Pine Forest Campsite 1

Campsite 1 is great for one vehicle. It's easy to pull-in and back-out via the graveled campground road. It's cozy and tucked in amongst a mature pine forest, hence the name. Our campground is located far from highway 460 and within 30 minutes of the Peaks of Otter access to the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Campsite two is great for a couple of vehicles or one vehicle and a huge tent. It's cozy amongst the pines but still provides plenty of space. And if you're traveling with a group, but want some space of your own, you can also book site 1 or 3 and still have easy access to everyone in your group.

Pine Forest Group Campsite 4

While we have plenty of cozy sites, the Group Camp is available for those traveling with a couple of vehicles. Depending on how you plan to camp and how cozy you want to get, you can easily fit 4-5 vehicles at this site. It has easy access to our gravel campground road so you can enter, exit, and arrange your group however you'd like.

This was our second trip to Blue Ridge Overland Gear and camping at site #2. Rick is a great host and the site was great. Plenty of space for two rigs. Very secluded but still easy to get to from the Blue Ridge, National Forest roads and cool downtown districts in Lynchburg and Roanoke. We will definitely be back!

Pine Forest Group Campsite 4
We had a great time camping at the Blue Ridge Overland Gear property. It’s very private and perfectly level for overland rigs to set up. Rick is a great host and gave us a tour of the BROG facility and let us buy some gear off the shelf as well. We will definitely be back as this is a the perfect base camp location near some excellent 4WD trails in the nearby national forests and highly ranked disc golf courses. Thanks Rick & BROG!

We had a great weekend camping at Rick’s campsite! The location was perfect and the campsite was clean, private, and relaxing. Rick was very responsive and the instructions were clear and thorough. Would definitely recommend the campsite for others.

Awesome tucked away spot! I went for an overnight trip to the area and just needed a place to pull in late after an event I was attending, and this place was perfect, clean, quiet and the host was very responsive. I never met him but I messaged him when I got there and he responded almost immediately, I wish I knew about this when I had my trail jeep 10 years ago and spent a lot of nights on trails. I have also been a costumer of Blue Ridge Overland so it was cool to stay in their area. next time I’m in the area I wouldn’t hesitate to stay!

It was a peaceful and quiet site surrounded by woods. The fire ring was nice and the land was level. We had a great night. It could not have been more peaceful.

The campsites and instructions are laid out for you before you get there. Rick is so hospitable and full of knowledge about what to do in the area. Site is very close to the Blue Ridge Parkway and there are many other things to do in the area as well. Would highly recommend staying here!

Awesome setup, surrounded by woods. Quiet, relaxing, and right on the grounds of Blueridge Overland Gear! Try out your new products after buying them! Check in is super easy, with appropriate signage and spots clearly marked, and level, with fire rings as well. Would definitely recommend👍

Outstanding hipcamp in the heart of BedFord, VA perfect for visiting local attractions or jumping on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Camp host was excellent checking in on us to make sure we got settled in and also showed us some of the goods that the local shop produces.

Perfect spots sitting at the back of the property and well marked sites that are nice and level. Nice a quiet and not far from downtown Bedford, this camp is definitely on my list for future visits.

Loved camping at Blueridge overland gear hip camp! The camp site is clean in the middle of the woods. Very quiet and peaceful. Would camp there again for sure. Pretty level ground, easy to find flat area to park.
