We planned a last minute trip to go salmon fishing. We could not find an open site at a state park or RV park. Luckily, we found Barrett's Hipcamp. It is nothing fancy, but since we were not going to be there much, it was fine for a home base to eat and sleep. Road noise was annoying during the day, but not bad at night. Although it's 5 miles away from the docks, it is very close to the Grayland Beach entrance, which usually has easy beach access for most vehicles. Thanks, Barrett!

I loved the access to a flushing toilet and sink. The space next to us was occupied by someone who seemed to live there. I liked the location and close proximity to the beach. A good option for those who don’t mind the bare minimum.

Enjoyed our stay. Site was quiet, easy to find and access. Close to the beach and flushing toilet was a huge plus/must for us as we were car camping with an SUV and didn't have our own toilet. Bathroom was well kept and clean. Fire pits and tables were a nice touch and made the site comfortable.

Honestly, we didn't stay. It just wasn't what we were looking for. We set up our camper intending to stay, but found a State Park nearby that offered a much nicer setting. The property is essentially a vacant lot along Hwy. 105. The road was relatively busy for the couple of hours that we stayed. There is a privacy fence between the lot and the road. It was minimally effective. The electrical hookup worked fine. We did not use the water. The bathroom was very clean, however it was being used by other people that were not associated with the HIPCAMP. There is not a shower. Probably a great place in a pinch, but for the accommodations it offered, it was very expensive for any kind of lengthy stay. We were not refunded for either night due to host's policy.

Nice location in grayland on large lot. Two of us rented the 2 sites and it worked well for us and was private. Pretty close to beach and 2 small grocery stores are within walking distance. Clean flush toilet with sink nearby on site. There is a bit of road noise as you're right next to 105.

The kids and went to the coast without a plan in our bus conversion. Found this site on hipcamp.com and stayed for the night. We walked to the beach and then had a fire in the campsite. Bathroom was nicer than expected and we had an enjoyable stay. In the morning we drove to Tokeland and got coffee at the gas station by the casino, good coffee for $1.29 🙂 Would definitely return to Barrett’s and recommend this spot to friends and family. Also, found parking our full sized bus easy in camp site #1.

Perfect for our trip to the coast to get some Razor Clams. Site had everything we needed and expected and bathroom worked out well. Not even 1/2 mile from the beach access which worked out great. Will definitely be back next time they are in season.

We have stayed at both site #1 and #2. #2 is certainly better though. Less road noise and more space to walk the dogs. Both sites are excellent with close proximity to the beach, but we will pick #2 if it's available.

We had a great time. We were in spot #1. It is close to the road, but a fence made it more secure. We had a little mix up, but Barrett was in the spot and very accommodating. If we are in the area, we may come again.

Barrett’s place was great. Stayed there for two nights to go clam digging. Spots was close to the beach and also close to Westport. Also loved the fact that he had access to a bathroom. Spot was very quiet and Barrett was quick to respond to any questions I had. Would definitely stay again when in the area

Barrett’s campsite is across the street from the beach. It is also on the same property as his gym. In fact, the bathroom is located in the gym, but with access on the outside of the gym. The campsite is very clean and well taken care of. It is, however, right next to the main road between Grayland and Westport, so there is definitely road noise. I got used to it. The location was very convenient for my plans.
Barrett is awesome! Very responsive and accommodating. There are several beach access roads if you want to drive on the beach. I was there with friends for the annual kite festival in Grayland.

This is our second stay at this site. We really enjoy the location. This isn't a peaceful site, per say. It's *right* off the main highway (noise factor), yet still feels secluded with the fencing. But that road proximity also means it's a block from the closest store and within a mile or two of a few other things. We're able to drive into Westport to get coffee and pick up a few things or just stick to the offerings of the Grayland Recreational Area. Simple site with everything you need and nothing you don't. Our camper has a bathroom, but the extra optional on-site bathroom is nice. P.S. We love the monkey puzzle tree! :D

The site itself is nice. Very level gravel. Power and water worked great. The host was very responsive. Things to be aware of are road noise. You are right next to 105 and the cars never really stop. Also you share a parking lot with a 24 hour gym so cars are always coming and going. For a quick overnight I would recommend it as it’s close to the beach and Westport.

Overall the site was fine. However, it is not private as depicted in the name or the pictures. Since the pictures in the description were taken another camping spot had been added right next to the one available for rent. They are very close and share a fire pit. In fact, the fire pit is much closer to the other site, enough to make it awkward to use because you feel like you’d be intruding on their site.

Barrett was a great host.
Camper was clean, quiet, and cozy. very clean professional grounds, camper was tidy and clean, plenty of space, small shower but functional. easy access to extra restroom, easy access to highway. The bed was very confortable, an upgraded mattress for sure! This was also very warm, in February. no complaints. Camper could use some hooks though for towels and coats-bags.
