If you are looking for a quiet camp spot away from noise do not camp here on the weekends during wedding season. I enjoyed our spot and there were maybe a couple more spots that are quieter during an event. I liked everything by else about the campgrounds!

The campsite is directly off 410 and next to the whistling jack main cabin, which is not the worst thing (there are many campsites just off 410). The bad part was a gigantic orange "76" signs that lights up the whole campsite all night. It was so hard to sleep with that huge light illuminating the whole tent at night. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. I did check in late and they helped me get set up and checked in even after hours. The store had a great selection of items in case you forgot anything. It was also just unfortunate timing that they were having some trees cut down outside the station, which just so happened to be right next to us so we were woken up by loud machinery at 7 am :).

The road noise is very loud at times and the sites are not really private. The host is not very responsive in the app. The staff at the lodge didn’t even know where the tent camping was to direct us and also didn’t know what Hipcamp was, but we’re very nice and as helpful as they could be. The river and the bird watching are wonderful though and it provided a nice base camp for the hikes in the area.
