Overall Campsite #1 is easy to find, ideal if you have dogs who enjoy a big field to play in and if you have a larger family or group it works great. The four campsites are near each other and on our night site 2 and 3 were a group that all combined onto site 2. Site 4 had just one camper. We moved away from our fire pit and that gave us more space from the group. We just didn’t have a fire to enjoy but we did have more space. If you’re looking for privacy there really isn’t much but if you’re looking to escape town this works. The river is close and the moon rise was stunning! Depending when you visit the river will be varying in level and typically will not be one you go swimming in. There were a fewer areas of slower water which we did let the dogs splash around in. It is nice just to sit by and enjoy the sound. The fall colors are beautiful.

Heather is a star host. Very responsive. Nice & quiet property. Only 4 sites that are spread out. Easy access to the river down a staircase.
Zender Camp was an incredible stay! Each site has a generous space that can accommodate small or large numbers. The views and sounds of the river, the beautiful treeline and being surrounded by mountains was so peaceful. The port-a-potty was very clean! Communication from Zender was very good. Highly recommend!

Great spot! We stayed at Campsite 1, all four spots were occupied but there is plenty of space between them. The river access was a nice feature, likely varies by season (we went in early Sept.). Big open field on one side of the campground would be great for frisbee, fetch, yard games, etc. Nice to have a treeline separating the tent area from the river as a noise barrier too.
Another amazing visit to Zendercamp. Heather is amazing, the property is very well maintained, you can’t go wrong with any of the sites

We had a really great stay! The location was convenient to go to artist point and explore Mount Baker. The Porta potty was clean and well taken care of.
Being able to let the dogs run around off leash was super cool, but we also got lucky with no one else at the campsite. The sounds of the river rushing by are beautiful and just everything in general was amazing. Highly recommend.
BEAUTIFUL, peaceful, clean, quiet campsite. Kind, communicative, and generous host. Mountain views all around, and the river was pristine for hot August afternoons. Our 3 kids were in free range heaven, making mud pies by the river, building forts in the trees, carving and creating story sticks about our adventures, etc. At night, we were blessed with a nearly full moon and views of the Milky Way, thousands of stars, and several shooting stars. Pure magic. We will definitely be back. Thank you for sharing your beautiful land with us!

Great space right on the river, clean bathrooms, easy water access, and friendly hosts. Plus, it’s only a two minute drive from the North Fork Brewery.
I love camping at the spot me and my family have enjoyed it a few times now. It's very peaceful with a beautiful view of the river

This is our third time staying at Zender Camp. We love it here and the large sites are a bonus. Heather is a gracious host and communicates in a timely manner. Will be staying again!

We LOVED camping here! It was our first time and we can’t wait to go back. Such a serene setting, with the gorgeous mountains, trees, open grassy field, and the river. Our dogs enjoyed being down on the water, playing amongst the trees on the bank, and running after frisbees and chuckit balls in the field. The outhouse was super clean too! There was a burn ban but we brought a propane fire pit and still kept cozy at night. Our camp neighbor was super cool too and if he wasn’t, the sites were so spaced out it would have been okay lol. Shout out to Seth and his dog Hank! Thanks for having us on your property Heather. If you’ll welcome us back, you’ll be seeing us again!

Heather’s camp ground was AMAZING! She was so responsive to questions I had before and during our trip, and the grounds were gorgeous. The river was easily accessible thanks to low levels and the stairs she has. Our group had a memorable time and we can’t wait to come back

Thank you for sharing your beautiful property. We stayed in site 1 which was enormous by camping standards. Our dogs probably had the best time with the giant field for running and the river for swimming. Highly recommend for all but especially those we dogs. We will return!

Very spacious campground, friendly host, and clean facilities! About 45 mins to Artist Point / Mt. Baker. Great place to stay with a group
This is one of our favorite Hipcamps despite the marijuana farm next door. The host is awesome, the sites are spread out, the port-a-potty is clean and smelled like a coconut, on the river, and close to Mount Baker / Silver Lake adventures!

This was my second time here and I’ll come again! Nice open spots (especially for sites 1 & 4), perfect trees to hand you hammocks, awesome river access, water and firewood. This place is very special!

Zender camp is a huge lawn with 4 camp sites. Each has a fire pit and a picnic table and there are two porta potties. The views of the surrounding mountains are beautiful and my kids loved playing soccer on the lawn. A water hose is available at the entrance to the campsite off of the road. Unfortunately there was no river access directly from the camp.

This was our first Hipcamp experience. Zender Camp was lovely! So well done, clean, quiet, very pretty views, wonderful to fall asleep to the sound of the river.

I am so in love with Heather's private quiet meadow nook. It is exactly what I have been searching for for a local place to nestle and enjoy the river. I can't recommend it enough! The firewood stand is so thoughtful and the porta potty is was actually dare I say, delightful!? Because it was! I will be back! I pulled a 16ft travel trailer and it was so easy to swing wide and find the perfect little landing spot that was flat!
WOW! What an incredible getaway spot just a quick drive from Bellingham! The sites were large and open and the river access was wonderful! I was able to maneuver my 21ft 1993 Winnebago easy easy in the spots!
The port a potties were SO CLEAN and smelled SO good! I can tell the hosts really care for this property well! I also loved that we had service so I could imagine a little "work by the river" getaway in my near future! WILL BE BACK!
