Former Dairy Farm but, the milking and hay barns burned many years Past. Harold's View Farm now camping. There are 4 entrances to the 80 acres of hay fields, now camping sites. Three entrances are for two sites each, the house entrance is for any questions. Please stop in if you have questions. The fields have been maintained to some degree until 2019 when Lee came up with the idea of primitive camping. The land turns out to be ideal because each site makes you feel like the only campers there. New this year you will find a picnic table for 6 and a 3 Ft. dia. fire pit with adjustable grill that flips out for open fire @ each site. Another new item is open to the sky "Hot Shower"

Madine's site is a larger mowed grassy meadow overlooking rolling hills, a beaver pond, mountains and farmland. The site is situated in the corner of the meadow with shade trees for the afternoon. Madine's is the only site in this meadow providing campers room for large tents, car camping, camp trailers and still have space for activities. A nice 3-foot diameter steel fire ring is a great spot to watch the night sky. The access to the meadow goes up a short hill so a vehicle with high access or AWD/4WD is recommended. There is a spot to park right near the road as well. There is a short walk back on a grass path towards the farmhouse to a porta potty. There are walking paths on the farm, and lots of bird watching. Harold's View Farm is within easy driving distance to Stowe, Smugglers Notch and Burlington. NOTE the first two photos are entrance and sign. We have three new items this year 1. A picnic table for six. 2. A three-foot diameter metal fire ring with adjustable grill. 3. A hot shower with changing room: you park in driveway of farmhouse and follow signs as you walk along side of our chicken yard.

Large, mowed section of meadow with fantastic views of Mt. Mansfield and surrounding green mountains. One of two sites that cannot see each other in this meadow provides room for large tents, car camping, camp trailers and still have space for activities. A new 3-foot diameter fire ring is a great spot to watch the night sky. The site is backed up to the maples for afternoon shade. Handle wood is a new location on the North property line with great views of Harold's meadows.  [NOTE: use entrance #3] There is a 3'-0" diameter steel fire ring along with a picnic table and additional firewood can be foraged in the woods to the left of the site. The campsite overlooks many meadows and there is a well-established beaver pond that hosts wildlife species. Feel free to explore the wooded ledge and walk on the many mowed trails on the property.  When arriving you enter at the third farm access drive marked entrance 3. If needed there is additional parking area in the beginning of the fields. Please NOTE the first two photos one shows you what the entrance looks like the other is the sign. We have three new items this year: 1. A picnic table for six. 2. A three-foot diameter metal fire ring with adjustable grill. 3. A hot shower with changing room: you park in back of house and follow signs as you walk past our chicken coop. NOTE: Towels and wash cloths are not included.

Pride Rock is located down into a beautiful hay field with views looking along the valley. There is lots of wildlife viewing, especially on top of the epic rock pile. We have a new 3-foot diameter steel fire ring with adjustable grill. This is one of two camping sites in the grassy meadow, but it is not within view of the other site affording you privacy. You can put your tent up under the rocks for some afternoon shade or in the large, mowed area above the rock pile. There is a porta potty located at the top of the field that is shared with one other site. There are walking paths all around the fields at Harold's View farm for all of our visitors that have been mowed in the tall grass which is great for walking or mountain biking. Pride Rock at Harold's View Farm is close to Burlington, and the Smuggler Notch and Stowe Areas.  We have three new items this year:  1. A picnic table for six. 2. A three-foot diameter metal fire ring with adjustable grill. 3. A hot shower with changing room: you park in farmhouse driveway and follow signs alongside the chicken yard. Spacious cabin with canvas/screen front on elevated platform. 16 x 14 foot cabin with outdoor carpet flooring. Save the hassle of packing and setting up a tent. At Pete's Lookout you will enjoy beautiful views, calming sunrises and afternoon shade. There are 2 maple trees right next to the cabin, perfect for a hammock. The cabin is being offered with 1 queen bed and two cots. [Please bring your own bedding] as the mattress has a cover only to make it easy to keep clean. Bring your family and friends along with some air mattresses. AWD or FWD required to drive to this site, it would be a short walk if you needed to park a 2wd at the meadow entrance. Porta potty is a short walk up near the farmhouse. NOTE: the only electricity we have is solar lights and a power pack for charging phones. We have three new items this year: 1. Hemlock campsite features a fully furnished twelve feet by sixteen-foot NEW Canvas Kodiak Cabin Lodge Tent on a wooden platform. [NOTE: use entrance 3 follow field road to Port-a-potty on right then you will see the Hemlock sign] Enjoy a queen-sized memory foam mattress as the night sounds lull you to sleep. The site is very secluded with plenty of privacy. You can drive to the site with a car, van or pickup. Bring your own cooking and cleaning kits. There is no drinking water near this site. Please note that this is a tent and bed you do not have to set up - Just everything else you would take camping. The only electricity we have is outside solar lights. Please NOTE the two photos, one shows the entrance the other is the sign. We have three new items this year: 1. A picnic table for six. 2. This place is beyond beautiful! Between the view from your camp site, hot water showers & Louella being an excellent host, this place is one of a kind. She was/is the sweetest lady & came to help me when my car died & had fire wood ready for my arrival. Will book again!

