Nice and quiet and clean, water pressure is awesome. Don’t know that I would stay mid summer as there are no trees. Otherwise it was a nice spot away from the crowds of Moab.

Excellent camp site very low profile very simplistic but elegant at the same time. I really enjoyed my stay and was surprised by this Campground would recommend it to anyone coming through the Moab Utah area

Great communication from host. I really enjoyed the solitude — I was able to off-road in Moab each day and then enjoy a peaceful camp to unwind.
Wi-Fi was a nice bonus as there wasn’t much of a signal for me (Verizon).

This site is Exceptional !!!!! Very Clean and although it might not seem like it on the drive in - very secluded with gorgeous views of the La Sal Mountains. We turned left onto Pearl street when we should have gone straight into the ranch - there is a “Hipcamp” sign - so make sure to look for that! Best overnight spot for us yet! Highly Recommend!!!

Comfortable and safe place for an overnight in my 20-foot van about 30 minutes south of Moab. The electric hookup was great as a big storm front had made it difficult to recharge with solar. The pit toilet was clean and well lit during the night.

This place is so very magical. The host was so very kind and helpful. His place was better than a lot of campgrounds we paid way more money to stay at. Very private and the scenery was amazing. From sunrise to sunset the views changed daily. We will be back when we come this way again and will stay longer. :)

What a gem!
I stayed for two weeks and could have stayed longer. I will admit I was spoiled and there was only one other camper there in site 4 until my last night so it was like I had the entire place to myself.
The site is huge and well maintained with all the amenities you could ask for. Water, electric, and grey waste all worked perfectly. It was also nice to have the outhouse if needed. The views of the La Sals were lovely to wake up too along with the gorgeous sunsets and the coyote howls.
Because I’m a full time remote worker I always like to give a review on service. Starlink speeds were exceptional and I held huge conference calls with cameras on with no problems. My AT&T hotspot could hold internet but not video calls, my T-Mobile didn’t work (I knew this in advance). The property has internet which I used as a backup. It was surprisingly fast and stable for the remoteness of the property.
There were great roads to run and walk my dog on daily and super close to BLM land and of course all that Moab has to offer.
Stephen the host was exceptional and incredibly kind. We can’t wait to come back!

We loved staying at Stephen’s place. It’s obvious he’s thought about the camper’s experience and has provided a really great setup, whether you’re tenting it or in an RV. We were in a roof top tent at Site 3 and the only campers besides one other. It might be a little different had the other two sites been occupied, but there is plenty of space at each site and each is outfitted with sun shade, picnic table, portable fire pit and potable water, and hook-ups for those who need it. The toilet was very clean and convenient but situated for privacy. The best part of all were the views. Stunning in almost all directions. We had a great experience and would highly recommend.

Stephen was a great host and introduced himself when I arrived. The site was well maintained as well as the bathroom. Having access to WiFi was super helpful. All the instructions were clear and I had no issues finding the site. My time on the property was exactly as advertised!

We had a great time camping on Stephen’s land! East to find thanks to Stephen’s directions. Quiet (if you listen you can hear the coyotes and birds)! Also very remote, but the wifi provided was definitely a plus! Clean bathroom facility. We couldn’t have a campfire due to the burn ban in effect because of wildfires close by, but we didn’t notice any smoke or haze at the site, and it was hot enough without one!

I really enjoyed my stay at Site 3. The mountain views were beautiful, and the night skies were incredible—perfect for stargazing. The site felt peaceful, private, and very safe, with plenty of space between campsites. Everything was extremely clean and clearly well cared for.
Stephen was great with communication—he made it easy to find the site and provided all the info I needed before arriving. The picnic table with a shade cover and the fire pit made the setup super comfortable. It’s also very convenient to Moab if you want to head into town for dinner after a full day exploring the nearby national parks.
It was also really convenient to have strong Wi-Fi, easy water access, and a garbage can right at the site—little things that make a big difference when you’re camping. This Hipcamp is definitely a gem, and I’ll be back again later in the season!

Once again, we returned to La Sal to stay at this camp. It exceeds our expectations every time with the cleanliness, privacy, and hospitality from our host. I would I recommend the campsite to everyone who wants to enjoy STUNNING sunsets and sunrises and privacy. Withing reasonable distance to Arches, Moab, Hole in the rock, and canyon lands. Can’t recommend this place enough!

We loved the quiet and that the camp site was 10-15 degrees cooler than Arches and Moab. Very nice people. Clean toilet facilities. Site 4 was a bit of a walk to the toilet, but otherwise a great experience.

Stars were amazing and not like a crowded campsite. Only 4 sites so we felt like we had the place to ourselves. Don’t miss Wilson’s arch. We went over for sunset because it’s the closest one for sunset. We sat up there and mostly had it to ourselves too. It was our last night in the area and did not want to do another hour drive into one of the parks. Also, the dog could go to that one.

Stephen’s place is very nicely tucked away, so although there is a town nearby, you feel you are well isolated. The camp spot itself is very spacious and has everything one needs. It is about 35 minutes from Moab and 45 minutes from Arches National Park. Stephen is an absolutely wonderful host, and we really enjoyed meeting him. We strongly recommend this site.

My friend and I stayed 5 nights at La Sal South-40. It was our alternative to Dead Horse State Park when we couldn't get in. We were so happy we couldn't get a spot there because we would have missed this gem. It is so quiet and peaceful. Nothing but birdsong, sage and blue sky. Steve is an excellent host. We had everything we needed. We will definitely stay at La Sal South-40 if we are in the area again. Thanks Steve!

The views from Stephen's land were beautiful! I also appreciated the extras like drinking water, picnic table, and tarp to block out the afternoon sun. The place was easy to find, close enough to Moab (about 30 minutes) but away from its hustle and bustle. It was perfect for exploring Arches, both entries of Canyonlands, the La Sal Mountains and abundance of other parks in the area. The site and toilet were both clean and well maintained. Stephen was a very attentive and communicative host. Would definitely stay here again if I am in the area.
