We recently spent a night glamping near Bryce Canyon and unfortunately, it was not the ‘glamping’ experience I was hoping for. The tent we stayed in had a broken zipper, which made it difficult to close properly and keep out bugs. During the night the second zipper broke so it was really cold (and we had an LOT of bugs)… Additionally, the bed was not placed in an ideal location within the tent, making it a bit cramped.
While the overall concept of glamping is supposed to offer a more upscale camping experience, I found the price we paid to be quite high considering the issues we encountered. We stayed at glampings before, this isn’t it. It’s a tent with a bed. Which is fine! But if you’re looking for a more upscale experience (which you would expect considering the price) you’d have to look further.
Our experience was so disappointing that we didn’t stay for a second night (although we did pay for it)…
Despite these drawbacks, the location near Bryce Canyon was beautiful and convenient.

The host canceled my reservation less than 30 hours before my visit, which was scheduled months ago. My partner and I drove from Oregon and were left without a place to stay and no available alternative places to stay on such short notice. The HIPCAMP location stated they would provide a refund; it has now been 15 days, and I have not received a refund. I had a negative experience and would advise fellow HIPCAMP-ers to take caution on this site and when communicating with the host

Had a great time at wonder camp! The tents did get hot during the day, but still had a great time. The host was very nice and accommodating!

The zippers were the main concerns. Having them break made ingress and egress a bit of a hassle when they broke.
Other than this, a lower hanging ceiling is the other concern.
Rest assured, the tent stayed strong during high winds one of our nights, so it’s evident the tent has a great foundation.

This place is a complete scam. We booked our reservation a week in advance and when we showed up, the camp manager said our tent didn’t even exist! In fact, this place is so unorganized, they booked multiple people for tents they don’t actually have. It’s out in the middle of nowhere and the actual owners are not reachable. Cleanliness is questionable. Don’t come here!

I hate writing bad reviews, especially for such a cute place, but it wasn’t a very pleasant experience for my boyfriend and I.
First, we booked this place after a week of “traditional” camping because of the shower. AFTER we booked, we were told the showers were not working/cold water only. Second, when we arrived in camp around 9 pm (it was very dark out and some of the floor lanterns weren’t working- lots of places to fall in and seriously hurt yourself) and there wasn’t any sort of map to indicate where our tent was. We walked around for a bit and found it. The teepee was cute, clean, and comfortable, however, the door zippers were broken. The host was very kind in letting us know that we could contact them whenever , however, there is no service or wifi on the camp grounds, so we had no way of getting help. We ended up having to go tent to tent trying to figure out if there was an empty one so we didn’t freeze to death. I will say, we woke up at 3 am to look at the stars and they were INCREDIBLE. Almost made the whole ordeal worth it.
We saw the camp ground in the morning- it was really cute and I see the charm. I am sincerely hoping this was just because they had just started out their season, but I don’t think the confusion was worth the money spent.

If you love tent camping but can’t bring your gear to Bryce Canyon, this is a great option. We were doing a mix of tent camping, glamp, and motels depending on weather and night temperature during our road trip through Utah. It rained both nights we were at Bryce, so I was thankful we booked sturdier accommodation while still able to enjoy the outdoors. Beautiful location and amazing views right outside your tent. But if you’re expecting hotel accommodations, you will be sad. This glamping site leans more towards upgraded camping rather than glam.
The beds were super comfortable, the camp host were incredibly helpful and friendly, and it’s just 20 min from Bryce Canyon. There is a shallow creek to drive over to get to the site, but our Mazda 3 hatchback were able to handle it without any issue even with a weekend of heavy rain.
Verizon had reception all throughout and T-Mobile had reception 80% of the site.

Wander Camp Bryce Twin Tent
I will definitely book another wander camp experience. Host was very nice, and the booking people were very responsive. I would recommend bringing your own shade if you plan to spend time in camp. I got great Milky Way pics also!

I really wanted to like this hipcamp. After driving 9 hours to get to Bryce Canyon, we were notified at 3pm (check in time) that the roads were washed out/potentially going to be washed out due to rain and were unsafe, so our stay was canceled (they offered a refund or reschedule) . Because we arrived without a tent, we had to book a motel for the weekend - luckily some reasonable ones were still available. Unfortunately, after a week of no response from Wander Camp (could not get in touch by text or phone call), we filed a chargeback. Disappointed with the lack of communication regarding the refund and that they waited until check in time to cancel when rain had been forecasted for a few days - but at least it shows they are diligent about hip campers’ safety I suppose. Bring a back up tent if you book this site so you can still camp elsewhere if the road gets washed out.

Unfortunately we did not have a great experience given the cost of staying. The extreme heat of the location makes the tents completely unusable from 8am to 8pm, the gnats swarm you if you try to get up early to make a cup of coffee and beat the heat, the showers hot water is borderline scalding and can easily burn and the bed had a pretty extreme slope to the middle making it uncomfortable for two people. My fiancé and I have been sleeping in my van for a few weeks and can honestly say it was more comfortable and a fraction of the cost. Ended up leaving a day earlier than our reservation as we couldnt take it anymore.

