At Heavenly Haven & Hideaways, we’ve created a family- and pet-friendly retreat where guests feel truly welcome—whether you’re camping under the stars, enjoying the trails, or relaxing in a cozy cabin. Our story began in the Dallas area, where we dreamed of having land, space, and the chance to share the great outdoors with others. Former avid RVers, we missed the joy of “glamping” and community life on the road. When we found this property in Tyler, Texas, we knew it was the perfect place to bring that vision to life. What started as a dream has become a God-inspired project fueled by our love for people, adventure, and the beauty of East Texas. Spread across 60 heavily treed acres, our property offers RV and tent camping, as well as two fully furnished cabins available for short- or mid-term rental (see photos and booking at heavenlyhavenandhideaways.com). Guests can gather around the large communal firepit, enjoy games like tetherball, volleyball, and horseshoes, or relax in the open field with a frisbee or a couple portable disc golf baskets. Trails wind throughout the property, including a small creek and endless opportunities to explore. The trailhead is located just south of Site A. We’re conveniently located just a few miles from Tyler State Park, where you can swim, bike, or rent paddleboats, and the Caldwell Zoo, known as one of the best small zoos in Texas. Shopping, museums, and great food are close by, along with unique stops in nearby Lindale—like Miranda Lambert’s Pink Pistol boutique. Looking for a little more peace and quiet? The Nest (Site A) is bordered by trees on three sides, giving you a cozy pocket of privacy with a tucked-away feel. With a crushed asphalt pad, water, and power hookups, this site works beautifully for both tents and RVs (except Super Cs due to the soft sugar sand). There’s a nice spot beside the pad for a large tent or 2 smaller tents. 🚻 Amenities close by: - Indoor restroom with toilet & sink (code provided with your reservation) - Outdoor shower with hot & cold water - Spotlights for easy hookups after dark 🌲 Bonus perks: You’re steps from our trailhead which is just south of Site A leading into 60 acres of beautiful East Texas forest with a small year-round creek. Such a beautiful spot! Very quiet, tons of trees, cutesy fire wood, chairs, sinks, trails. Loved my time there. Will definitely book again. 60 acres to roam and I was lucky to catch the leaves changing. They’re serious about allowing dogs off leash. Not an issue for me. I love dogs and enjoyed my several sweet dog visitors.

Group Camping – All RV & Tent Sites
The site was perfect for our group of dads from church. 4 tent sites in close proximity to each other with a communal fire pit and plenty of room for activities. The kids ran wild, the dads got to chill. It was ideal.

Jill and Anthony have a great place. Super clean campground. We loved that it's so dog friendly. The outdoor shower and close bathroom were super appreciated. The Nest felt very secluded and was exactly what we were looking for. The picnic table was used and enjoyed as well as the fire pit box.

The string lights were beautiful. Had the tent camping site basically to ourselves for the night. Jill was amazingly helpful. My husband and I were only there for a short time but hope to come back again soon.

Site B: The Overlook - Treeline RV
We loved our stay and will definitely be back! We are newer to camper life, so being one of our first trips, the unlevel spot was a lot to handle. Other than that, we had a fabulous time and my husband has some practice for next time! There was plenty of fun activities to do outdoors for all ages. Our 2 year old had a BLAST with the dirt, trails, toys, balls, etc. We had a great time playing badminton and hanging out. The weather was not great, and we still had a great time. Excited to explore the trails more next time. Very relaxed and friendly owners, super cool spot they have created.

Site C: The Grove – Full Hookups
The spot itself is beautiful, lots of trees and a trail to go into the wooded areas. As far as practical, the camp spot was way out of level so it was a bit of a struggle to get the camper leveled out. There was gravel down for the camper but I really think there could have been more to help eliminate how much sand you bring into the camper everytime you go in. There was not a table outside at our campsite, if we wanted to cook out or use a table we had to go to the common area where the tent camps were and we felt that was a bit intrusive. Also, we paid extra for early check in but our reservation did not reflect early check in so we arrived at regular check in time. However, the owners are very nice and I can appreciate the resort they are creating.

Camped for a couple of nights and was surprised. it’s got lights an outhouse and running water along with the standard campground stuff. Owner was out and about and great about making sure everything was working properly. Also had a thunderstorm the last night and the sand at the site actually held up and packing out was a breeze. Our first night camping ever with our new RV! The hosts were so nice and welcoming, gave us boards to help with leveling. Super friendly and helpful, we'd love to come back with the kids since there was a playground and several games available! Super relaxing and peaceful!

I appreciated the peaceful stop conveniently off of the interstate. I was concerned about being a lone, female traveler but Anthony made me feel welcome, safe, and seemed to really care for the campsites and guests, checking on everyone and tending to the site. There was a small creek near the campsite where I could sit and journal on some fallen trees- it was nice having access to explore their property a little bit. The grounds were well kept and the tent camping vibes were cute with the bulb lights. I would recommend this for group trips, for sure, but it’s also good for solo or couple camping if you like to be friendly with neighbors. The toilet was clean and I liked that there was potable water. I would have appreciated a fire ring for each individual tent site, otherwise there is a group fire fit (unless I missed one). Other than that- I would 100% come back:))))

We loved camping on Jill & Anthony’s land. They were very accommodating and informative. It was very peaceful and relaxing. The privacy and ability to let my child run and have activities to do was very nice. We will definitely be back.

I thoroughly enjoyed camping in my RV in site 1. Being surrounded by woods and the countryside location, allowed me to recharge through nature. The hosts even fixed me up with kindling in the fire pit so I could enjoy a campfire at night. What a thoughtful touch!

the space was lovely, easy to find and a super short walk from the parking spots to the tent areas. The tent spaces are close together, it would perfect for a large group to rent spaces together!

Very hospitable hosts. Clean sites, well maintained. A couple of upgrades would be welcomed. Possibly a different latch on the outhouse. The lock would occasionally get stuck while inside. And also maybe a solar powered light. Solar panel on the roof and light on the ceiling that’s motion activated. Gaming shed was cool. Maybe add a basketball hoop. Next time will check out one of the vacation rentals. They looked really nice.

Host is very friendly and responsive but not intrusive, they go above and beyond to ensure enjoyment of your stay with them. Lots of space and very friendly pup neighbors to wear your (friendly) pups out! Stay with them if needing a place to stay in Tyler, you won’t be disappointed!

The day before we left, my girlfriend and I wanted to extend the stay by a day, but the app wasn’t working with us. Anthony (who had just restocked the firewood while we were gone. We didn’t need to ask, we just came back from a drive and it was restocked) came down to meet us. I sent him the money for the extra night on Zelle and we called it even. Nice people, nice campsite, will likely be back

Very nice land to set up camp. I have a truck with a camper cap and a bed in the back. I was just passing through, stayed one night, but the property was clean, had nice hiking trails, and the owners are very hospitable. Would stop here again if im in the area.
