The Historic Downtown Johnson City Square is only 10 minutes away if you want to grab a drink or bite to eat. We are very excited to host you on our beautiful Hill Country property! Your selected option is a designated campsite. The campsite's name is "Bluebonnet Bluff". Enjoy the magnificent views of Buffalo Creek below and the Texas wildflowers all around you. Stargazing has never been better! Hike around our beautiful property all you want. This property is fenced on 3 sides (front, back, and right side) You may also hike along the creek, but, please do not cross to the left side of the creek as that side is not our property. Nearby wineries, restaurants, bars, etc: There is a plethora of wineries nearby (less than 10 mins) as this property is situated along the Texas Wine Trail. There some great restaurants and bars in the Historic Downtown Johnson City Square if you are feeling hungry or need to wet your whistle. Parking: Look for the green and yellow sign that says "Bluebonnet". Park in a nearby parking spot on the side of the dirt road or simply pull off to the side of the dirt road as to allow thru-traffic of other campers. It is very important not to block thru-traffic! You will then make a short walk down to your campsite. Dirt Road: This ranch has dirt roads only. If it is raining, it could get muddy but should still be drivable. 4WD is recommended when muddy. Restroom: There is no toilet on-site. You must bring your own camping toilet or bags. All waste must be disposed of off-site by you. Please don't leave this behind for me to clean up! There are also nearby gas stations and restaurants if you prefer a real bathroom. Water/Food: No water or food on-site. You must bring your own. Please take all trash with you when you leave. Trash: Please take all trash with you when you leave. Fires: If you are going to start a campfire, please ensure you practice proper fire safety. No fires should be left unattended. Be prepared to use water or stomp out any nearby grass if it accidentally catches fire. Do not start fires next to your tent, bushes, trees, car, etc. Only use wood that is found on the ground (there is plenty). Do not cut down any standing trees or break off any branches of standing trees. Wildlife: Please do not approach any wildlife as they may be dangerous. Typically they are afraid of humans, but you don't want to take a chance! There are also honey bee boxes on the property. Do not approach the bee boxes as bees could sting and swarm. They will leave you alone if you you leave them alone. Absolutely no hunting or shooting weapons on the property. CHECK OUT PROCEDURE: Clean up your campsite of all trash and equipment. Close the gate and latch the gate with the attached chain. Send a picture of the closed gate to your Hipcamp host through text or email. 469-766-4443 Again, we are very excited to host you on our property. We hope you love it as much as we do. Please feel free to reach out through Hipcamp anytime if you have any questions about the property or need any winery, restaurant, or bar recommendations whatsoever. Thanks!

Pick your own spot! BYOT or Vehicle

100%

RV/tent site · Sleeps 4 · Vehicles under 25 ft
BYOT (bring your own tent) or vehicle to camp on raw land. With this option you will be able to pick anywhere on the 15 acre property to set up your own tent or park your car, van, or truck to camp as long as it is not in a NAMED/DESIGNATED campsite. All vehicles must stay on the dirt road or just slightly off of it. You may place your tent anywhere on the property. Situated at the top of the bluff overlooking the Buffalo Creek, you will be sure to have an excellent view of the creek and the Texas Hill Country or find a secluded spot within the Junipers and Oaks. Stars will be a plenty from this property. Light up a campfire and unwind from the stresses city life brings or take a short 10 minute drive to the nearby wineries of Johnson City and Fredericksburg. The Historic Downtown Johnson City Square is only 10 minutes away if you want to grab a drink or bite to eat. We are very excited to host you! With the “Pick your own Spot” option you can pick any unnamed or undesignated camping spot on the property anywhere to the RIGHT of the creek (don't cross the creek!) that runs down the middle of the property. The property is fenced in on the front, right, and back of the property. The creek borders the left hand side. Again, don’t cross the creek as it is not our property on the other side! If you have questions once you get on the property, please reach out and I can help provide directions/guidance. You will be camping on a raw piece of ground anywhere of your choosing (as long as the spot isn't named or designated). It is important to note that a lot of areas can be rocky or have cactus that you might need to kick out of way to place your tent down. I would ask that you try your best to space out from any other campers for privacy. If you are camping in your vehicle, you can park on the side of the dirt road as long as you don’t block any thru traffic. You can also pull off into the grassy areas, but be aware of big rocks and cactus or large cliffs. You wouldn't want to get stuck out there! Hike around our beautiful property all you want. This property is fenced on 3 sides (front, back, and right side) You may also hike along the creek, but, please do not cross to the left side of the creek as that side is not our property. There some great restaurants and bars in the Historic Downtown Johnson City Square if you are feeling hungry or need to wet your whistle. Parking: Since you will be picking your own camping spot, there are not assigned parking spots for this option. You may pull off to the side of the dirt road as to allow thru-traffic of other campers. It is very important not to block thru-traffic! You may park in the grass anywhere you can find a spot. If you are tent camping, it is recommended you park towards the front of the campground and then hike with your items to find the perfect camping spot.