The Farm was great site. We had plenty of privacy. The views were beautiful. Super easy check in and with clear Instructions. The location was perfect for Vermont as we did some hiking, and visited Burlington. Support local business.

The view is fantastic! The setting is serene. If you enjoy looking at the stars and viewing the sunrise from your tent, this site delivers. Directions and access were spot on from the provided description. We arrived after dark and were able to position our van on a flat spot by the picnic table and fire pit. We’re both seniors and grew up on farms so it was an extra bit of a holiday for us to be camping in a farm field. The porta potty is a short 5 minute walk through a mowed path. We would have rated this site a perfect 5 except for the cars that drove through our site in the morning. We didn’t know there was a cabin site a short distance away. We’re still not sure if our site is the driveway to access that site or the people staying just chose to leave through our site’s road access The first car passed right by the right side of our van in the dark at 5:48 AM as if they were late for a meeting or something. Definitely too fast, not cool, and good we didn’t leave anything lying on the ground. After that WTH moment, we went back to sleep. A little after 8 AM a second car came from the cabin and drove through the other side of our site, as in around the picnic table and fire pit. I have a pic of that. I don’t know if this is a one off event or if Madine’s site is a drive through site. We didn’t see anything in the description or mention of it in reviews. Not a good set up though and frankly is hazardous. I hope this review helps the owners and other campsite users.

Pete's Lookout
We loved our stay in the Cabin at Louella’s place. It was peaceful, had a lovely view of the mountains, and everything we needed for a rustic weekend stay. The bed was comfortable with plenty of warm blankets available. We brought sleeping bags and a small propane heater that kept us warm enough. We hope to visit again in the future and would recommend the cabin to anyone looking for a cozy stay.

Found this spot while sitting on Mt Philo; never a plan with me and it was looking pretty bleak but what a great spot to open my rooftop tent. Quiet, serene and a hot shower. Slept really well

I loved camping at Louellas! The sights are absolutely beautiful and Louella was wonderful. She showed my son and I her chickens and brought us fresh firewood in the morning before we had even woken up. We arrived super late because of a flat tire after driving 12+ hours. We had an issue with a skunk at our site and she changed our site before we even arrived and was just wonderful in general. Thank you for having us on your beautiful land.

This stay was so amazing! Campsite #1 had a beautiful view of the mountains and had so much space for any sort of camping. There was a portable bathroom on site, and running water upon request. The host, Louella, was the friendliest and most welcoming! She greeted us when we arrived and had firewood and eggs for us. We felt very taken care of with her, and she even let us play with her dog. Would love to come back someday, this was a very special place.

This location was absolutely stunning. We stayed in the cabin option and it exceeded expectations. The cabin was clean and the bed was comfortable. We brought some of our own extra down comforters for a fall stay but barely needed them. The site feels extremely private. Certainly the best outdoor shower view I have ever had. 10/10 for glamping experience.

This site was absolutely perfect. So peaceful, not completely secluded (which I prefer- I felt very safe), but still completely quiet. The view was beautiful and Louella was so sweet. Bonus- the shower was the best I’ve ever had in my whole life. (I’m sorry I didn’t have cash to leave gratuity!)

We tent camped for one night, it was beautiful and quiet. Louella came to check on us and make sure we were settled in the campsite shortly after arriving. Sites were relatively private but still very conveniently located.

The views from Harold's View are simply spectacular. It's one of the most quiet places I have ever been. If you so choose, you can be in Burlington in 20-25 minutes, so easy. The host is such a kind, endearing person that I nearly teared-up when I had to leave. I loved the outdoor shower, the beautiful view of rolling meadows, and the mountain ranges off in the distance. I will definitely return to camp here again.

I absolutely loved staying on Louella's land! It was a beautiful spot with gorgeous mountain views, blue skys and the trees were just starting to change colors. The facilities were great and the land was easy to navigate, and Louella was so sweet to check up on me in case I needed any help. Will definitely be coming back here!

Super pretty place! definitely wish we had these back home! I got there at night and i have trouble seeing at night so I struggled to find the site. The sites are right past their driveway and the signs are a little bit off the road so if you go slow you will be ok :)

The campsite was a beautiful field with a picture perfect view of some hills where the moon slowly crests from behind. There were a few other sites nearby but you felt like you had the place to yourself. The outdoor shower was perfect after a long day of hiking! The hosts were great and helpful. I wouldn't miss out on their fresh eggs. I would certainly go back again.
