This campsite was absolutely beautiful. The night sky was full of stars, and the site itself felt very private and spacious. Everything was ready for us when we arrived; the compost toilet was clean and freshly prepared, and the land looked recently maintained. You can tell the host really cares about the space. I would definitely stay here again.

Stayed at site 2 (Stargazer) -- plenty of room for my 4Runner, easy in and out. I was by myself, but there's ample room for several tents, easily, if you're in a group. As the name suggests, the view of the stars in this spot is awesome. Wimberley is a verified Dark Sky Community, meaning there is little light pollution, so you'll notice a mammoth difference in what you can see compared to a city environment. Directions were easy to follow (just make sure you go in the correct gate; there are two at the spot where GPS leads you. It's the one on your left). The site was completely free of any trash or other debris; if it wasn't for the fire ring you wouldn't necessarily think it was a campsite that a lot of people use day in and day out (which is a good thing). Kudos to the owners for designing it and maintaining it so well. Speaking of which, I got the chance to meet Bud when he happened to drive by on the way to his house elsewhere on the property. Great guy, talked at length with me about the land and gave some advice and ideas for exploring. Very nice of him. Site 1 is fairly close by, but not so close that you can see it from where you are. You would definitely hear your neighbors if they're noisy/rowdy but the guys that pulled into Site 1 on my second night were not like that at all. I can't recommend this place enough, and I'll definitely be back.
P.S. Look for the bear -- he's pretty tame and will even let you take a selfie with him. ;)

I loved that this was a very private spot. There was no one around. A great amount of shade. There was plenty of room for other tent if you were in a group. Easily fit 4 tents and still have room. Overall really great spot and is now on my favorites list for sure.

Private, quiet, & easy to access spot with great amenities. There was a burn ban so I didn't use the fire ring, but the setup was great! The host, Bud was very responsive & welcoming. I enjoyed listening to the soft rain on the van roof while I read my book. Just the retreat I needed to reset. Would stay here again!

Everything was set up and ready exactly as advertised. I was the only person camping at the time and it was very private. Excellent site for primitive camping. There was a burn ban in effect and they even furnished a propane fire pit so I could still have a fire, and the fresh eggs were great for breakfast. I highly recommend a stay here.

Had a great time and the campsite was great. Very quiet and nice to have the place to yourself. Camped at site 2, and the sky was amazing. Highly recommend and will be back again!

Relaxing clean and quiet camping sights. The Cardinals and Bluejay birds .sang and danced through the trees for us. It was secluded and very dark at night and the stars were definitely big and bright. There was a local burn ban in effect so no campfire, understandably. It was so naturally peaceful we decided to stay an extra night. There was a lot of Prickly Pear cactus around, we had no problems but someone with children or dogs could easily get into. It was only a short drive into town so we explored Wimberlys shops and restaurants, climbed old Baldy, visited Jacobs Well and hiked the Canyon Lake Gorge. Overall it was a perfect getaway.

We had such a great time at positive times! The host, Gary, was timely with communication and very helpful.
They have a cozy little spot where the stars are so clear. We even saw a pair of CaraCara while we were there.
Highly recommend for a fun, one night getaway.

Great private site a short drive from Austin. There is one other site in the property but no one was staying there while we were. Directions were clear and the provided fire ring was great! One of the most private feeling sites I've found near Austin. You can hear some cars but not a busy road and not too loud. There was plenty of shade and trees to hang the hammock. We only had one small tent but there was plenty of space for a group. Highly recommend!

Fantastic spot for a weekend getaway. Close enough to necessities (if needed) and far away enough to unplug from the hustle and bustle. Took my 18ft teardrop trailer out there and everything fit perfectly with plenty of privacy from the other campsite.

Site 1 was relaxing and very comfortable for my husband and I. They say you can do up to 2 cars / 8 people, and that would totally work. We arrived after dark, so we had a little difficulty finding the gate, but the host responded quickly and helped us find it right away. We were even able to get some farm fresh eggs delivered to our site, first thing in the morning. It was a clear night, so we were able to view the stars really well. The area with the campfire has tree cover with a hole in the middle for stargazing, but towards the entry where you pull into site 1, the sky is so clear, so you could take your chairs out there and relax and look up if you wanted a completely clear view of the sky. We did have some neighbors at site 2. We could see their campfire some, but they were still far enough away that it wasn't any kind of inconvenience. We could also hear them talking if we were completely quiet, but again, not bad. The site is also somewhat near to the road, so you can hear cars drive by, but its not a busy road at all. We got there around 8:30pm and only heard 4 or 5 cars drive by. Overall it was a really great stay, and I plan on coming back with my sister and her family. We want to try site 2 next time, but if it's not available, will totally book site 1 again. Also, on our way out, we drove through Wimberley Square and it looks like a great place to visit if you're planning on staying a couple of days.

I stay here for one night, the site are very clean and open, you can actually see the stars on a clear night.
The host was very welcoming , he makes sure that if I ever need anything, he’s only a short distance away.
Definitely will try to come back again.

Positive Times is a beautiful, secluded spot with a fire pit and plenty of firewood around. The host is very friendly, making sure I had the right directions to find the place and made me feel welcome.

Perfect. Last minute change on plans and needed a place on Christmas Day. I loved how private it was and behind a gate. Beautiful place and I will definitely stay there again.

Peaceful and private! There's campsites in grassy meadows and others tucked in the woods. The sunset from the hill is incredible!

Tucked away in the hill country, this beautiful spot provided the tranquility needed after a busy week. With it's own gated entrance and privacy from neighbors you can enjoy the sounds of nature and watch the stars at night. Bud was a gracious host and contacted me ahead of time to ensure I could find the property and even left some farm fresh eggs for me. I will most definitely be back.
