We love our dark skies and open horizons, and we want to share them with you! Shepherd's Camp offers shaded tent sites in our windbreak with beautiful sunset views and access to a classic sheepherders wagon for additional shelter. The Bunkhouse is your home for a rustic ranch cabin experience. Cloverdale Ranch is home base for the healing hooves of our large herd of goats. Watching kids cavort in the pasture is a delight! We manage 100+ goats every summer, essential to providing natural vegetation management to manage weeds, reduce fire fuels and recycle carbon back into the soil. Explore our 80 acres of rangeland and meadow on foot or by mountain bike (no motorized bikes). Nearby as measured in the country attractions include: Inland Northwest Rail Museum: [xxxxxxxx] Audubon Lake Birdwatching: [xxxxxxxx] Train watching - we have an active rail line on the edge of the property. About one train passes every hour or so, and sometimes you can get the engineer to blow the whistle if you pump your fist! Regional events, community festivals and small town parades are scheduled in the area throughout the summer.

Breathtaking views and starry nights. Enjoy a quiet, peaceful, off-grid and off-line retreat with 80 acres of creek, meadows, sagebrush and pastures of the ranch to explore on foot or bicycle. Goats, two donkeys, a flock of chickens, two Akbash and one aloof Great Pyrenees guardian dogs round out the livestock. Pitch your tent in the shelter of the west windbreak next to the shepherd's wagon or park an RV nearby. The shepherd's wagon sleeps two very compatible or very small campers on about a twin bed size platform; bring your own sleeping pads. Site is flat and grassy, with a patio just outside the windbreak for a breathtaking view of sunsets across the sagebrush and starry nights overhead. Site is private, very private when the hedge of lilac bushes is in full leaf. Gas firepit with propane on the sunset patio is included (no open fires, fire ban on). Additional amenities available: we can have a cabin tent set up ready and awaiting your arrival. Also may reserve use of the 30A RV port for your RV or for recharging your EV (bring your own adapter for EV charging). Site includes a state-of the art CompoCuddy composting toilet in it's own camouflaged tent. Bring your own drinking water. While the frost free hydrant in the windbreak serves the same water families have been drinking for over a hundred years, technically can't call it potable water without jumping through a whole lot more hoops and paperwork. Available for cleanup and play; use your own judgment. Human powered bicycles of all types are welcome, motorized cycles aren't compatible with the land or the livestock. Except for the occasional passing train, it's so quiet you can definitely hear yourself think :-)
