Private, safe and very clean. The view from our tent/shelter was a 10+, private river access and friendly ppl. I loved this place and hope we can get back in before summer is over!

Couldn't have asked for a better river campsite. We stayed at the three trees campsite. No electricity or water at this specific site. but well within walking distance of community bathrooms and showers. A nice short easy walk away from the river. We will definitely be coming back very soon!

We stayed here 3 nights in July 2013 in our hybrid travel trailer. The campground was clean and free of trash/litter. Sites seemed fairly spacious, most were shaded and all were a very short walk to the river or the restroom. They are on a great little bend of the river, with both shallows and deep water in very close proximity. Campground is directly across from Garner State Park, so the river did get a little crowded in the afternoons. A little disappointed that the restrooms only had 2 shower stalls and these were a little spartan and run down. We had to wait in line for a shower at peak evening hours. But I loved that Mager's will let you have up to 6 people per campsite without any additional charge. Other campgrounds in the vicinity charge $3-5 extra per person over 2 people, which is ridiculous. We would definantly stay here again. Gave it 4 stars, would have been 5 if the restrooms had been bigger and updated.

We have been camping at Magers River Camp for the last 8 years and then again this past year after the new owners change to Zubers. The park is still ran as a family park and the new owners are continuing the family atmosphere. We will continue to stay at Zubers and can't wait till June when we get to return.

Best Park on the Frio!!Rv sites are level and spacious, have full hookups and the wifi works perfectly for streaming Football, movies or working. Park is great for families, kids have plenty of space to ride bikes safely, Pets are more than welcome as well. Location is perfect, located directly across the river from Garner State Park it's a short walk to hike baldy. The owners are amazing and have really made this place one of favorite places to stay in Texas. I have and will continue to recommended this place to everyone I meet!!
Love this place! The property is privately owned so it allows you to avoid the crowd of Gardener State Park!
Absolutely love Magers!!! Came here when I was a kid and now have been twice as an adult! Absolutely love it !! All the staff super nice! Very clean cabins and grounds !! Love the blue hole area for sitting in the water !! We will definitely be back !!

We've stayed at a few rv parks on the Frio, Zubers is by far the nicest property. The sites are spacious with lots of large trees in and around the park. River access is awesome with a large stretch of private river Beach front.The owner Clint is very friendly as well. I highly recommend

Best campground we’ve stayed at on the Frio. Nice space between the sites and right across the river from Garner (there are stepping stones to get across if you have passes to Garner). The whole family loved it and we’ll be back next year!

ABSOLUTELY will not go to the Frio again to any other location than this. The people who operate this campground are outstanding and very kind. We had some issues with one of our family members who were going to join us, but broke down in San Antonio and the folks at Zuber's were super understanding and helpful way above and beyond what they needed to do. Thank you guys. As constant/regular campers - we have only been there twice and they have earned our return business for a LONG time to come.
This camp is awesome. We had a tent camping spot this past weekend. The staff is awesome. It’s a well kept place. They have ice on site which was a big help. This is definitely an every year trip for us from now on.
On another note. If you plan to float by yourself without a shuttle it’s completely doable from here. Just don’t park your car at the seven bluff crossing like we did. It was entirely wayyyy too long. Park at second crossing and go back to camp and jump in.

My family and I rented two cabins for the weekend at Zubers and we HIGHLY recommend! The staff was courteous and accommodating, the cabins were clean and comfortable, and the river was beautiful! The cabins we stayed in each had full size refrigerator, stove, coffee pot, and microwave. Outside we had a nice covered patio area with a ceiling fan and fire pit. The camp is pet friendly and WiFi was also available. We lacked nothing! :)
We had so much fun at ZUBERS RIVER CAMP and we will definitely return soon!
Loved it! When planning this trip everything nearby was fully reserved for our dates, but not Magers Ricer Camp! I wasn’t expecting much, but it was beautiful!
There wasn’t a crazy amount of people, even if there were there was a good amount of space between each site.
It was peaceful, clean, and the owner was so nice!
(One if the previous comments says there isn’t tent spots available, but there is, they come with a screened in shelter.)
Definitely returning soon!

My family spent last weekend in one of the tent sites. The camp area is clean, well spaced, and in all ways excellent. As rustic as it inherently is, the Men's bathroom was clean and actually smelled good!! Both staff members that I interacted with were super helpful and friendly. I would recommend Zuber's River Camp to anyone wanting to experience the Frio River and Garner State Park. Thanks to staff for running an excellent business that is as nice as (even better than) the website conveys.

We had a great time at Zubers... This was our first trip with an RV, and they were more than helpful. Great river access that you can practically drive to. You are also right by Garner State Park. If you don't mind getting a little wet, you can walk across the river, and get into the park. There are stones to walk across.
We had a great time. The cabin was beautiful. Met our needs. The river area was very accessible. The grounds were very nice. We are already planning another stay.

We had a great time and jumped in the water at least twice a day. We can’t wait to go back. We stayed in our RV and always like to use the facilities on site for showers and laundry when camping. I would have given 5 stars if the showers were nicer. I really would like a laundry room for long stays. The new manager is cool and polite. A can’t think of anything else negative to say about the place. I will add the river access was nicer than some of the other places we’ve stayed. I would also say I think there’s plenty of space between sites.
