We absolutely loved Deborah’s camp. Perfect getaway just outside of Woodstock. Be prepared for the hike up, it’s steep but super doable. Pack light because everything you could need is at the camp. We will definitely be coming back soon! Thank you deborah for sharing your land!

Very peaceful and scenic spot! Hosts provide everything you could dream up in terms of supplies so only bring your clothes, food, and bedding. The hike up is very steep and took us a looong time with our gear. Walking without gear up was 12 minutes with some breaks to catch our breath. Walking down was 8 minutes. Very comfortable site to hang out in all day. Also near many fun spots to visit. Highly reccommend!

This was my boyfriend and I’s first time using Hipcamp, and I’m sure we’ll have a hard time finding another site that can beat our experience here! Deborah and Ron were so sweet, the site was very private and it was the perfect Labor Day getaway for us and our dog!
Don’t underestimate the hike in! We got in after dark in the rain so it’s definitely doable but it is uphill and pretty steep in some spots so pack light and wear shoes with good traction and ankle support. They have pretty much everything you’d need in the shed minus clothes and food so there’s no need to bring much more.
The tent zipper broke during our last night so we had to sleep with the tent open, but they ordered a new tent as soon as I let her know so that shouldn’t be an issue for future campers!
Overall an amazing experience, we will absolutely be coming back next month for some leaf peeping!

This was exactly the “unplug” we needed before heading back to NYC for the upcoming school year. No cell service meant more time with each other and just gazing at the brilliant view.
The hike to the camping Spot is no joke, luckily they had the roads bulldozed recently (annd it’s anugust) and our AWD Subaru Outback was able to make the ascent/descent. Read thoroughly through Deborah's description of the site, and if you’re game you absolutely won’t regret it, the view is unreal and the trails around the property are woodsy and quiet.
They really provide much of what you need for a rustic, glamping stay. Our 5 year old especially loved the hike down to the Brook near camp and picking blackberries (which we put in pancakes). He loved walking barefoot along the little stream and catching frogs. Each day he played with caterpillars and enjoyed making the fire with us.
Bring hammocks, there are plenty of good spots around camp for them. Pack food and extra ice (our ice lasted 4 nights) and don’t forget bedding. We got lucky enough to meet Deb and Ron and they are just lovely people!! We hope to come back in the autumn sometime and again if you can handle getting to the site it’s really amazing and worth it!

I’m honestly just very disappointed in this whole trip. We were told that the bed was busted and that we needed to bring our own bedding literally two days before the trip we went out and purchased a $75 air mattress . I emailed Deborah and asked about fishing Tourist sites and trails. I also told her we had purchased our own bedding. I probably sent 3/4 emails asking questions and I finally got an answer the day we were driving the 5 1/2 hours to the site. My answer was ‘we will be coming up to greet you on our ATV and will answer any questions you have then’. By our 3rd day on site, we still had no response to any of our questions and no greeting from the hosts. We were never met and none of our questions were answered. 3 days in and completely ignored and frustrated we packed up two days early after we had paid for 5 and came home. Initially we were told that everything was provided and there was a gorilla cart to help load stuff up the brutal hike. Honestly it tipped over twice and would have never made it up the mountain. They say their two year old grandson can do this hike. Let me tell you, you must be fit or an avid hiker to be able to make this hike without passing out. It is straight up a mountain hill and even my two dogs gave us a hard time. The pictures show this amazing view and Was the whole reason for us going there and when we hit the site, the whole thing is overgrown and you can’t even see through the mountains. Just a complete dud with no communication

My husband and I loved camping at this spot. The view was well worth the hike up there. The path was clear and her instructions were very helpful finding the spot. We enjoyed our time there and would definitely recommend staying here to anyone who loves a great view and a cozy fire!

This camp was just beautiful!!! Worth the hike! It’s a short hike but a good work out. It was helpful that we were able to have our cooler and backpacks brought up to site for us. Yahoo!
The peaceful environment was just what my grandson and I were looking for, best fire pit ever and the shower was such a nice treat!
We loved our stay!

This place was perfect. The hike up is no joke. I thought it was. I was wrong. The switchback they forged (probably after floods?) makes it a bit easier. Can take a gorilla cart about half-ish way up but it is absolutely worth the hike and hard work. I advise only bringing what you can carry. It was the perfect spot and exactly what we were looking for.

Me, my girlfriend and my cats loved our experience! We had no difficulty finding the place, we only found it difficult to climb the trail as we were carrying too heavy things, so I recommend not doing that haha unfortunately our three days of stay were rainy but it didn't stop the fun, every detail was incredible and the hosts are kind and incredible people!

