Awesome experience! The tent setup was really cozy, especially with the space heater and heated bed. The host was very accommodating, and the hairy piggies were a nice addition!

Wow! This place is absolutely breathtaking, even better than the pictures! The cots were pushed together to make the equivalent of two twins pushed together. The owners were so so kind and very quick to respond and even came out in the dark to bring us a pot to boil water in. So as a note the cook shelter only has a kettle. No cooking utensils, plates, pans, pots etc. We asked to pet the pigs/goats and the owners said they are the most gentle souls, and boy were they right! No touching the pigs faces or the goats horns but they really love back pets and scratches. The pigs are hilarious and I could have stood by their pen all day. Extremely close to Lake Crescent and worth the 15min drive to a beautiful crystal clear lake. During the beginning of spring you can catch the mountains split in half with snow covered tops and spring everywhere bellow. 10/10 would recommend for other LGBTQ folk. Super swell hosts and we will be back!

This is a quiet and peaceful place with animals! It is conveniently just off of the highway but without any of the noise from it. The tents are comfortable and surprisingly roomy, but open directly to perfect PNW woodland.

Beautiful spot & friendly host!

Tu was incredible. Extremely accommodating and friendly. The camp site was beautiful. We ended up upgrading to Mapleroot Hollow, which is a bell tent with a heated mattress pad, coffee maker, extra blankets, and a space heater. Fire pit and compost toilet very nearby. We cooked dinner over the fire and watched the full moon glide across the sky. We felt very taken care of. 100% recommend.

I had such a great experience at Tuvalu's land. The yurt was beautiful inside and I was surprised at how warm we stayed on a cold winters night. I've stayed at other yurts in the winter and have never stayed so warm. Woke up, had coffee, and met the very curious goats. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Camping with the family

We loved the bell tent! It was roomy, comfortable and perfect for us. Our hosts were were absolutely wonderful. The farm animals were a fantastic treat and we loved helping feed. Thank you again for sharing your place.

Excellent stay and Hosts

I cannot rave enough about this spot and the hosts as well. We stayed two nights and didnt get to meet the hosts but stayed in contact from the time we booked. It was great communication! They were so accomadating. We were upgraded and the glamping spot was so comfy and amazing. Because our stay was short- only two nights- we didnt hang at camp much but the sleep quality was top notch and all the little extras like coffee and handwashing station and outhouse were great! The location is great- it is right off 101 but that was perfext for us as it let us jump off to the many adventures in the park and around the canal.

This is the cutest campsite. This is glamping at its finest. Super close to ONP and lake crescent. The host were very friendly. I loved the animals especially the big goat.

I really enjoyed my stay at this camp. The location was perfect. Close to Crescent Lake, Hoh Rainforest, National Park, the beaches, port Angeles The farm is very cute, the goats cuddle with each other ... so cute! The campsite is set up great with a toilet and table. The location isn’t as remote as I usually like but the owner did a fabulous job making the sites very private. And for the location and setup this site can’t be beat. I would definitely stay here Again.

Amazing stay & host

Maple Root Hollow

Tuvalu was an amazing host. She was very easy to communicate with and was incredibly warm & welcoming. She went out of her way many times to make sure I felt safe, comfortable & had everything I need. The land itself is beautiful and the location was a very quick drive to many amazing hikes. Perfect stay in the Port Angeles/Olympic Park area.

Surprisingly cozy and roomy tent!

The tent is very roomy and cozy! A huge, pleasant surprise at the end of my trip! Tuvalu and family and farm are lovely. I would love to come back and spend more than just one night!

Comfy campsite on a lovely farm

Tuvalu and her family are great! They are very welcoming, and have a lovely little farm with some great views right off Highway 101. Place was a little hard to find, but Tuvalu was very helpful.

Great stay!

Very cute camper in a great location! I would definitely stay again. More amenities were provided than I'd expected, like some nice fire starting supplies and a coffee maker with single-serve cups. It was cold even with the tiny space heater, so I was glad I'd brought an electric blanket.

Super cute farm and great location. About 1.5 hours to Hoh rainforest, less to Forks and La Push (closed due to pandemic though) downtown port Angeles is super cute and only 10 minutes away. Tuvalu was very sweet and so were her farm roommates (pigs, chickens, and goats) the tent was super clean and had the cutest touches. We only had a few days to explore ONP but I wish we had more time to relax at our site!

Tuvalu was such a fantastic host! We got set up at the campsite but then she upgraded us to one of the glamping locations onsite, helped us set up a fire, provided us a cooking stove, and even gave us a tour of the farm and animals the next morning. We enjoyed getting to know her, seeing her land, meeting her family, and how conscientious she was with COVID protocols. Would totally recommend this spot to anyone visiting the area!

Tuvalu has a very beautiful piece of land right next to ONP. The working farm is beautiful and the tent was amazing. I could tell that she put a lot of work in to making sure everything was in place for guests. She was very attentive and friendly. I enjoyed my stay and I would 100% bring friends back!

I stayed two nights - The directions were simple (even though I was aa little late!), the land was beautiful and quiet (who wouldn’t want the Olympic park to be in their back yard?), and Tuvalu was generous in sharing her knowledge. I’m really grateful for the the time I had with these hosts, and would recommend a stay when you’re in their neck of the woods... Merci!

Great stopover camp

I enjoyed my stay with Tuvalu & John on their hipcamp.; the location is perfect (close to the national forest, and coastal towns), and it was a perfect quiet and cozy spot to park my camper van for a night or two before venturing onward. Additionally, the host is a wealth of information of sustainable living, and life in general! Merci!

The tent was awesome. My 2 year old loved it, very cool oak leaf stencils inside. Host’s were very accommodating, beautiful site, great location, very clean and well kept. 10/10 would recommend.
