Martha extended every convenience to us during our recent overnight, bonus that her camp area is tucked under beautiful trees with wildflowers and a velvet soft lawn. Quite surprised there were no bugs. Minutes to the Sullivan County Fair fun and World’s End State Park swimming. We enjoyed both and plan on a return visit.

Martha, the pups, and her land were so lovely and quaint to be introduced to this past weekend. We loved being able to camp right next to the sounds of the babbling stream in her shaded meadow. We happened to be the only campers and were provided with a great sense of privacy and comfort as we made ourselves at home within our camp. Each site comes with a new picnic table as well as a fire pit with firewood available upon request. Martha's hipcamp is a great stop if you find yourself at Worlds End looking to disconnect from the every day.

Martha was very sweet and it was a lovely time tent camping on her property. Cute little dogs, beautiful property. Nice river and very relaxed place. Super chill and would recommend.

Martha was friendly and accommodating, helping us with directions, and her property was scenic. However, sites were pretty close together. Our neighbors were maybe 10 yards away. We could hear their music and conversations in full. The shower was not very private or usable. You’re better off using bath houses at Worlds End State Park. Even though the listing said firewood was available, but they were out. I completely understand this happens, but including this in a message would have been helpful as the area is remote. We would’ve been happy to pick some up on our way if we had known. Overall we had an ok time but were a little mislead on the privacy factor.

On a cross-country road trip, this was by a long shot our favorite of three campsites. It's a lovely property in the mountainy wilderness, a trim and fresh lawn that's not too manicured. A beautiful refreshing creek curled around the site where we pitched our tent, the air was clear and the stars were bright. I didn't know there were such gorgeous natural places in Pennsylvania. Martha is welcoming and friendly with three sweet dogs. Social distances best practice was observed, and we felt safe from the ongoing pandemic. Thanks, Martha!

It was an interesting experience! This was my first Hipcamp and my expectations were high after reading the review left by a previous camper on July 6. The pictures aren't quite accurate though - the space to park (next to garage) is only about 30yds from the first site, and all 4 sites are within 30ft of each other. There is a 5th site that is more secluded by the barn, but another group of campers were already there!
It was not super private - all 4 sites were in the same area. Luckily there were just 2 groups (us and another) which made it more manageable. Had there been all 4 fires in use, then we would have been on top of each other and competing for noise/silence.
The shed for rain shelter was also pretty buggy and the size of a minivan inside - it would not be large enough for all people to take cover long term. It did function nicely to store food / coolers in there to deter bears!
Lastly, the host and the host's family popped in frequently to say hi / chat. If you're looking for that, Martha was very personable!

I had a great time for the most part, very thankful for a porta potty. we claimed the one site away from the others that had by far the best view, nestled between floral bushes by the rocks of Kings Creek where a spruce tree arches over. this site is also real close to the house but conveniently close to the barn where you can safety put food bags over night so critters don’t get to them. Bring your own wood or prepare to pay 5 bucks a box for her wood. You’re not allowed to take wood off of her property, I wish there was more transparency about this before I got there.
The other sites are a lil further from the yard but still kind of by the creek but all really close together. So if you’re trying to get away from people in Covid times, this might not be the best place to stay unless you can get the corner creek spot. Also we felt like we had to be aware of our noise levels for the proximity we were to the house but she insisted that it was fine but it still was in the back of my mind and if we had to be at one of the 4 sites that are close together (20 ft apart) I’m sure we would have annoyed someone. So this isn’t a great spot if you’re trying to get rowdy with some good pals and not wanting to reflect on noise levels.
Martha, her daughter and her husband are accommodating but between all of them being around we didn’t feel like we got our privacy when there and feel like we shouldn’t have to state we want privacy to get just that. He offered astrology readings which is cool if you’re into that stuff but I like to think we were obviously not trying to do that and the discussion should have ended but it went on like he was just hanging out with us and it felt unnecessarily long, especially when time is precious when hanging out with friends that live on the other side of the state you don’t see too often. Everyone was very nice but it felt a little like soliciting which i didn’t like.
The property is very close to worlds end though and obviously Loyalsock and ricketts glen as well which is where we spent our time so I enjoyed being close to cool nature at the very least with some amenities.

