drinking coffee with a river front view is amazing whether you're on the covered balcony or inside with the floor to ceiling windows in the living room. Just enough creature comforts inside for her and rustic enough outside around the fire pit for me. Richie and Rae are both great, responsive hosts that always make sure our stay is memorable. Love this place!

Hook’s Hide-A-Way

This place gets all the stars and all the rating points. The place itself is cute and cozy and also very comfortable. The host has thought of so many things to make it wonderful between the two different fire pit options, the hot tub, a telescope for star gazing, and snacks/treats for us to enjoy. It's so calm and peaceful out here. You're surrounded by trees that a trip at any time of year is awesome.

I must say this place exceeded my expectations! The property is beautiful, comfortable, and serene. The cabin (we stayed at hooks hideaway) is perfectly placed and the views never get old! Just beautiful! The hosts are very accommodating and easy to communicate with. You can tell there was a lot of thought and pride that went into the camp being a place guests can unwind and relax from life’s chaos. Between the beautiful cabin, the hot tub, the river, the small touches, and the views, this place can’t be beat! We will definitely be return guests!

A great place to fish relax and unwind. We had a great time caught a fish and we had fun kayaking. The place is very well equipped and it was July 4th so it was hot but the ac did an excellent job.

Very nice A-frame cabin. The space looked well maintained and was clean/ready when we arrived. Internet was a bit slow, but not a huge deal since the main point of visiting is to unplug from all that. Also we appreciated the snacks and plenty of ready firewood onsite. Would recommend!

We loved staying at Hook’s Hide A Way! Rae has great taste in furniture, snacks, toiletries, everything! There was plenty of firewood to use for the firepit. She was great at communicating and even offered recommendations for local events the weekend we stayed. Would definitely consider returning!

Rae went above and beyond with our stay! The house is beautiful, with the big windows and sitting on the river. Rae thought of every detail with making us feel welcomed. Everything was great. It was quiet, comfortable, just big enough for a weekend away. Lots to do on the property, the river has a little access path. The porch was always shady, and the hot tub was a huge bonus. Love it. Will definitely do it again.

Amazing spot on the river

This place was amazing and the hosts were incredible. The tiny house was spotless and very well taken care of. This might very well be the nicest part of the river, too. The hosts were super friendly and made us feel very welcome. The sky is the limit for their property and their plans for it. Can’t wait to come back!

If you want to get away, but also love creature comforts, Hook's Hideaway is for you. This tiny home has just about everything you'll need for a weekend getaway. It's clean, cozy, and modern and the view of the river is amazing. You can tell Rae and Richie take pride in hosting. They've thought about every little detail and were super responsive from booking throughout our stay. We'll definitely be coming back.
