We are just downstream from the Lewis River Salmon Hatchery and just upstream from Johnson Creek ( major Steelhead spawning streams ( no fishing allowed )) Our 5 acres are located in 3 levels with the first level ( campsite A) being 700 feet of river front on the North Fork of the Lewis River, the second level is short easy hike to nice shaded area with running COLD water and shade (campsite B), the third level is where our house is located and where you will park before going to select your camping spot. We have kayaks for rent (life vests are MANDATORY ) but you can also just swim in the river and enjoy the bald eagles, the osprey nest and all the other wildlife that shows up....

    Best Camping on the Lewis River
    Johan and his wife were warm and welcoming, me and my girlfriend camped just behind the house which was far enough away to feel private while only being a very short walk away from the bathroom and shower. We also got adopted by a very cute cat while we stayed.

    Best Camping on the Lewis River
    Very beautiful area. I loved the river and trees. I was camping alone and felt very safe. There is an actual shower and toilet (not a makeshift shower and outhouse like some of the other places I stayed). I was quite happy here and would come back (I'm not sure I will be in the area again, but I recommend this place).
