River frontage atop the granite cliff of Clifton, South Carolina, a historic textile town along the Pacolet River. Site overlooks the site of the former mill which was demolished leaving 2 stone warehouses and the foundation of the mill. Old bridge and old dam , The Shoals was one of the first crossing sites in Upstate Carolina. Learn Gold panning and recognition of gold from other heavy minerals from river . I have 15 years of experience in gold prospecting and will share with you little history and skill of getting raw placer gold from creeks and rivers . This is very Limited experience I’m offering and you will keep all the gold we find and have lifetime memories. Great for anyone who wonders where gold comes from . There is trail down to the river from the top , it’s extremely difficult bud you can try :)
