Sites located on the property of a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to helping our neighbors through opportunity. This property was originally an old gas station we reclaimed to provide sanctuary for anyone from the birds and the butterflies, to the chickens and the cows, for you and me. Our landscape has sloooooly been added to, and we are working towards an edible paradise and sustainable oasis. Prices are suggested donations, but we rather enjoy allowing those who need safe space when they need it, use it, and utilize work/trade help for long term stays 💕 All donations go towards the Full Circle Sanctuary's projects including a safe haven for mamas re-establishing independence after domestic abuse 💜 Communication is key! More sloped terrain but plenty of trees for hammocks! Fenced in area with fire pit, future location for our forest school. All money donated to our fight towards helping women gain independence after leaving domestic abusive scenarios. All in season edibles available to you as a thank you! Outdoor shower available. Plenty of down pine to burn, expect to pack in your own firewood for longer burning fires 🙂 Only site for free range pets! Completely fenced in. Ask about work-trade opportunities!

At The Valley Haven, you’re invited to slow down and return to something simpler. This secluded walk-in tent site rests beneath a future homesite, elevated above you and creating a naturally covered space that feels both grounded and gently held. Beyond you, a peaceful forested valley stretches toward the sunset. A wonderful spot for bird watching. The short walk in—about 75 feet along a downhill path—is just enough to shift your pace. Here, there is space to wander. To breathe. To reset. To return. It’s the kind of place where you might feel like you’ve found a small piece of heaven on earth… only to leave realizing it’s a feeling you can carry with you 💗 Your stay supports the creation of temporary housing here at Full Circle Sanctuary, for women and their children rebuilding independence after domestic abuse. In that way, your time here becomes part of something meaningful. Guests have access to an open-air outdoor shower, located separately from the site. A fire pit is available unless a local fire ban is in place. Seasonal edibles may be available as a gesture of gratitude. Please follow Leave No Trace principles and bring any supplies you’ll need for your stay. A table and chairs are provided. Work-trade opportunities are available upon request for longer-term stays.

A simple $5 donation per vehicle to park. First come first serve on spots. Mostly full sun spots until the afternoon shade, some shade spots with afternoon sun... Good cross breeze. Happy to interact and share information about the area and offer whatever we can from our land 💗Otherwise you are welcome to keep to yourself, no one will bother you if it's requested 🙂 Come and go as you please! No wandering from your space allowed unless introduced to the property first, thank you for your understanding and respect.

Available through the winter*** (Warm season (April-October) price $80.00 USD) Tucked into the heart of rural Long Creek, this adorable off-grid school bus offers a cozy and welcoming place to land on the grounds of The Backwoods Visitors’ Center & Community Shoppe. Simple, thoughtful, and full of charm, the Skoolie invites you to slow down and enjoy the rhythm of a slower, simpler pace. Inside, you’ll find fresh bedding, towels, basic dishes, and simple comforts to support your stay, along with small touches that make it feel cared for—fresh bouquets for each new stay, a kettle with complimentary tea, and access to garden produce and eggs when available as a gesture of gratitude. A stereo and a few games, including croquet, add a touch of playfulness to your time here. Lighting is kept intentionally minimal, with rechargeable and solar options available after dark—though bringing a headlamp is recommended for ease. Step outside to your own outdoor space with a picnic bench and fire pit, perfect for slow mornings and easy evenings under the sky. Your closest neighbors are a small flock of chickens—curious, friendly, and not shy about sharing their opinions. They add to the charm of the space, and their coop helps create a sense of privacy for your outdoor living area. An open-air outdoor shower is available on site. The surrounding space offers a bit of community, featuring a Little Free Library, Blessing Box, playground, and even a Post Office on site. Pets may be considered on a case-by-case basis, but due to close proximity to a busy road, approval is required in advance. What can I say… Sarahjoy is a gem. I needed somewhere to park last minute and she got back to me so quickly and made sure I was comfortable. She is truly a light and the world would be such a better place with more people like her 💛

Cool Experience!

The Long Creek Backwoods Bus

The bus was located next to the road, and also next to a post office!! It was a really pretty scenery next to the mountains. The stay was super nice and cool to experience. I would say tho, it does it cold at night, but lots of blankets and a sleeping bag is provided. I would totally recommend staying here, it was very fun!

I'm happy overall with the experience. However, it felt like you were camping behind an abandoned mechanic shop. I was desperate for a crash spot and this did the trick!

First off, SaraJoy is a beautiful soul. She was extremely kind and accommodating, even loaning us a few enclosed hammocks to lounge in. The campsite feels so peaceful, i forgot there was a little highway near. The outdoor shower had plenty not water and we even helped ourselves to some of the clothing items in the free clothes closet. We had so much fun camping here and will be coming back again and again. I've already been telling my friends about this little slice of heaven!

We had a lovely stay! Sarajoy is such a kind lady and made sure everything was perfect. We paid the extra $25 for the welcome platter and it was 100% worth it and all the snacks were delicious! Definitely will be returning at some point :)

The location of the bus was unexpected based on what was shared in the posted information.Though we could tell from one of the pictures that there was a parking lot next to the bus, upon arrival we became aware that the bus was also on a main road. Also, when the post office was opened, there were cars coming in and out of the parking lot all day. There was no wooded area behind the bus that was walkable. On the other side of the bus there was what seemed to be an abandoned house/property.The bus itself was very cozy but the overall experience was not what we were looking for.

coolest stay ever-i highly recommend! space was very homey and comfortable, and sarajoy was very helpful and even picked me fresh flowers when i got there-bonus! you'll never remember a night at a random hotel, but you'll never forget a night in a purple bus! 🥰✌️

This place was so magical. The bus was simply and beautifully set up and the host couldn't have been more hospitable. It's such a great location too, in close driving distance so many trails and waterfalls. I will definitely be back.
