We proudly welcome families and adventurers from Central Texas and beyond—including New Braunfels, Kyle, Buda, and Lockhart—and invite you to discover your next favorite outdoor destination.
Nestled just off I-35 and only 5 miles from San Marcos, ZTX Ranch invites you to awaken beside the serene San Marcos River. Guests are welcome to stay in our well-appointed glamping tents, or bring their own tents or RVs!
With access to six modern restrooms and showers, a cozy riverside fire pit, and direct river frontage, you’ll enjoy effortless convenience combined with nature’s beauty. Ideal for family getaways or solo escapes—camp your way, your style.🏕 ZTX Ranch — Raw Riverfront Camping on the San Marcos River
Welcome to ZTX Ranch, a brand-new riverfront escape on one of the most beautiful stretches of the San Marcos River. We’re just opening our gates to campers, RVers, and glampers — and if you love peaceful nature, riverside access, campfires, and raw Texas beauty, this might be your new favorite spot.
ZTX is currently in its early stages, which means you’ll get a rugged, unpolished experience — no concrete pads, no polished glamping tents yet — but what we do offer is the real deal: ✨ Direct river access, 🔥 Established fire pits, 🚽 Working bathrooms and showers, and 🌳 Lots of space to spread out and relax.
🏞 The Land & River Access
We’re located right on the San Marcos River with direct access to some of the clearest, most pristine water in the area. Whether you're floating, swimming, or just laying back with a chair in the shallows, this is what it’s all about.
Campers will be set up downhill near the river, with plenty of room to space out and choose your favorite spot. Roads are raw ranch roads — accessible by most vehicles but 4WD is recommended during or after rain.
🚻 Restrooms & Amenities (Upper Land)
While the camping areas are natural and rugged, we’ve built a solid restroom/shower facility up above the river area, near the entrance:
Women’s side: 5 toilets + 1 private indoor shower
Men’s side: 3 toilets + classic urinal trough
Outdoor shower (shared, co-ed friendly)
Nearby fire pit for evening hangouts
Everything’s clean, functional, and rustic — don’t expect spa finishes just yet. This is camping in its rawest form, with just enough comfort to make it easy.
🔥 Fire Pits & BBQ Grills
We’ve set up dedicated fire pits and BBQ grill areas, perfect for late-night hangs, s’mores, or cooking breakfast with a view. Wood bundles may be available on-site for purchase (ask ahead!).
