We are a working family farm nestled on 9 acres. You'll find lots of small-scale regenerative agriculture in action, with lots of farm animals who would love to meet you! Our property includes a private campsite with exclusive access to a rustic outdoor bathroom with a compost toilet and a hot shower. Other amenities include a fire pit, covered picnic table, and options to have firewood, fresh eggs, and/or a country breakfast provided. Learn more about this land: Get back to nature in our wooded oasis. Enjoy our fields and gardens, use our chicken-coop-turned-bathhouse complete with hot shower and compost toilet, visit with chickens, bunnies, and a miniature donkey, hike and bike to your heart's content, or spend all day in the hammock! Downtown Caldwell, about 15 minutes away, offers shopping, restaurants, and antiques. Lake Somerville State Park is about a 30 minute drive if swimming or boating is on your agenda. We are conveniently located 45 minutes from Bryan/College Station, an hour from Austin, and 2 hours from Houston.

Forested Campsite on a Working Farm
Witness homesteading for yourself!
Love our outing to Foxglove Grove! The campsite is very large, plenty of room to spread out. Very nice additions are a large shaded gazebo/car port, table + benches, and lot of seating in form of tree stumps. You're getting the real homesteading experience here - we really enjoyed the edible nature tour and hearing about how the hosts are approaching the whole "living off the land" thing. The kids either helped with the farm chores or were very close to doing it. ;) The roosters did crow a few times during the night, so best put those ear plugs in. When our plans changed and we had to leave 1 day early, which would mean we would've missed out on a country breakfast, the hosts were kind enough to make us dinner instead! It was absolutely delicious and we really appreciated the gesture. Thank you!

Forested Campsite on a Working Farm
My family had a great time, although in an unexpected way. I had expected just camping with my daughters. However, the site owners have children around the same age and they all got along fantastically. And there was a lot to do and to learn. My one daughter loves the Zipline. My other daughter adores the animals. The hosts were fantastic and it was a great farm camp experience!

Mom and son trip
The host family was very kind and welcoming. The edible food tour was very fun, and the fresh herbal tea was a wonderful touch. The baby bunnies were our favorite part!

Can't wait to go back!
We can not say enough good things about this place! The farm is beautiful, Monica is so welcoming, their dogs are a pack of sweetness. They came to see us several times a day and Ruby even watched over us at night. All of the add ons to the camp site are wonderful! It was very cold and rainy when we stayed so we were extra grateful for the bathroom and the covered picnic table. You can see that this family has put so much love and effort into their property. We will definitely be coming back in the spring for the farm tour!

Forested Campsite on a Working Farm
Monica and Mike were great hosts! They have two wonderful children and lots of animals! Ruby, one of their dogs, stayed with my brother and I throughout each night, too! Monica has a lot of knowledge of the plants around so the edible tour was a delight. The site is very spacious with prepared log seats around the fire pit. They also have a carport over a large table that was plenty of room for prep and eating. The bathroom had one night of no hot water, but Mike quickly stepped in help us figure out the issue the next day. An all-around pleasant experience and much needed get away!

We had a great time camping at the farm. The kids enjoyed feeding and playing with all the animals and Monica and her family were amazing hosts. We will definitely be returning!
