Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
We are a family run cattle station. The station has been in the Murray family for over 100 years now. We breed predominantly brahman cattle as well as some speckle park and angus. Uanda is very unique as there are about 93 different land types. So the country varies greatly from paddock to paddock. Near by is Moorinya National Park and Forrest Den National Park as well as Kooroorinya Falls and Sports Reserve. Our local small towns are Torrens Creek and Prairie to the north, with Hughenden and Charters Towers being our main shopping towns. Uanda is a great place to stop over if you are travelling or if you would like to unplug from the rest of the world for a few days and reconnect to nature without distractions.a large area next to Horseshoe Dam with plenty of shade and or open area to park. The ground is mostly dirt or some grass. There is a wood fire BBQ with access to firewood. There is plenty of bird life for those who like to bird watch. Water activities are welcome on the dam. Bush walking around the dam is fine. It is a great spot to disconnect from the world.

Horseshoe Lagoon
Absolutely beautiful property to camp at especially when they have had rain before you get there, Lagoon was full as were the creeks for a swim. Plenty of wildlife to keep you entertained and Jody is a great host

Horseshoe Lagoon
The isolation of this place makes it a truly awesome experience for those wanting to enjoy the serenity of nature. There is no mobile reception for about 45 minutes drive in any direction. It is important that campers are completely self-sufficient for bush camping to ensure the beauty of the site is maintained. Jody was a wonderful host. I will definitely be returning.
