Welcome to the Sea Star~ a cozy yurt you'll find bright, rustic, and well-kept in a rural Northwest neighborhood 5 miles from maritime Port Townsend. Yurts are round sturdy canvas structures. Ours has a full kitchen, queen sized bed, indoor powder room, attached shower room and private deck in a wooded temperate rainforest setting. Free of streetlights to enjoy stargazing and moonlight. Pets welcome. Not suitable for small children or infants. Your hosts, Mark and Sara, live on the property.You'll notice as you turn on to our gravel road a large duck pond and a 10-acre meadow, reaching the wooded area where the Sea Star is tucked in. Expect some daytime noise typical of a rural neighborhood such as farm animals, machinery, small aircraft, and highway traffic. Seasonally there are owls and coyote living here with sounds that can be alarming until you know what it is. We're just 5 miles away from Port Townsend where you'll find a vibrant nightlife, art events, festivals, a working seaport, and excellent restaurants.

You'll notice as you turn on to our gravel road a large duck pond and a 10-acre meadow, reaching the wooded area where the Sea Star is tucked in. Expect some daytime noise typical of a rural neighborhood such as farm animals, machinery, small aircraft, and highway traffic. Seasonally there are owls and coyote living here with sounds that can be alarming until you know what it is. We're just 5 miles away from Port Townsend where you'll find a vibrant nightlife, art events, festivals, a working seaport, and excellent restaurants.

Sea Star~a cozy yurt
I appreciated the cozy yurt and having a nice warm shower, bathroom and all the other amenities. It was a peaceful morning listening to the bird songs while I drink my coffee.

Sea Star~a cozy yurt
Well appointed yurt, nice bathroom and cozy shower. Full kitchen with all needed amenities. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching birds and squirrels. Host has games and a movie viewer available which was nice on a rainy day. Parking is sufficient for one car. Some traffic noise as close to major highway. Overall a pleasant experience.

Sea Star~a cozy yurt
We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Sara’s yurt. It was very comfortable, close to what’s happening in Port Townsend but in a tranquil setting. Sara provided everything we needed, with lots of thoughtful touches that made us smile. The private outdoor patio was also comfortable and welcoming. I would definitely recommend Sara’s yurt!!

Sea Star~a cozy yurt
Such a cozy yurt! It had everything we needed for our short weekend getaway. The dogs were thankful to be able to come along. The porch was great to watch different birds at the bird feeder, and there were 5 deer watching me as I read. Sara was very responsive, and location was great for exploring Port Townsend! Would recommend staying here!