Great land and owners! Every amenity other than food, flashlights, and personal belongings are accounted for. Lovely history and perfect view. The hike up/down is no joke for those who don't have all their belongings/food on their back. Nancy provided an initial ATV ride up to the site for heavy things (like cooler and our dry goods tote). There was a wagon provided, but the 15 mins trail is very rough and rocky from previous weather so it's a doable doozy. Nearby river was lovely to dip into, and it was great to get hypnotized at the campsite watching the skies and miles of trees. Tent held up nicely with the small storms that came by.
Tldr; Great experience. Perfect view. Perfect amenities. Rough trail up/down (if you have more than a backpack and if no ATV). Great private getaway.

We had an amazing stay here! The spot is private and huge, well kept, and has everything you need. Deborah gave us all the info we needed to find the spot and have a great time.
Tent held up and protected us from some crazy rain. Roads to and parking spot remained fine during said rain (we were worried.)
Would recommend making a stop at the Woodstock farmers market and then chef-ing it up with all the materials provided.
Overall we loved this spot and highly recommend!

It’s really rare to be able to wake up and not hear your camping neighbors rustling around or starting up their vehicles. This is a secluded paradise, with an amazing view that you have earned. I only wish that we did our stay maybe a month later when the autumn leave colors really start to come through, I’m sure it’s nothing short of spectacular looking down on all of that.

The site really has everything you need fully stocked (minus food). We took full advantage of the quiet dirt roads and trails for hiking and running as well as food and swimming spots in Bridgewater, Woodstock, and Plymouth. The birdsong in the woods at the campsite are show stopping and transporting. We experienced a strong rain storm during our stay and the tent and site held up really well.

The location was well off the beaten path. The 15 minute walk up to the site is steep but very doable. Just remember to take this into account when packing for your trip. Views from the site are gorgeous! Deborah did a great job of laying out everything that was at the site and everything we needed to bring. She saved the day by helping to take stuff up to the campsite in her ATV. We managed to time our arrival just before a downpour so she was a life saver.

Had a great time at Deborah’s little mountain site. The hike in is ROUGH if you’re not a skilled hiker/mountain climber. They offer gear assistance and I wish we had utilized it. Other than that the views and stars are amazing and make the hike in totally worth it. We came in summer so it was a little buggy during the day, but it’s camping so that’s expected. They provided everything we could possibly need. The toilet/shower house is very nice as well. Would love to stay again in other seasons to see how that mountain view changes. We didn’t have our pups this trip, but knowing the site is pet friendly is an added bonus!

If you're craving that far-out, remote, in-the-middle-of-the-woods feeling (we were), this spot is it!! The drive in is stunning and follows the most beautiful little creek/river for about 5 miles. The hike definitely qualifies as a climb (fairly steep in some sections), but only took us 10-15 minutes. We will definitely be coming back, but this time only with our packs (rather than having to use the Gorilla cart, which was great to have). Deb and Ron have an 4x4 that they can help carries supplies up with, which might be more appealing to others. Such a beautiful view at the top..super peaceful and the campsite is impressively equipped. You can tell Deb & Ron have put a lot of heart into the site, and wanting others to enjoy such an incredible spot. Also huge plus that right off the Hipcamp there are awesome hiking trails. Thank you for a great stay!!

One of the best HipCamp sites we’ve ever been to! Private, beautiful views of the mountains, all the amenities for sleeping, cooking, dining, fire burning, toileting, showering, and even a really good wagon to help lug all of your stuff up the hill to the campsite (wear shoes that grip!). We can’t wait to bring back our friends.

My boyfriend and I adored staying at Deborah’s camp, everything was exactly as stated in her thorough instructions and detailed pack list. The hike is a little uphill so be prepared! The view was incredible and the night sky was just as gorgeous with all the stars. Would highly recommend!

Really beautiful spot with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The hosts have thoughtfully planned and provided so many things to make the stay as comfortable as can be. The location is pretty remote and requires a fair hike in which can be tough with camping equipment/food etc., so it’s something to be aware of going in, but the cart provided by the host was helpful. Thanks so much Deborah, we had a great time :)

The camp was the perfect getaway! Deborah is a wonderful host that provided everything you could think of for our stay. We arrived in the pouring rain and she not only carted us up to the camp but stayed to help us set up extra tarps and made sure we were all settled before leaving. The camp is a perfect spot to literally unplug from everything while still having a few comforts like a bed off the ground, a bathroom (with as close to indoor plumbing as you can get!), and a shed full of cookware and necessities. The camp was set in the perfect spot to take in the gorgeous view of the mountains. Thanks to Deborah, her family, and neighbors that all worked hard to make our stay possible! We look forward to coming to camp again!
