Rainforest Campground &amp; Glamping

Absolutely beautiful view from the campsite. The kitchen area was extremely useful. Great communication with the host. Highly recommend!! Note for families with kids: as mentioned in the description, the hike down to the river is VERY difficult. We took our kids (ages 4, 5, 7, 8) down the trail, but we wouldn’t do it again. That said, I DEFINITELY want to come back to the glamping site. The view is unparalleled and there are tons of things to do around there.

An exceptional experience!

An exceptional experience! This camp site is stocked with everything you need! The grounds manager is very thoughtful and super responsive. The view is absolutely GORGEOUS! Keep in mind if you are renting a vehicle it is better to have four wheel drive. The mountain roads are difficult to traverse in two wheel drive!

The views are absolutely amazing, and we truly loved the hike down to the river, that was definitely the highlight of our stay. The location is beautiful and feels very close to nature, you would see a lot of birds. That said, it’s important to come prepared for a true camping-style experience. Privacy is limited: you can see guests from the other tent and hear them from time to time. The bathrooms for each tent are located in the same area, just facing opposite directions, so if you’re very private or more introverted, this is something to keep in mind. We also experienced issues with the water system. The hot water in the showers wasn’t working properly, and a water tube was broken. We were told it would be fixed during our stay, but it wasn’t. Because of this, we had to manually turn a valve on and off each time we needed to use the toilet. We were offered the option to use the campsite bathroom, about a 10-minute walk away, but the showers there were either cold or extremely hot, making them difficult to enjoy. Other than these issues, we really loved the place, the natural surroundings, and the hike. With improvements to the water system and clearer expectations around privacy, this could be an incredible stay.

Peaceful Getaway with stunning view

We chose this campsite for our daughter’s 11th birthday. We had a great glamping experience with absolutely stunning views! It was truly a peaceful and scenic escape. The hike to the stream was beautiful but definitely challenging due to recent rain; the trail was muddy and SUPER slippery, so come prepared with proper footwear. The campsites are near a little drop off, so it’s best to only take big kids. The host was incredibly responsive, kind, and provided detailed information that made our stay smooth and stress-free. Overall, a memorable adventure that we will cherish forever!

A+ from a solo traveler

I was lucky to have the campground to myself the whole evening. As a solo traveler I was a little apprehensive at first, but everything was so well organized and communicated. I was able to speak to Adam on the phone, he sounds like an awesome dude who truly looks after guests! Sunset and sunrise were gorgeous, and the sound of the frogs, while yes very intense at first (right by my head outside the tent!) it ends up quieting thruout the night. I saw a few posts about people saying the tents looked nothing like the pictures and wasn’t sure what quality to expect. They are only a different color 😂 still just as good! The road up is a tight one, just hug the edge and slow down. Great spot! And the stream was amazing!

Great place for camping! Hot showers and toilets are a super plus! Hiking is a bit extreme but the views and magical place is well worth it! Easy and convenient to get there. 15min drive to Utuados main town.

Really beautiful land and very nice set up! We “glamped” in the tent/bed set up and found it very comfortable. We appreciated the fan provided to keep us cool at night. The bathroom and shower were very nice as well! We really enjoyed the jungle walk on the property (but know it’s not for the faint of heart. Very difficult both up and down but WOW so worth it!!) I would recommend arriving in the daylight hours - even with very amazing directions from the host it was difficult to navigate in the dark. Plus, you need to be prepared for an intense drive to the site. Roads are narrow (to the point that you feel it should be a one way but cars will certainly be coming from the opposite direction), curvy, mountainous and a bit pot-holey. This is how a lot of the roads we traveled in Puerto Rico were so just be aware!! We chose to not use the kitchen facility and personally wouldn’t recommend relying solely on that as a means for your meals. Another recommendation is to bring ear plugs! It is SO COOL being immersed in the rainforest but you can’t comprehend how loud of the Coqui (frogs) are & they have a high pitched cry that can easily keep ya up at night. Overall, great and unique experience while in PR!

Beautiful! We all thoroughly enjoyed our Lakeview glamping experience! The tent was perfectly set up for two adults and two teenagers. The beds were comfortable. The View outstanding! The kitchen was perfectly practical even with all the leaks, as it rained HEAVILY every afternoon. HOT showers. Lovely walk to the stream and waterfalls. A MUST do adventure! We were sad to find the firewood punky and soggy. All in all a fabulous experience.

This place was beautiful and perfect! Our site wasn’t right next to anyone which we loved and it had an amazing view! It was camping but a little less stressful as they had so much already there for you ready to use. The bathrooms were even nice! I would def recommend this place to everyone!

EXCEPTIONAL LOCATION! Loved everything about the trip, and the host's flexibility. There are nice amenities as described and the view is breathtaking. We loved the versatility of the space, where people can either stay at the house, glamp, or camp. Makes for a perfect family trip with diverse generations. Will come again!

Glamping on the side of a mountain

Adam’s place was absolutely mesmerizing! The views took my breath away. We had the entire glamping site to ourselves and enjoyed the shower and clean campsite. We walked the trail down to the water which was an adventure in itself. Highly recommend ordering dinner to be brought to you. My kids, husband and I loved sitting out by the fire looking down the beautiful mountain eating some of the most delicious authentic Puerto Rican food. Could not recommend this place enough.

Sold on Glamping.. usually I set up a tent. Host has set up a suite. Full kitchen, hot shower, tiolet. View can't be beat. Location in center of PR opens many options.

Loved the place. It was a little cramped for us (6 people) as the other tent and common spaces were really close to each other. The trails were fun and well marked but steep and sometimes obstructed with vegetation. I loved how accesible everything was in the Glamping site and the view was breathtaking. I was not able to meet Adam face to face but he was attentive through the phone and helped us a lot when settling in. Tent was not the one in the picture but it was adequate for 4 people. We were given two full sized beds on full sized bed frames. One bed was a spring mattress and the other one was an inflatable mattress. Also it included a fan and a light connected to an electrical outlet. We put up another tent for the other 2 people and it was great. Overall the experience was great.

We had such a lovely stay at Adam's House! The view of the mountains was incredible, especially watching the clouds lift off the lake in the morning. Highly recommend visiting Cañon Blanco while you're here, it's so close and stunning.

It’s a beautiful site. Drinking coffee looking at the valley is one of my core memories now! It rained while we were there but the sites have good drainage and the water flowed away from our tents.
