We loved camping at dome @ the meadows! The campsite has everything you could want and need and is unbelievably peaceful. On a clear night, the sky glows with stars, and if you stay at campsite B you’ll fall asleep to the sound of running water from the stream that’s nearby. Nelson was super attentive to our needs, we had a winter freeze on the first night we stayed there, and the next morning he came to check on us and even brought us a space heater so we would sleep comfortable the second night. Can’t recommend this place enough! Will definitely become a regular camping spot for us.

We had a wonderful stay at this campsite! The place is very clean, peaceful, and absolutely beautiful — the perfect spot to relax and unwind. The host was thoughtful and provided supplies like sunscreen, bug repellent, and sanitizer, which made our stay extra convenient. The toilets and showers were spotless, and we really appreciated the attention to cleanliness throughout the site.
Another nice touch was the solar lighting — enough to guide you safely at night without disturbing the natural darkness and stargazing experience. Overall, a very well-maintained and welcoming campsite. We’d definitely stay here again!

We loved the place. Beautiful area near the mountains, great price, great host, and a great site. The cover over the picnic table was nice, there were outdoor games, a stream running along the site (there are provided river tubes and deeper areas for swimming), a hammock, outdoor shower and pottery, a hose, and a generator. We didn't have issues with mosquitos and the sun sets behind the mountain earlier in the evening, providing some protection from the sun. Overall, we loved this site and we will likely be coming back.

I loved the camp site! The stars are very voidable and got to see my first shooting star! The river access was amazing and the showers functioned every time we used it. There was a gas generator, corn ball, a football, and tubes available to go down the river. He took our trash. There is no trash drop off but there is recreational park we used the end of the trip. There isn’t any cell service so a cell booster may be required but there’s a gas station about 10 minutes away if you do need service. The owner of the land stop down on one of the days a was very accommodating and serviced the land. It is very well taken care of.

We loved everything about Campsite B at dome@themeadows. My family and I camped for my birthday, and we had an absolute blast! The recommended waterfall hike by Nelson is an absolute must!! We went there first thing in the am and were able to do a birthday photo shoot with the waterfall, and it was Amazing!! We loved how campsite B is so easily accessible to the river. We floated on tubes in the sun looking at the beautiful views. They also had all kinds of extras we all loved! Latterball, cornhole, disc golf, a generator(for the air mattress) wood swing, 2 picnic tables, hammock..ect. It was definitely a cozy site. There is one other site, and they are where you can see, but they were respectful and never bothered us at all. Only a porter potty, but kept very clean!! The only thing which was a little hard, was that none of us were able to get any wifi or data service, so we had no idea where anything was once we left camp. (But honestly no cell time was good) I was nervous where we've never used Hipcamp, but it felt very safe. We loved the campsite, and can't wait to go back. We made wonderful family memories for our first camping trip with the two teens!!!

After reaching the geodesic Dome that marks the entrance of the property we found that both campsites were well designed and layout. Our site nestled next to the White River, which invited for a small tubing adventure.
All amenities (and more) were at our disposal as advertised and all was very clean.

We had such an amazing stay! Being right on the river made the trip so special. We spent tons of time playing and relaxing by the water. The campsite itself is full of fun spots to hang out, which made it easy to unwind and enjoy the outdoors. We had a blast playing golf and frisbee golf too! Plus, the Tunbridge Country Store, just a minute down the road, was perfect for grabbing delicious food and ice cream after a day of adventure. A big highlight was the hike at Old City Falls, recommended by Nelson. The waterfall is absolutely stunning and the swimming there is fantastic. Definitely bring a bathing suit! And after all that outdoor fun, having access to the awesome shower was such a treat. We can’t wait to come back!

Well appointed campsite with clean shower. We enjoyed our stay, but be aware that the site is close to a road and is located in an open field, so there is little privacy. Easy to get to and responsive host. We'll come back.

Great spot and a beautiful sight. Many extra details on the site make the stay very enjoyable. Site is very clean and private. Solar lights at night are a great touch. I’ll be back!

I loved camping here!
The camp site was perfect. Great space.
The water down by campsite B was perfect to float and sit on the rocks and enjoy the sun.
My dog absolutely loved relaxing in the grass while we played yard games.
The sunset on our first night was beautiful.
We also drove to the falls about 15 minutes away and it was a great little hike.
Overall this was an amazing experience and would recommend this to anyone

This is a great spot. Accurate to the listing. Property is right off a rural road so there's a bit of traffic but barely noticeable. Nelson has set up a dog tent for us as we were traveling with our puppy. There's 2 picnic tables, both with shade. The folding chairs are pretty nice. We enjoyed the river, the outdoor shower. We had the whole place to ourselves so it was pretty great. I would definitely go back again.

