Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
Moonwalker Ranch Desert Outpost is a portal to the lunar realm in Terlingua. There are trillions of stars out here, so bring your own tent or car-camping setup, telescope, and come vibe out on the moon in West Texas. Don’t forget the firewood and your favorite tequila. 2 fire pits, primitive camping, car or RV camping. Bring lots of extra extra water. Little Burro Country Store is back on the pavement, 3 miles north. Hours vary. No or little cell signal- Download offline maps to search coordinates. When you book, please message me for directions. Pack out *all* trash and waste. The land is ancient and untouched - please don’t disturb any landscape features or plants, including rocks. 4x4 or high clearance vehicle generally not needed on the road to Moonwalker Outpost. If it’s light rain, it is still accessible. Property boundaries are marked with small solar lights, please be respectful of the neighboring properties by admiring them from afar. Please keep your vehicle in the designated parking/driving area, tire tracks will ruin the desert floor and the vibe for many years. Inquire about using the property for media or other creative endeavors. I hope you fall in love with this unique landscape, the solitude, and the perfect quiet, like I have. -Matt

Moon Walker Ranch is like a little slice of heaven. Words do very little justice to how stunning the property is… it’s incredible!!! The 360 views were breath taking from sunset to sunrise. The star gazing was out of this world!! I’m so thankful we camped here! It made our entire trip. Thank you Matthew 😊

We've stayed here twice and will likely be back. Total darkness. Better stargazing than we have experienced in Marfa, Alpine, Marathon, etc. The campsite is remote but there is a market about 15 minutes away off highway. Large flowing creek about a mile or so down the road.
