Once a dairy operation and then a tree farm, locals still stop by to talk about their days haying and timbering the rolling hills of Chantilly Farm. Today, the farm hosts music festivals, weddings, and a laid back boutique RV park catering to lovers of the Blue Ridge Plateau. Native songbirds, wild turkey, & deer call the open fields, creeks, marsh, and hardwood forest of Chantilly Farm home. This is your spot for a peaceful getaway, woods camping, beginner campers, van camping, or for those who just prefer camping with reliable, clean facilities. Our central grassy sites are perfect for camping next to your car. Many offer picnic tables, power, water, or a bonfire ring. These areas are also popular campsites for those with teardrop trailers. More adventurous folks may hike into the woods to set up camp. The small RV park (25 spaces) accommodates rigs of all sizes. Two clean bathhouses with hot showers, WiFi, access to power outlets, and fresh country well water available 24 hours a day for no additional charge. Ice, snacks, and 24-hour ATM also available at reasonable prices. Most campers from away will want to check out nearby Floyd, VA which is the definition of a small town. You'll find friendly people, locally sourced food, art galleries, and a lively music scene for which the town is internationally famous. local craftspeople sell their wareson Friday nights in good weather while up to a dozen live bands provide free music for sidewalk dancing. Learn more about this land: $12.00/per person, per night. Tucked into a grove at the top of an old farm road at the back of our country campground, you'll have plenty of space to spread out and hang out. Wildlife abounds, so expect to see or hear your woodland neighbors. The grove offers privacy yet is close enough to our main facilities to make use of flush toilets & hot showers. Rugged campers head further along the road into native hardwood forest where one can stay in natural clearings well away from more casual campers. While you camp, explore our network of trails or come off the hill for a concert in the campground or a fun Friday night in the artsy country town of Floyd. Prices are per person, per night.

More for RVs, but cheap and clean

While shy on tent camping necessities, it makes up for it in amenities, and was a great deal. Chantilly Farm is more of an event space/RV site, vs a camp site. Tent sites A and B were giant, hilly, grass areas. In all of tent sites A and B, there was one table and fire ring and if I hadn't been the only person in a tent that night, I would have been without. That being said, the grounds are very clean, the bathrooms and showers are nice, they have laundry, and they have WiFi (hit or miss, depending on where you are, but they still have it, which is impressive, and good since I didn't have cell reception). This was a great place to catch a cheap nights sleep in a tent, but it's better for RVs

Gorgeous getaway

The place is beautiful, the amenities were just what we needed and host Mike was wonderfully hospitable and went above and beyond to make sure our experience was awesome. Will definitely be back.

Beautiful Grounds

It was very nice location and the grounds were well kept. Even thought the tent camping area was near the RV area there was not excessive sound or light so we were able to enjoy the stars and evening sounds.

Amazing site and amazing host. The sunrise reviews were stunning and the facilities were clean. This was my first experience using Hip Camp and Chantilly Farm was accessible for any questions. Overall a wonderful stay!! Hoping to stay again.
