Upon arrival it was easy to get to, very open nice view and would recommend anyone to go and try it out it’s definitely good for a weekend getaway and was only 30 mins away from home.

Host is very responsive. Love that the site looks exactly like the pics. It was very private. While it does get a lot quieter during the night hours..you can hear the highway traffic in the distance ..There was also a train that came through on both days .Didn’t see a whole lot of wildlife but that could be good depending on the person. Fishing was awesome…My wife and I both caught the most we have ever caught in a day..Every other cast it was” Fish on”..That was a lot of fun! With all that being said it’s still a good place to camp not too far from the city. I would camp here again and would also recommend

Ease of getting there. James answered all my MANY questions and never got annoyed and was prompt. Clean, peaceful. Fishing was a blast.
Great spot. Would recommend grabbing both spots for lots of space.
Pond is awesome. Our Lab loved swimming and the fishing is good. Plenty of bass and bluegill.
James was very responsive to all questions.
If you need to re-supply, there is a 24-hr Exxon <5 minutes away. Don’t even have to go back into town.
The boat and dock were added extras.

Such a great place! Our family loved this quick little getaway. The pond was stocked with fish which made fishing fun for the whole family! We rented both sites and they were perfect!

Great stay would definitely go again. Lake is so much fun and the deck is really cool our dogs had a great time. I would recommend renting both spots because I personally wouldn’t want to share but if that’s your thing haha!

We rented out both sites for a night in our way to Arkansas and it was an amazing time. I would drive the 5 hours to get here and do it again. Our dogs had a blast running for the ball and getting in the pond. The host warned us rain made the field muddy so we definitely needed our truck to get out there only because of that but the field wasn’t too bad to hang out in when we got down to the water. 10/10 recommend.
Beautiful Place to Camp, we appreciate the privacy. Not for away from main highway but still feel very natural. We can see the sky night very well. Clean and feel safe.

It felt very secluded. The pond was nice. A few very large potholes made it a bit difficult with our big rv but the site was pretty level.

First time using Hipcamp! And James made it a breeze. His place is nicely tucked away in the outskirts of Greenville. Quiet little pond. We utilized the row boat and the dock. My kids love fishing there and definitely will be back.

We had a wonderful camping experience. There were 2 well spaced very private sites, a pond stocked with fish that kids loved to play in and a rowboat.
We were a couple without children that really enjoyed watching the kids in the other campsite play on the dock and in the boat, they were having a blast! ( The other family may have brought the oars for the boat, I'm not sure)
Very quiet and huge space between the two sites. Our cats enjoyed sitting outdoors as there was nothing to disturb them. Watched the solar eclipse from this site and it was fantastic, got dark, very quiet until the frogs started to croak loudly. What an experience, couldn't have picked a better place for this.
The owner came over to view the eclipse, so respectful and easy to deal with. He responded quickly to our questions.
If you have friends and family book both sites and have the whole place to yourselves.
Hey Dallas (50 miles) and Fort Worth (80 miles) bring your children or not and enjoy a week or so in an absolutely fabulous spot. Would definitely come back.

Wow! What a fabulous spot! We had a family reunion here for the Solar Eclipse. We all really enjoyed swimming in the pond, rowing the boat and fishing. Very peaceful, beautiful and private. James mowed the campsites for us & there was a fire ring (provide your own wood or gather deadfall off the property) and the dock was huge! The location was easy to find & close proximity to town & shopping. Communication with James was immediate. Highly recommend this place and would stay here in the future!
This was an amazing secluded campsite that made you truly feel the beauty of Texas. We even caught a small bass in the pond! We will definitely be back soon

This site was easy to get to from Dallas and felt removed. However, there was some trash scattered around the site, and you could hear the highway pretty clearly in the background. As a result, it didn't feel like as much of a peaceful nature spot as I had hoped. Otherwise, the directions, communication, access, and other descriptions were accurate and it was a solid spot.
