Definitely recommend. The family is inviting and the property is gorgeous and unique. Ask for a tour if you have a minute - well worth it to see and hear about the thoughtful design of the property. The tent is back in the woods - private and cozy. Perfect little overnight

We love camping here! The bell tent is great. The camping pad/mattress was made up with pillows, sheets, and multiple blankets. There was fresh wood and kindling for the fire. The string of solar lights is a nice touch. We’ll definitely be back!

Beautiful property, we felt very welcomed. They set us up with some prepared firewood and wax cardboard starter to have a bonfire. We had rain throughout the evening, but the tent stayed 100% dry in our comfy bed. Perfect stopover for our road-trip.

this was so cute! i absolutely loved camping here, it was an absolute blast. amid the summer heat, this tucked away site kept us private and cool and felt so wonderful to stay at. would stay here again!!!

The space is so large and there's so much nature there. There's a surprise in the back, and discovering it is so nice, but I'll reveal a bit — there's a playground. The campsite we went to was serene and there were lots of firepits nearby. On top of all this, the hosts were very welcoming and seeing how they lived was very inspiring. We came in from West Virginia and even though we live in a rural place, it felt like a wonderful getaway for the weekend. It'd be a wonderful place to go to on our way back.

We highly recommend this campsite. The community members living on and cultivating the land are wonderful stewards of the natural environment and clearly take great care to protect the flora and fauna while creating a beautiful, accessible experience for campers.
They communicated clearly and effectively and gave us the space to explore and enjoy the site.
We hope to return someday soon.

This site was awesome. It included drinkable well water as well as several hammocks and an assortment of contraptions to climb and swing on. I could have spent days at a time here and will make sure to clear out enough time to book for a weekend next visit!

This camping experience was absolutely unforgettable. The host and their family were incredibly kind and welcoming, making me feel right at home. The campsite itself was breathtaking, like something straight out of a childhood fairytale. I couldn't have asked for a better stay—11/10, I will definitely be returning in the future!

We had a great night at Cambia! The instructions were clear and it was a short walk to our campsite. We loved the vibe and checking out all of the structures built in the woods! Will definitely be back next time we intend to camp in the area.

This spot really is magical- my 8 yo, our dog, and I had the entire area to ourselves and the artful amenities really just make it feel like some neat other world you've tapped into. Guests are greeted by very warm hosts and their pot bellied pig, and you are offered a wagon to convey your things to the campsite (very helpful). We enjoyed playing on the creative ropes course features, dipping our toes in the little pond, using the composting toilet, drawing water from the outdoor kitchen area, and although we didn't have time/need to explore the outdoor solar shower, I would definitely think it would be a highlight to experience as well.

Beautiful community and land. Very private site with trails. The family was lovely and welcoming. The shower and toilet are functional. I took a swim in the fish pond and loved the experience.

My wife and I went for an overnight at this campsite and everything went exactly to plan. The site was very pleasant, it is not an intimidating campsite at all if that is a concern. But at the same time, it doesn’t feel over civilized like many crowded public parks with the cinderblock bathroom buildings and fixed steel grill structures may feel. Sort of a best of both worlds.
A man met us at the entrance and gave us a brief tour but we were otherwise left to our own devices. There was one other couple camping somewhat nearby but their sight was obscured from view, and I passed a few other people on the property from time to time.
We brought two dogs which we kept on a lead inserted into the ground, no issues there.
Overall I would come back here and in fact fielded the idea to some friends of ours to have a group trip the this exact site, as I think the layout would be favorable to several associated groups camping at the same time together on the various sites in the campground area.

Magical Forest Campsite
Perfect place for an overnight getaway with my 6 year old daughter. We had the place to ourselves for a night of camping. We were greeted by a very friendly member of the community and then had lots of privacy. My daughter also loved playing on the various ropes course activity stations that were set up near the campsite. Would definitely come back.

The people at Cambia are incredibly welcoming, thoughtful, and sweet. The land is incredibly funky, and a lot of time has been put into making it feel like home. Truly there is no place else like it. Take a stroll through the woods, appreciate the buildings and projects that the community has built, and enjoy your stay!

Me and my boyfriend camped here with our 2 dogs for about 3 weeks. It was an amazing time for us. The community has some great people there and are very helpful. Bruce was just so nice and just so responsive.we had lunch with the commun members and it was a great experience. I loved their way off living off the land. We will definitely be back there in the spring when it warms. I really enjoyed having conversation with Nick. He is very warm and just really down to earth. They all were very warm and compassionate. If you have some time to definitely experice Cambia I would definitely do it you wont regret it. Thank you Cambia and see you soon.

Magical Forest Campsite
Can confirm that it is, indeed, magical. Small but private campsite in the woods, quiet and peaceful. Nice trail for an evening stroll. An abundance of fallen branches, kindling and tinder that can be gathered for a fire. Friendly and helpful hosts. Hosted by a very unique community that is fascinating to visit on its own.

This was the perfect spot for me! As other reviewers mentioned, the site was set back from the parking lot by a short walk, but it wasn't hard to carry my supplies out, and I was offered a wheelbarrow if I needed one. Bruce, who gave me a tour, was very kind, as was everyone else I met. The campsite itself was wonderful and very private - equipped with a bench, a hammock, a swing, a compost toilet, and plenty of firewood. I also had a great time exploring the woods. I definitely plan to come back for another stay in the future!

Cambia Community offered a very nice and secluded campsite for a little get away feel. We chose not to participate in their community and activities, but they are very welcoming and inclusive. They have a wide range of amenities including a solar heated shower and chopped firewood.

Well maintained campsite with a hammock, fire ring and outhouse. Nearby nature trail and fun features to explore like a log teeter totter and swings. Cambia community was friendly and welcoming, even shared some fresh produce from their garden. It’s a bit of a walk from the parking area but they let us borrow a wheelbarrow to move all of our stuff. Enjoyed outlet stay.

My friends and I had the best time staying at Cambia community! The campsite was secluded in from the rest of the community and suited our needs perfectly. We were provided with plenty of firewood and a composable toilet right next to camp. There was also a very cool playground with fun and unique “team building” activities, we enjoyed the rope swing and zipline very much. The stars were gorgeous out there and we could even see the Milky Way. There’s a well maintain network of trails through the woods that led us to our campsite from the parking lot (with many hidden gems along the way). The short walk from our car was manageable as we were provided with a wheelbarrow to carry our gear. Everyone we met at Cambia were very friendly and were kind enough to serve us meals and share about their way of life as an intentional community. We enjoyed the vibe so much that we decided to stay an extra night in exchange for some farm work. Our last morning we harvested vegetables and peeled garlic for pesto making. Such a unique and enriching experience that we will never forget. We will miss you Cambia!

We loved everything here! The whole stay was magical. You can tell that the community out so much effort and creativity into the forest trails! We felt overly accommodated with everything that was provided to us. I have to say, the outdoor shower was my favorite. So beautiful and serene with hot water that doesn't run out. I will say that the tree tops block out almost all moonlight, so make sure you bring bright flashlights or lanterns!