Nice views, helpful staff, lovely tent, cozy bedding, easy to find, friendly couples around the campfire, warm (limited) water, clean bathrooms (some repairs needed in shower rooms). Would definitely stay again!

awesome campsite. Ashley the host was so friendly! the bed in the tent was so comfortable and nice comforters. Hot Shower nice clean toilet.
We stayed at 11, the only down side was the zipper were broken, not big deal.

Beautiful spot close to several nice hikes (slot canyons, Bryce Canyon National Park). Tent and bed were clean and comfy, and they did a nice job with the scarce water resources (shower, toilet, sink).

This was our last stop on our 5 day UTAH Mighty 5 Roadtrip (my girlfriend and I coming from WI and GA).
Great place, looks just like the pictures. Not too far from Bryce downtown area if you needed something, the actual camp was a little close to the road (but you couldn't hear the cars).
Camp host (Gaven?) was wonderful upon check in and helping throughout. Lights were provided for navigating in the dark, inside of the yurts were extremely clean and homey feeling, beds felt like temperpedic! We were able to donate our unused supplies to the camp. Hot water in the showers (they were a string pull system though which made it slightly more difficult but not the worst). Some of the firepits' ash build up could've been shoveled out, but wasn't the worst.
Would definitely recommend! You get your money's worth!

Absolutely beautiful campground under the stars! Really appreciated the greeting from the on-site camp supervisor and the clear directions online as the reception does get spotty. Accommodations were very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay immensely

The tent kept us warm inside when the temperature outside was 38. The bed was comfortable but we had to use extra blankets since the site didn't have any heaters for rent as we were informed the heaters had been removed to another location.
When we arrived, the showers did not have hot water. We were told that a critter had damaged the hot water system, in our two day stay there during the week, the hot water system had not been repaired.
There is a creek that is not very big that one must drive over to get to the camp. Most people staying at the site, could not drive over it in a normal car so you may have to walk about 200 yards to the site and carry whatever you will need during your stay.

Hostel Style Camping—Not Glamping
When booking this I didn’t realize it was a hostel for camping… it states dispersed camping, but we were able to hear our neighbor tent clear as day from inside ours. This wouldn’t have been a problem if the girls in the other tent abided by the quiet hours, however they were very loud until 3am. Quiet hours were not strictly enforced as it states. There was no staff on site at all during our stay to enforce anything for that matter.
The tent itself wasn’t so bad—the bed was comfy and we stayed warm without the space heater that you can rent. I wouldn’t recommend showering unless you enjoy frigid showers. It would have been a better experience if there was more outside tables and fire pits. There’s only a handful for all 25 tents to share; however, once someone got to one, there was no sharing since there’s no room. Overall, was okay for a night, but would rather stay in my own tent at an actual campground.

Cancelled because of flooding
I was super excited to stay at Wander Camp. Unfortunately, I received an email around noon the day of my booking that the camp was closed. I called the camp and was told it had been flooded from rain the night prior. I was then left scrambling to find a place to stay with my husband and toddler. I asked the camp about a refund and was told I needed to go through Hipcamp. I’m still waiting to be refunded.

Comfy beds, with excellent proximity to Bryce park entrance. The hosts were both very friendly and helpful. Quick to communicate and offered plenty of great local hikes/spots to check out. The tent was clean and well set up for our arrival. This was our first glamming trip and the hosts made it an excellent experience. Highly recommend— will be back!

We drove all day as we were coming from Los Angeles. Our hosts texted us to check in that morning while we were on our way - which was great. They texted us again mid afternoon to let us know that due to the rain there was a shuttle running and to park up top and wait when we arrived - also great.
We arrived just before dark (~8pm), got unloaded and got our dog ready to be transported down to camp. The shuttle came up after about 10 minutes.
When the shuttle person drove up she informed us that camp was closed to all new check ins due to a bathroom issue and the general amount of mud.
She told us there were rooms back in town. We asked if there were any places back in town that had availability for dogs and she said there were three.
She then loaded up a couple that had already stayed the night before and brought them down. Upon her leaving another family pulled in to check in and we were the ones to inform them they did not have a place to stay.
Once we got back to town we confirmed there was no vacancy anywhere. We were forced to drive to another town and another. 2 hours later we found a place. This was just before 11pm.
I can appreciate the situation at Wander causing them issue - but the lack of consideration and the fact that they didn’t bother to give us a heads up any earlier or call in to town to check avails since they were literally turning people away confirms I’ll never come back.

Wander Camp at Bryce Canyon was a wonderful experience. The yurts were clean, spacious and had exactly what we needed for the night. The beds & bedding were extremely plush & comfortable, exceeded my expectations. The communal fire pit was a great space for us to meet some new friends and make s’mores. The showers & bathroom were clean & had hot water. The views were incredible. About 10 min up the road are some restaurants, coffee shop and a general store. I wish we were able to stay more then one night. I’ll be back for sure.