Martha was very kind, however, my friends and I were expecting a much more private experience than we ended up having. When we arrived, Martha informed us that the site was booked up with 5 groups of campers. The property is NOT big enough for this many campers. Luckily, one group came and left when they scouted out the situation and one never showed, leaving us with just two other groups. The site at the creek is quite remote, but the 4 sites behind the property are not private. Overall I am sure it is lovely when other campers are not around, but if you are looking for privacy in nature this isn't it. Additionally, fracking trucks drive past the property at all hours and are very loud.

We did not end up staying at the site because we were looking for something a little more secluded. The property is beautiful and seemed like it would be a great area to put up a tent to sleep and then spend the day exploring worlds end nearby but we were hoping for a more remote location so ended up finding other accommodations. Martha was great in allowing us to use her WiFi while we found more suitable accommodations for our weekend off. Was a little bummed about the strict no refund policy but I do understand it was a last minute cancellation.

Martha was very welcoming, friendly, and the location is great for getting to some trails via a short car ride. The campsites are fairly close to the house which was fine but just a heads up that the property is not very large. If you are able, I recommend the spot by the creek as it was the most private and also very beautiful waking up to the stream and the tall trees on the rock face. One thing to note was we were also approached by a resident soliciting astrology readings which was interesting, but could be seen by some as a bit overwhelming as he returned several times once very early in the morning and would come back with different offerings throughout the last morning. Overall a great experience and a very friendly host! Might be reaching out for a reading for fun!

Everybody was very nice and all her son in law walked around and talked with everybody for a little. Very nice no complaints their. Idk if i misunderstood the post about the site but i thought it was going to be more private the house was secluded in thr mountains but their was 4 sites in the backyard of her house and they were pretty close together so even just regular volume talk was very easibly heard from each campsite and the only privacy was in your tent and even then you could hear everybody and everybody could hear you no problem.

Martha is a sweetheart and a lovely host. We had access to all the amenities we needed and privacy was certainly not an issue. The creek is a fantastic spot to take a dip and the sky is full of stars at night. Truly an escape!

What a wonderful retreat in Sullivan County! Martha's property was so beautiful and picturesque. Quiet, peaceful, and perfect for relaxing. We had our campsite at the back corner of the yard surrounded on two sides by the bend of the babbling creek. The site was flat and the fire ring was great. The only thing to keep in mind is that you are not deep in the woods. You are in her yard so there are buildings within view and the road (although very lightly traveled) is pretty close - just keep your back to them and its perfect!. Martha was very generous and gracious and her dogs we super sweet when we greeted her. Definitely a 5 Star retreat. Perfect if you want to get out of dodge and not have to brave Worlds End State Park's Campground with hundreds of your closest strangers.

We had such a wonderful time staying out with Martha on her land! We couldn't believe the beauty of her property; the creek water was crystal clear and peaceful, the trees were massive, and her yard and the campsite areas were well-maintained. The campsites are all a bit close to the main house, but we didn't mind that at all, and we loved getting to talk to Martha. There barn on the property is 107 years old, and we loved exploring it and hearing it's history. There are fire rings at every campsite, perfect for campfire dinners.

Martha and her family were amazing hosts! They made us feel at home and were the perfect balance of being social with us and giving us privacy. The property is beautiful and only a short drive from Worlds End state park, which we really enjoyed exploring. At night we stayed warm by the fire pit and in the day we cooled off in the creek. I highly recommend staying here and exploring the area!

Such a lovely little property to camp! The meadow was very well kept. The host was extremely helpful and accommodating and made our stay very relaxing. We loved falling asleep to the sound of the creek and the birds!
