Secluded, quiet, & truly primitive
Alex’s land was exactly what I was looking for, quiet, private, and rustic. Having the whole property to ourselves made it feel like true backwoods camping but still close to local parks and spots like Potomac Point Vineyard. Alex was responsive and helpful, but also gave us space to enjoy the land on our own terms. There’s plenty of firewood and flat spots for tents, plus wildlife everywhere which made it feel alive and natural.
One note for future campers: the hill leading further back on the property is steep and best left to true 4x4 vehicles. If you’re in a standard car or SUV, stick to the gravel parking area up front, it works perfectly.
This is definitely a primitive spot (no bathrooms, water, or amenities), so come prepared, but that’s part of the charm. If you’re looking for privacy, campfires, and a genuine outdoor experience, this place is perfect.
