This was a 55-acre farm, split in half to accommodate a bypass through Charlottesville, so the previous owners had to give up half the land, and actually moved the house down to the other half of the property! They had to build a land bridge to get to the new home site, so they turned the bridge into a dam and created a beautiful large swimming pond, complete with beach and gazebo. My wife Stephanie and I bought the property in early 2017 and have turned it into a private horse farm, adding pastures, a riding ring, and 6-stall barn. There are ~21 horses who live on the property. The property is unique in that you can hardly see another house from anywhere on the property and yet we are only 2 miles from Barracks Rd. Shopping Center, and 4 miles from the University of Virginia.

Site 3 - Tent / RV site

RV/tent site · Sleeps 9 · Vehicles under 30 ft
Site 3 is at the top of the right half of the property behind two stone columns. It faces west and has the best views of the farm, the mountains and the sunset. You can either drive over the cattle guard between the two stone columns or cross the grassy area in front of them and enter the site between two trees to the left of the columns. Site 3 is completely behind those columns, if you set up in the grassy area you will be asked to move.

Site 4 is at the top of the hill on the right half of the property. It is behind Site 3, to get to it you bear right at the fork at the top of the hill, follow along the edge of the large pasture, round the corner to the left, and the site is just to the left of the drive way. You'll see a table and a couple of chairs on a small concrete slab with the fire ring. You may set up wherever works for you in the site as long as you are completely off the circular driveway.

Site 2 - Base of dam tent site

RV/tent site · Sleeps 9 · Vehicles under 20 ft
Tents Only. Site 2 is a secluded glen at the base of the dam for the pond. The dam is fairly steep so this is a tent-only campsite. It is the closest to the pond and the house (where the restroom is located). It can get a little soggy after extensive rains. A recent change is that dogs aren't allowed at site 2. It is close enough to the house that the farm dogs will sometimes either antagonize or be antagonized by dogs at that site.

Site 5 - Ridgetop meadow

RV/tent site · Sleeps 9 · Vehicles under 30 ft
Site 5 is the largest and most open of all of the sites on the farm. It is in a meadow at the end of a ridgetop. It is private and secluded with great views of the sky. It can handle several tents or a large camper trailer or large RV. The path to the site is a little bumpy, but should be passable for any vehicle.

The newest site, long and fairly shaded, with a grassy field on one side and a forest on the other. Just uphill from the pond and close to the house, but the longest drive to get to.
