Lexy and her family are awesome and kept the campsite clean and maintained. The site is beautiful, on a little creek amidst the trees. There was a fire ring, a bench, a hammock, and a toilet! Lexy provided access to potable water. The main downside is that the road and neighbors are not quiet. You never get to imagine you’re in the wilderness. But you still get to see the trees and stars and have a campfire. And there are fun outdoor activities nearby.

Creek was queit but it was close to a semi busy road so there was some car noise at night, but it didn't bother us. I suggest renting the entire space if you would like creek access. We had neighbors who had the only point of access and they weren't nice enough to share, so our kiddos didn't get to play in it. Overall great stay! Make sure you pack light, the hill is a killer in the heat if you have lots of heavy gear.

The camp hosts were very nice and accommodating. There was a lot of space to spread out. You do have to hike your stuff down and up a short trail. It’s very close to Cougar for stores and restaurants and Ape Cave for a quick day trip. There is plenty of seating (not chairs) around the fire ring. There are no tables. There is a small portable potty inside a small tent and I nwas able to take a sponge bath in the creek wearing my swim suit and water shoes. They do supply well water from a hose at the top where you park. The traffic from the main road can be quite loud during the day but it’s fine at night.

The site is adjacent to a nice cold creek that was great for a post hike soak. The site was well maintained and there are may great sites to see in the near vicinity.

First it's important to know this property just changed hands in early June 2019. The new owners are amazingly friendly and helpful. They have 2 very young children at this time and the chickens also changed hands so they are still busily clucking around!
The area for camping is absolutely beautiful! We got lucky and arrived when no one else was camping because of the two spots one is much bigger and has more flat areas where we set up our bigger tent, our second tent and a canopy (it rained during our trip). The ground is semi-flat but worked fine for us. The other spot would have been more difficult for us to manage with 3 of us. The creek is so beautiful, the birds are plentiful and we were so pleasantly surprised how few mosquitos there were. We also didn't see any racoons, mice or squirrels which we thought was unusual but it meant our food was more safe! One deer came and investigated the creek while we are dinner one night.
Lexy was incredibly quick to respond to questions and requests!
Yes, the portable toilet is a little unusual. It's very low to the ground so my 6'5" husband was fairly uncomfortable using it, but we all managed just fine and Lexy did an amazing job keeping it clean and sanitary. I am hoping for her sake they can figure out some sort of composting toilet! For a night our the Cougar Bar and Grill had surprisingly good food!

My husband and son , and many other fathers and sons, had the most wonderful time at this site. They said it was beautifully wooded. The kids spent all day catching frogs at the creek and raves on and on about the caves. Hens visited them everyday from the homestead. We couldn’t have asked for better campsite. Price was very reasonable and we will be back for sure.

Very peaceful place to enjoy time away! The creek was a beautiful backdrop, both for the eyes and ears. Frogs could be heard throughout the evening - really neat! They have a compostable toilet setup for convenience, shared amongst the dispersed camping areas, as well as a hammock and fire ring area with seating for each. The host family lives on the upper level of the property, and have friendly chickens and rabbits! We would absolutely stay again!

Had a great time camping here. My friend and I had the entire camp area to ourselves, which made the weekend extra pleasant. The creek was beautiful; loved falling asleep to the birds and the nighttime frogs. There is some road noise, but it's not too bad. The host family was very friendly and kept to themselves. This is a much better option than camping at a campground, which can get so crowded and noisy sometimes. There's so much to hike and explore in the area--it's a perfect weekend getaway spot.

It was beautiful and peaceful but there were no tables. There was no separation between the two sites, but it was far enough away that we didn’t hear them. The chickens were very much in our space during the the day looking for food. Space was pretty though.

This is a beautiful place located really close to Mt St Helens National Volcanic Monument. Rich and Jane were wonderful and really nice. The little creek gives the space really nice ambient sound and is so refreshing for the hot summer days. Thanks for everything!

Jane kindly greeted us, gave the quick rundown of the property, and even provided us some free fire wood with notice of extra to purchase if we wanted. There was a cute little beaver damn on the creek- pretty sure I heard it come out to work that night for a short time, but wasn't brave enough to peek out and see for myself. The babbling creek has the most soothing affect. There was also a clean portable toilet to use- which is always appreciated! You should note that this location is about a 2 hour drive from the closer hikes to Mount St Helen Volcano, but still has plenty of hikes and views near by. Overall: beautiful stay and friendly host.

Quiet sites down a hill from the main residence next to a beautiful creek. Several places to pitch a tent. Lots of frogs and crickets to sleep to. You’ll have to carry your equipment down a hill as you cannot drive to the sites, but It’s short and not bad at all. 30 minutes to the Mount Saint Helens summit trailheads.

Jane and her family are so kind and considerate. They provided us with very cheap firewood and fresh eggs from their numerous hens. The campground is separate from their lodging, private, and beautiful.

Amazing location, great people and excellent vibes! Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a more secluded and less crowded campground. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about my stay here. Fresh eggs from their chickens were offered and wood was available to purchase on site as well. Will be coming back to camp again. If your on the fence about choosing this place, just do it :)

We had the best time at Creekside Paradise! We were there for 4 days/3 nights with our 4 kids and 2 dogs and everyone had a great time! This is the BEST location for a family with kids as the hosts have 5 of their own. The creek is beautiful and not too deep so even the toddlers and puppies enjoyed wading in the water. You are close enough to attractions like the Ape Caves and hiking. We will definitely be back to camp at Creekside Paradise!

Upon arriving at the campsite it feels like you're in someone's backyard but the two sites are tucked away so that you do have privacy. The host was nice and never bothered us but were available at the top of the site as needed. There's also a full size bathroom up there which can be nice when the on-site bathroom is full. If you have a decent sized party and want full privacy try and get both campsites. Campsites can be rocky but nothing unusual for the PNW. Overall satisfied with how things went

Jane and her husband were very attentative and friendly! The property is gorgeous and despite a bit of rain, our camping trip was nothing short of incredible. It’s situated fairly close to dozens of hiking trails and the Ape Caves.

Selfishly I don't want to give away this little Gem of a camping experience! 😂 First don't let other reviews differ you, the road is up a hill and away from site. I really noticed a loud truck once in 2 nights there. You are surrounded by Trees and a beautiful Creek! The Owners are down to earth Great people! The little Girl had my wife's number! She had her eating wild berries and different leaves! We are new to area from Chicago and our first time Tent camping as a Family.
We had 6 people with us and the other site had 3 college kids camping and we had no issues! You are a very short drive to a few beautiful lakes! We left for the day and not one time had to worry about any of our stuff. We are definitely coming back soon , and bringing the boat this time! Make sure you get some fresh eggs from owner's Chickens! Worth the price of admission! Also Jane , Ricky, and the kids were a Great help bringing all of our gear up and down to our site!

When we arrived, we were so surprised and amazed to be greeted by not only our two amazing hosts, but their FIVE kiddos, who all comfortably and willingly have built their home in a bus, and converted their nearby cabin-style sheds into awesome living spaces for everyone to spread out and be happy. We were reassured that campers would be able to have the lower creekside area (where the campsite is) quiet and secluded during a stay. The lower creekside campsite(s) are beautiful; spacious, clean and set right along the creekside. The sun was setting during our setting up, and the light during sunset turned the whole space golden. Hammocks, chairs and fire rings are already set up..this place was perfect!
