Camp Keyser Forest Camp

This cabin was amazing to stay in! Me and my fiance had a great try getting cozy by the fire and watching the mountain at sunrise. This was one of our favorite glamping adventures by far. There are some beautiful hikes near by and the Cabin was perfect and cozy in the cold evening. I recommend this cabin sight to anyone who is looking to reconnect with nature and there special someone. Thank you for everything!

Nice spot for my first solo camp!

Nice little spot at site 2. Sites 1 and 2 are right on top of each other so those are great if you have a group but not so much with neighbors you don’t know if you want privacy. Sites 1 and 2 are the closest to the quiet little roads there so if you want to feel more in the woods I’d recommend sites 4-7. I had a great time though! Portapotty is clean and close to all sites. Nice fire pit and level ground for my tent. A wee bit of road noise from the main road but nothing loud. Also plenty of birds and frogs to serenade you into the evening. Thanks for the nice stay!

Very peaceful and beautiful cabin

We absolutely loved out time at Camp Keyser. The cabin is sooo cute and very clean. It was so nice having the little fire pit on and watching the rain fall on the roof. Would definitely come back!

We had such a fun time! We rented the micro cabin for a weekend. The cabin was very private and the property was beautiful. It had everything you needed for a short weekend stay. We were a short walk to the river and could easily access mountain bike trails right off the property. We would love to come back!

We had a wonderful time at Steve’s land. It was clean, private, quiet, and so beautiful. We decided to do a last minute Labor Day trip and were so grateful that a site opened up. Even though we only were able to stay for one night we are definitely planning on coming back. Steve was very understanding of all of our questions and responded quickly and thoughtfully.

A small but quiet camp site. We enjoyed our time at this site and appreciated the amount of shade this spot provided. Restroom was close by which was convenient. Nice easy walk to the nearby river.

The cabin is adorable, the setting is private and beautiful with plenty of shade so it stays relatively cool even on the hot summer days. The small view of the mountain was a lovely bonus and Steve was super nice and accomodating. Would definitely stay again 😊

I have nothing bad to say about the host Steve. Booking was a breeze. Steve came by and greeted us, all was fine there. The site was as described small but we fit everything we needed. The fire pit was provided as well as a picnic table. My issues were, no privacy. The sites were too close with no buffer between. Also, the easy walk and river access were way more complicated then expected. Overall, the host was great but the grounds were not what we were hoping.

Steve’s land was really nice and close to some beautiful swimming pools and hikes. I appreciated having a portable bathroom available and cart to carry things to the camp ground.

Steve and Kelly’s property is beautiful and well maintained! We had a great time during our stay. Definitely recommend booking both 1 and 2 for a big group or the room to spread out! The picnic tables and the firepits were so helpful and well maintained. Highly recommend staying with these kind and lovely people!

Rented Sites 6 + 7 for a birthday trip with some friends! We had room for 2 tents and 2 hammocks at Site 6, and used Site 7 as our campfire kitchen hangout spot. We had an awesome time and used the grill grate over the fire pit to cook burgers and veggies for dinner, and bacon for breakfast in the morning. You can see some surrounding homes but the noise isn’t too much. The port-a-potty was clean and recently serviced, and parking was super convenient! The host is super responsive and accommodating when we requested a late checkout. The actual property is gorgeous and full of lush moss, cool bugs, and tall trees.

Campsite is thoughtfully laid out and adorable. View of the mountain is awesome. We had rain one night and clear skies another, and the bed was cozy and comfortable for a sound sleep in both. We borrowed the colored pencils to sketch by the fire, and cooked bacon over the open flame for breakfast. A truly wonderful time! My only real issue with the cabin is that the construction feels just a little suspicious, with floor boards warping under our feet in some spots throughout the cabin. It was a little spooky but once we figured out where the e squishy spots were, we just made sure to step around them. Some reinforcements underneath would definitely help to make the cabin feel even more secure and peaceful.

overall a really great little spot and concept. Worked for us and was a much needed getaway. Love the stove and lamp and the toilet lol!!! For the price and if I was being picky--- i would liked to have seen a few more "detailed" things taken care of...the wagon fixed/boarded, a curtain above the bed which is the direction nosey people come wandering in from, the opaque roof and chairs cleaned off outside, the door easier to open and close more quietly and the neighbor's dogs not barking late into the night?? I would not have been able to bring mine with that bark fest going on. We had a great time though:)

Driving directions were great. Nearby gas station for easy gas/ice. Peaceful, well shaded location. Sites 1 and 2 are very close together, but big and have some bushes in between - would be fabulous to book 1 and 2 together for larger group. Host visited a couple of times with info and was friendly and helpful. Had a great stay!

Gorgeous campground full of mossy trees and lush native plants. Camp site #7 felt secluded and private with plenty of space for two tents, a picnic table and sitting around a fire pit.

This little cabin tucked back in the woods is an absolute treat! It was well supplied and clean, directions were clear and I enjoyed my stay. My favorite part was walking down to the river, I had the swimming area to myself in the late evening and it was so peaceful.

We had a lovely time at Steve’s cabin. It was sufficient for us, with an actual bed, basic cooking equipments, a chemical toilet, and a sun shower. There were many small thoughtful touches like providing micellar facial wipes, body wipes, kitchen towels and mosquito repellant. It might be helpful to bring an extra headlamp or two (there is a propane light and a lamp available), and maybe also a sleep eye mask if you intend to sleep past sunrise.

We loved camping at our spacious tent lot #2 campsite. Steve the owner stopped by checking in with us. He’s very friendly and hospitable. Highly recommend this place. We’re definitely going back.

Overall the experience was positive, our camp was the one the most secluded from the other spots which was a benefit and the reason we picked it. The host was very communicative and the site was clean and maintained. The downside was how much construction noise there was from either an adjacent property or a side road, we were unable to tell. There was a cabin or small home as well that was quite visible from the camp, we were under the impression it was more secluded than in reality. That said it was a nice evening and spot, and once it fell into dusk the area quieted down a fair bit.
