Site 1 - The Lake Tent Camping
Jason was awesome and this campsite worked great for what I needed it for - a place to car camp with access to a bathroom and shower.

It's a good campsite with a beautiful view of the sunset at dusk. The spot hada building with showers and toilets so it was a comfortable stay.

This place was very peaceful! My son (8) and I had the entire property to ourselves! The pond was a little low, but what pond or lake isn’t! Showers and bathrooms were super clean! We will definitely be back!

What a lovely campsite! Super secluded and peaceful and the stars were so bright! My son and fiance saw their first shooting star! Hearing the coyotes howl from all directions was just magical! And so many birds! Birds we don't really see in the city! Very few ant mounds and I was surprised at how few mosquitoes their were being right off a little lake.
Saw lots of big toads and a couple harmless water snakes, it was just exactly the kinda place we've been searching for. A nice, peaceful campsite full of creatures and clean, warm showers and restrooms walking distance from the site. Oh! And so many native wildflowers! Jason was an amazing host, so friendly and informative. He told of us of a little catfish house right over the Red River and man! They make great catfish and give you SO MUCH FOOD!
I will say the lake was no good for swimming but we made an adventure out of crossing it to the other side and it was still a great way to cool off and get muddy. Lol See all the coyote and raccoon prints in the sand was so cool for my son!
Jason has really just set up a wonderful couple of sites to experience nature and see the stars. I can not recommend it enough!

Completely enjoyed my stay at The Pond Tent Campsite. It was very private. My dog and I walked to the pond and layed in the grass, watched the birds, and enjoyed a 75 degree day. It was wonderful to have a shower. The place was peaceful and quiet. Especially great to be able to have my dog off-leash.

Jason met & took us back to our spot for the evening. He made sure we had everything we needed, including fire wood, water, and access to some restrooms and showers. He also offered some games and other activities (which we didn't utilize, but still appreciated). The spot itself was perfect for parking our van & letting our three dogs run around and get some exercise as well as a quick dip in the pond. The evening sunset was perfect. If we ever find ourselves passing through town, we'll be sure to stay again.

Nice place to camp Jason was very welcoming and helpful clean showers and toilets a short walk away. They offer several out door games a place to grill and have fire wood available. This well definitely be a place we will return to.

This spot is amazing! Jason made sure to provide us with detailed turn-by-turn instructions to the camp site. The site has a picnic table, fire pit, and a pond nearby. The bathrooms on site were clean and most importantly had hot water. The camp site was very spacious. Looking forward to camping here again!

The area was beautiful and was remote enough that on a clear night you could see plenty of stars. But it wasn't remote enough to drown out some of the road noise nearby. I would definitely stay here again the next time I am passing through the area. Highly recommend.

Jason meet us and explained the layout, the fire ring, bathroom with showers, the areas to explore and available games, plus available grill. He was very nice and accommodating. The site was very peaceful with a beautiful night sky. Relaxing by the lake was a bonus. We will keep this spot in mind and will stay again.

Jason was a rock star host providing clear instructions, fire wood, and hospitality. The campsite and surrounding area exceeded our expectations. We loved walking the property and letting our dog run around to her hearts content. We can’t wait to return for another relaxing weekend.

Love camping at this little hidden gem. We keep coming back! The stars are bright and you have so much privacy. Jason, our host was kind and responsive. Firewood was ready and the site was well maintained for an awesome boondocking weekend.

This was a great spot for myself + gf + 2 dogs for three days. Dogs loved chasing a ball across the open fields and into the little pond near by. Jason was very helpful and hospitable. Recommended for sure!

Convenient stop! Sunset over the lake was beautiful. The site is fairly close to the road, so you’ll hear some traffic, but it’s rural enough so that you’ll hear coyotes, too.

I had a really nice time here over 2 nights. The property is so pretty during the sunset and when the sky is clear you can see way more stars then I bet you usually do. The second day was all rain, wind and snow, but if you don’t mind chilling in your tent for most of the day it’s still a good time. I’d recommend this site to everyone everywhere. if I’m ever back in this part of Texas I’ll stay here again for sure 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

This was an incredible camping spot right near a lake in the middle of a quiet field. We were just staying the night as we drove through, but we wished we could have stuck around to relax on the property for a while.
We showed up late and Jacob met us exactly where he said he would and then he showed us to our site. Very friendly and hospitable.

Jacob was super friendly and made us feel welcome. The campsite was very spacious and we had a fire pit which was sweet. We were right next to the lake, it was a very pretty area. I would definitely recommend this place to others and will most likely be back myself. We also appreciated the large pile of firewood they provided to us for a low price ($5). Thank you, Jacob!
