Aliya Preserve—WA Coast Eco-Retreat

Wow. Just wow. Beautiful, well maintained camp site (we stayed in #2) with views for days. Morning coffee with a side of whale watching? Yep. Count yourself in. On the whole, the property was rad and so well thought out. The beach area is so cool to explore, the hot showers by moonlight were an absolute pleasure, and hot water sinks to wash dishes make camp cookouts a breeze. I loved this place and I absolutely intend to come back. A++

Truly beautiful autiful and quiet space. We loved the meditation circle and hammock areas, as well. Relatively clean loo. Really appreciated having the sink to rinse dishes (though hot water was iffy). The walk from site 1 to the beach is about 10 minutes with a nice long hill. This site felt the most private. Could barely hear site #2 chatter (during daylight hours). Sites are all well labeled and campers on the property were all kind and respectful during our stay. Highly recommend.

Aliya is a beautiful place to camp. Beautiful views of the ocean, lovely walks to the beach & back, great spaces with picnic table & fire pit. The outhouses are spacious & clean, the outdoor shower with hot water is awesome & a big sink to wash dishes. It feels safe & quiet & a serene getaway. We loved our stay and will be back!

Campsites at Aliya Preserve are 100% worth the splurge. For how large the area is, there are relatively few campsites, pods, and cabins in total, making a fully occupied area still feel secluded. Site 4 where we stayed has a particularly good view of the ocean. Despite being just off the highway, the sound of the ocean drowned out most of those distractions. (Some road noise still, but not bad at all.) The outdoor shower overlooking the cliffside is super relaxing. The lowlands where the forest meets the beach is a truly fascinating habitat. We were there in the late summer when flowers were still in bloom and berries were in abundance. Lots of little forest birds and plenty of shorebird activity, as well. Be sure to say hi to the resident bunnies! Aliya is a hidden national treasure! I look forward to returning someday to explore the forest and beach again. Also, the firewood smells amazing!

We loved this campground preserve! The site (5) was spacious and had two separate fire pits with benches and a picnic table, and ample tent pad space. The entire property is beautifully maintained with tons of thoughtfulness and care. Views from everywhere you look. Will return!!

Very quiet, private location that is well taken care of. The walk down to the beach is beautiful and the location is so private. We spent 5 hours one afternoon reading at the beach and only saw 4 people that whole time. During that time we watched whales, porpoise and seals and enjoyed the beauty of the area . The walk to the south took us to the river entrance, with an amazing estuary. Just wish we had more time, but we will definitely be back.

Another Great Stay

This is my third stay here and will not be the last. The facility itself is amazing. Hot showers, dish washing stations, clean functional outhouses, firewood and even some hammocks mean you’ll have everything needed. What really sets this place apart is the location. It’s just minuets to Kalaloch, Lake Quinalt, Ruby Beach and some of the best parts of Olympic National Park. But for me the biggest attraction is the beach at the property. It’s just spectacular, don’t skip it!

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at Aliya Preserve. The campsite was beautiful, with excellent privacy, a great view of the Pacific Ocean, and clean bathhouse facilities with hot showers. Unfortunately, our arrival was more stressful than it should have been. When we arrived, we discovered our campsite had been double booked, and the host was unavailable, leaving us to resolve the situation with the other guests ourselves. What made this especially frustrating was that the host had messaged before our stay acknowledging a scheduling issue and asking if we could adjust our dates. We let them know we couldn’t, and they acknowledged our response, so we assumed the issue had been resolved. Instead, we arrived to find it had not. Regardless of what caused the mix-up, we expected better reservation management for a premium-priced campsite. Thankfully, the other guests were incredibly accommodating. They had reserved the neighboring site for friends who weren’t able to arrive on the first night, so they generously let us use that campsite instead. The host eventually arrived and offered us another site, but by then we were already settled. The property itself was excellent, and we had a great stay. However, the scheduling mishap and lack of host availability at check-in created unnecessary stress that fell short of the premium experience we expected.

Peaceful off-grid getaway, perfect

We stayed here as a family of five (three kids) plus our dog, and it was exactly the off-grid reset we were looking for. The view was stunning, and the sound of the lapping waves added so much to the sense of calm. What stood out most was the serenity: even with three kids running around, the site stayed quiet and peaceful. The property was clearly well cared for. Trails, facilities, and grounds were all in great shape, which you notice right away and appreciate even more by day three. It's a wonderful spot to actually unplug and get away from it all without sacrificing comfort. We'd happily come back and would recommend it to any family looking for a quiet, well-maintained escape with a view worth waking up to.

Excellent campground, we stayed on site 3 and it felt very private but was also very convenient to the sink for dishes and the bathroom (which was very helpful camping with a little one). Views were wonderful, grounds well tended. Would totally recommend and come back ourselves.

This spot was incredible. Absolutely a once in a lifetime experience! So serene and private; I can’t even explain how magical the preserve is. We feel so lucky to have gotten to stay here for a couple days! Amenities are very nice for camping too. Having a sink for dishes and a shower with hot water was so great. Would 100% recommend this to anyone!

This part of Washington has incredibly beautiful beaches and this property is no exception! Campground is very well kept and I had a lovely stay. I will say, I thought the walk in site would mean more privacy, but it’s actually the opposite, as it is accessed by the path to the beach and is wide open to the pathway. A couple of time others thought the campsite was the path and cut through. I would still stay again in a heartbeat and absolutely recommend the property.

Beautiful property, simple well cared for amenities for the drive in campers. Toilets, outdoor showers, sinks. Sites 1-4 are long gravel driveways with pic nic table, fire ring, chairs at the end on a bluff that overlooks the ocean. Sunset galore! Lots of trees and growth between sites, private. Short stroll down to the rocky tree drift beach, very sacred and moody beauty. Short drive to Kalaloch and national ranger station. I wished we could have stayed longer.

Amazing campground and campsite! Site 5 was tucked away to the side of the common beach path so you might see some other campers pass by. In my three nights there, not many people stayed on the beach until sunset or past dark so it felt like my site had private access to the lowlands and beaches at some point. I’d highly recommend setting up a lounge chair and bring some jackets, blankets, and sunglasses to watch the sunset right on the beach with the water right at your feet.

A Peaceful Hidden Gem.

We had an amazing experience camping at Aliya Preserve, and this is by far one of the best campsites we’ve visited. The campsites feel much more private than many other campgrounds, which made our stay peaceful and relaxing. The natural surroundings are beautiful, and the beach view is absolutely breathtaking. Falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the waves was incredibly calming, and it made the entire experience unforgettable. The only area that could use some improvement is the shower and restroom facilities. A little more attention to floor cleaning would make them even more enjoyable to use. We also noticed that the water had a slightly unusual smell, and we’re not sure what caused it, but it might be worth looking into. Overall, these were only minor issues compared to what the preserve has to offer. The scenery, privacy, and peaceful atmosphere more than made up for them. We truly enjoyed our stay and are already looking forward to coming back. Thank you for providing such a wonderful place to camp, we’ll definitely be visiting again!
