. These are unique camping spots along the Guadalupe River. I didn’t exactly understand how unique until I started getting feedback from my campers. The surrounding scenery will lower your blood pressure and do wonders to let you reconnect with nature. Sit back and close your eyes late in the evening and listen to all the wildlife talking to each other. There is faint traffic noise from 90A about a 1/3 of a mile away but it calms down after 7 or so. Currently no amenities but I am in the plans for some portable bathrooms. Please be prepared to cover all your bathroom and cooking needs. I do have some good clean well water from a faucet on the way into the campgrounds. Campfires are permitted. There is a convenience store (Diamond A) with clean bathrooms and a great bbq just 5 miles to the west on 90A and a Walmart and HEB 10 miles to the east on 90A. (Both Diamond A and Walmart sell fishing licenses if you need one. Dogs are allowed at sites 3 and 4 but not at 1 or 2 where my livestock guardian dogs have access to. No matter the size or temperament of your pets you are always expected to have them under your control at ALL times. I have very small livestock in the area frequently I am almost always on the property and try to have my phone with me while campers are on site, just let me know what you need and I will do what I can to accommodate you. Secluded Guadalupe Riverside. Beautiful gentle sloping river front beach area. Dogs are welcome but please let me know ahead of time details of your dogs and be able to keep them under your control at all times. There may be small livestock in thee area that are vulnerable to high energy dogs. Currently there is a small bbq pit for campers to use on the site and a seperate above ground fire pit. Great catfish fishing. I have several kayaks and Jon boats available on the property. Please bring your own life jackets if you have them, but I do have a selection of life jacket sizes. Firewood is available for $15 for mixed wood, pecan, sycamore and chinaberry, and $20 for just split pecan wood. You are welcome to bring your own if you already have some.

Secluded stretch of the Guadalupe river. A beautiful Pecan grove river bottom. This site is the largest on the property and can accommodate large groups. You will be sharing the area with the sheep and goats which may roam by. I have 2 metal chairs and a fire pit with grill at the site. I do have 3 other campsites on property but they are mostly out of sight. I have several kayaks and Jon boats available on the property. Please bring your own life jackets if you have them. Firewood is available for $15 for mixed wood, pecan sycamore, and chinaberry, and $20 for just split pecan wood.

This site is right along the river, with convenient foot access down to water, but too steep for larger boats. There is a launching area a couple hundred yards away. There is plenty of space to accommodate large groups and much of the campsite is under a shady pecan canopy. I have several kayaks and Jon boats available on the property. This site is large and has place of space for large groups and multiple vehicles.This is the only site that has electric hook up. (30 amp). ($15 a night for electric hookup) It is right on the river, offering great views, but above a steep bank where access isn't very easy. The site is only a few hundred yards away from a beach area where boats are available to launch. There are usually campers close by these areas so not meant for hanging out, just launching and docking boats.  I have several kayaks and Jon boats available on the property. Please bring your own life jackets if you have them. Firewood is available for $15 for mixed wood, pecan, sycamore, and chinaberry, and $20 for just split pecan. You are welcome to bring your own if you already have some.

Billy's property was great! It was the perfect private and relaxing spot for me and my husband to unwind with our pups for a few nights! Because of the storm, Billy moved us to another location (1), that ended up being perfect. My husband caught a few HUGE catfish the first night. The pecan trees gave us a lot of shade. We'd love to come back again!

Quick Weekend Trip w/the Dog

River Grove lives up to its ratings, hands down. Billy & Will have amazing hospitality, and genuinely care for the well being of their guests and animals. We stayed 1 night at the River Bottom / Wet Creek site #4 - and let me tell you, you are not prepared for how gorgeous and spacious this site is. The rolling grass meadow leading to the site with giant trees all around felt like we were heading into a lost, long forgotten oasis on the edge of the earth. The site itself appears to be split into an upper and lower level, with a gentle slope leading down to a pointed beachfront to both the river and a tributary creek (water on both sides!). 2 fire pits - 1 upper and 1 lower level - allow for multiple options for grilling and chilling. Across the thicket and down a ways on the river, the cows love to come out and relax in the water. They will keep you company should you be a solo traveler. We brought an off-road Tacoma with a roof top tent + generator, and had no trouble at all navigating the terrain. There is a well on-site if needed, though we packed enough water in and were fine. Overall, this is our new go-to for quick weekend trips away from the city. Took just over an hour from SA, and couldn’t have been a more thrilling and peaceful adventure for us plus our dog. Props Billy, you have really outdone yourself here! We absolutely loved the farm / campsite!!

Billy is an awesome host and very attentive to your needs and directions getting there. He was very helpful in guiding us around town to places we had needs for. Positive experience. The only CON is that even though each site was without power and water there were no such facilities anywhere on the campgrounds so you would need to bring your own toilet and shower equipment

A little slice of river heaven

This place is so peaceful and gorgeous. It sits right on a bend of the Guadalupe in a big pecan tree grove and it’s full of birds. It is on the back of a goat and sheep farm and it was delightful to see the herd come down in the morning and graze. None of the animals bothered me, and I didn’t have to worry about them getting into my camp.I had an amazingly relaxing time. Billy is a great host and on top of communications. I would highly recommend this place to anybody who wants a little R&R.

The campsite was extremely peaceful and well maintained. You can tell there was a lot of work put into making it as nice as possible before we arrived. Having cows and sheep pass by was such a cool addition to our day. Highly recommend!

Amazing location! Even with the wind and rain, there were no issues at all. The trees and other surroundings block almost all of the wind. Great views, and great times!

Me and my dog have stayed here twice and we can’t wait to be back! We love how secluded it is so he’s able to swim in the river all he wants. Billy is super helpful and provides a canoe!

I love love this site! Billy is an awesome host. I can’t wait to come back! The site is secluded and all you hear is the nature and the occasional noise from the highway (nothing crazy). I was so happy with my stay here. I got to see fireflies at night and I felt so magical! 😭 my dog loved it here too! He was tired from all the swimming.

We loved this camp site! Giant pecan trees all around, the Guadelupe River flows slowly nearby. We felt a good connection to nature, the countless bird songs, and quiet nights. The access is easy and gated. There is live stock roaming around which was good for that "Feeling" .....All in all we would recommend this camp site for those who want peace, quiet, and nature connection!

We had a great time camping at River Grove site 2. We were provided directions to the property and someone was waiting for us upon arrival. The site was clean, had plenty of space and it had 30 amp service for our RV. We fished along the river and had a great time camping and relaxing. If you are tent camping this spot would be good as there is plenty of level ground and plenty of room. You will need to bring your own portable toilet and water. If you are RV camping, there is an additional fee for electric. There are sheep and goats that roam the property and our kids enjoyed it! There is a fire pit but unfortunately there was a fire ban in effect and no open flames were allowed. We highly recommend River Grove and we will definitely be coming back!

This is our second time staying at River Grove with a group of 10 dog moms. The weather unfortunately was all over the place the weekend we stayed but Billy made sure we were safe and let us know of any major weather updates in the forecast. We got to checkout site 1 this go round and it was super spacious and great views. We’ll be back in the Fall!

I loved this place. Everything is as advertised. It's right on the river, and it was easy to drag my kayak in and out of the water. I didn't see another soul after meeting Billy and settling in, which is just how I like it. At night I could see tons of stars. I saw fish in the river, including one huge white one that kept slowly swimming back and forth near the bank, mocking me because I'm currently not a great fisherman. I recommend this place, and I'll definitely be back.
