Located on 16 acres along Black Ridge, this property features two campsites, each equipped with water, power, septic, and internet. Both sites are visible from one another but not right next to each other, providing a sense of privacy while still feeling connected. With only two sites on the property, you can easily rent both, bring a friend, and enjoy your own private ridge retreat. On the parallel ridge, you can often see sheep and cattle grazing, while on the property itself, deer and turkey are regular visitors, and the occasional bear may wander through. The site is located just minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway, Chateau Morrisette Winery, Villa Appalaccia Winery, Buffalo Mountain Ziplines, Rocky Knob, the Black Ridge Trail, and the iconic Mabry Mill. In just 15 minutes, you can be in the charming town of Floyd, Virginia, where you can enjoy the Friday Night Jamboree at the Country Store or sip award-winning coffee at Red Rooster Coffee. Meadow Nook, aka Site 2
We cannot recommend this Hipcamp enough! This was, hands down, one of our favorite camping stays, and my son and daughter both said it was their favorite Hipcamp they’ve ever stayed at! Getting there was incredibly easy. The host’s directions were spot-on, and once we arrived, it truly felt like we had been tucked away in the woods, completely surrounded by nature and away from everything else. It was peaceful, private, and exactly the kind of escape we were looking for. The location was absolutely perfect. Our first day, we took a short drive over to Buffalo Mountain for a hike and then spent some time exploring downtown Floyd. The next day, we ventured over to Rocky Knob, which was also incredibly close. We even made a trip to Château Morrisette Winery, which was only about 6 minutes away! But honestly, some of our favorite moments were spent right at camp. We loved wandering around the property and walking the driveway, constantly spotting wildlife and enjoying all the little pieces of nature around us. It was the perfect combination of feeling completely secluded while still being close to so many things to explore. We left already talking about when we could come back, and I think that says everything. If you’re considering booking this Hipcamp—DO IT! You won’t regret it. We absolutely loved our stay and can’t wait to return!

It was my first camping trip with my new campervan. The site was easy to find and fairly level. Hookups worked well. The site was quiet and the view was beautiful! I would stay there again.

A Wonderful Stay with a Great View

The site was peaceful and quiet, and all of the utilities worked exactly as expected. It was easy to find and access, and the views were beautiful. I saw plenty of wildlife, including fireflies, deer, turkeys, and even a bear crossing in the distance. The recommendations the host included in the listing were also excellent and made the stay even more enjoyable. I would definitely stay here again.

This is a beautiful, peaceful spot with gorgeous views! Very clean and thoughtfully made, you’re quietly tucked away while still being convenient to several local things to do. And the host, Rebecca, great communication! We would definitely recommend these campsites!

High Pasture Ridge View, aka Site 1
These spots are perfect for privacy but quick access to the town of Floyd or Meadows of Dan. We camped with another couple and it was like we were on our own private land. Quick drives to many wineries as well as shopping. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful Stay With a View

Such a fantastic experience with an incredible view! The space is surrounded by nature, with breathtaking sunset views over the ridge every night. The space is private, yet the town is only a short drive away. We had everything we needed for a smooth experience. The electric worked perfectly, the spots were flat, and the wi-fi was high-speed. The owners met us on site on the first day and were extremely helpful and responsive whenever we had questions throughout the stay. I will definitely be back in the future whenever I am in the area!