We truly appreciated your kindness and warm hospitality throughout our visit.
We had the chance to camp on both sites, A and B. The first is spacious, while the second is more intimate, offering shade and the soothing presence of the nearby river.
Although there are two roads nearby, we can assure you that peace and quiet prevail. You'll enjoy deep, restful sleep.
We highly recommend the experience at Nelson’s. It’s rare to find a campsite with such a high level of quality !

This is a beautiful campsite. It looks like it would great for families. The host is fantastic and very accommodating. My dogs loved the stream next to the site an they had lots of space to run around. I liked the hot water shower. plenty of restaurants withing 10 min drive. I just wish i didn't have to leave early. I am really going to book again next summer.

WOA! This spot is incredible. Absolutely beautiful meadow along a river with rolling hills in the background. Well maintained grass to camp on. Awesome swings, chairs, fire-rings, and covered tables. The shower felt amazing. It was so nice the kids thought we were glamping. Really great river right along it that is very shallow and easy to walk through for the most part but gets deep enough in some areas to swim if you'd like. Very quiet and we had the site to ourselves. We liked it so much we almost canceled the rest of our trip to stay longer! We'll definitely be back again in the future, this time for longer!

Had a great time at Nelson’s place, a group of friends and I booked both campsite A and B, super secluded spot with amazing views all around and great access to the river. Nelson was super responsive during my whole stay and was a great host all around. The outdoor shower was great to have and also having wood onsite that we could buy was a great perk. 10/10 would definitely recommend!

Our recent stay at this charming spot in VT on the White River, was incredibly relaxing and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The location is simply beautiful – nestled in an open field of grass and wild flowers, and surrounded by trees, and mountain views, and steps from the White River, it’s the perfect place to disconnect and unwind.
One of the highlights of the trip was lazily drifting down the white river, the complimentary tubes were a perfect touch. The gentle current made for a relaxing and scenic ride, with views of the surrounding trees and mountains. It’s a must-do activity if you’re staying here, especially on a warm day!
After a day of camping, the warm outdoor shower was just what I needed. There's something so refreshing about showering under the open sky – it added an unexpected touch of luxury to the camping experience.
The hosts were incredibly welcoming and thoughtful, ensuring we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Whether you’re a seasoned camper or trying it out for the first time, this spot is a true hidden gem. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to enjoy Vermont’s natural beauty with a few relaxing perks thrown in!

The site was very beautiful, and well cared for. The fire pit (with the grill) the shade structure and the hammocks made it so easy for our family of 6. Plus, the tubes were SO fun, we had an amazing time floating down the river. The host was also very kind and responsive. However, I was not expecting this campsite to be so close to not one, but 2 roads. Basically, sandwiched between two roads, and seemingly near a quarry because there were very loud tractors and dump trucks driving by regularly. This was a major bummer for me. When I go camping I do not want to hear traffic. ALSO, the directions did not lead us to the driveway. We had to call the host @ 10pm ( luckily he picked up) and we had to drive down the road to get service. SO the directions and marking of the driveway need to be improved.

We had such a great experience here at Nelson's! He is making this land into a true paradise for his grandchildren and family, but he shares it with you! Nelson was extremely helpful, providing us with wood and water and all kind of help. The campsite is really nice, there is a river you can float on with the tubes he has for you. It is very nice and well maintained, with beautiul furniture, games you can play, a fire pit, a tent to sit dry under and a real nice open air hot shower, everything looking so cosy. There are 2 campsites, far away from each other. and beautifully lid with lights. We could only stay 1 night but would have loved to be there longer. Thank you Nelson for your hospitality!

This site is utterly enchanting. A small haven nestled among mountains beside a charming river. Very bucolic. Additionally, Nelson and his wife have added numerous thoughtful touches typically found in inns, as well as a variety of equipment for activities and games. We were two couples who reserved sites A and B. The outdoor shower was particularly appreciated. Nelson is an outstanding host who ensured our stay was remarkable. Thank you!

We stayed on campsite b in our 16ft camper. The grounds were well maintained, beautiful and the scenery was gorgeous! I loved everything down to the adorable little touches everywhere. The outdoor shower was lovely, the bathroom was clean, there was bug spray, a gift basket and so many other things. They provided river tubes and we used them on the creek. I hope we can come back!

My dog and I camped at Dome @ Meadows for two nights and had the best time. I loved having access to an outdoor shower and restroom, the amenities at this campsite make for a very comfortable stay. The meadow is stunning and my dog loved walking the path around it. There was also plenty of room for fetch. If you are a fan of Noah Kahan, this campsite is very close to Strafford, VT for some exploring. There is also plenty of nearby hiking. I highly recommend stopping at the Tunbridge General Store as well during your stay, they have delicious sandwiches there and other goods. Nelson was a very communicative and friendly host. We hope to be back again soon, thank you for hosting us!
