We loved the site on Curtis’s property! Isolated enough to truly enjoy the camping experience, and a number of amenities to make it comfortable. My children enjoyed the swings, creek, as well as seeing the farm animals. Highly recommend!

Camping in Western PA your chance of rain is up there, in fact we’ve had rain every time we camp.
We usually play games in our tent, but, the shelter gave us a great place to play and enjoy/ wait out the rain.
This isn’t a walk around naked private site, but it’s secluded enough that no one will bother you while you’re enjoying family time. House close by but not too close to take away the camp experience. And right on the edge of farmland with some trees for cover.
Cute creek for a creek walk, definitely not swimming in it. No trails but beautiful woods to look at. Awesome tire swing, a high light for everyone. Compost toilet did the job and wasn’t stinky.
Definitely a camp to come back to if your looking for a camp to just hang around and enjoy each other.

Had some heavier glamping equipment to test out and the ability to pull right up to the spot was great. I had a great time. Very beautiful and peaceful day.

Other reviews were mixed about how secluded this spot was and I would say - it’s complicated. This spot is a cozy, magical nook nestled within a farm and a park. There is a shed/neighbor house that can be seen through the trees and they have a spotlight that they seem determined to leave on all night, but their house/light isn’t super close and it still manages to be very dark at the site. There is a small baseball field in the park and they happened to be having a beer league playoff during the day we were there, which we could hear (but not see) from the site. I’m guessing that
being there on playoff day is pretty unusual and it’s a small price to pay for having a lovely park so close by. At the end of the day, I wouldn’t let noise from the park or proximity of the neighbors/their light keep me from coming again. The creek is lovely and the kids with us (ages 4, 6, & 7 had a great time playing in the creek, swinging on the tire swing/swingset, and watching the cows/pig in the field next door. The site was well maintained except that the solid waste side of the compost toilet needed to be emptied. The host was considerate and the firewood we purchased was very reasonable. All in all, I would say that this site is a great option and a valuable part of the Hipcamp community.

I loved tent camping on Curtis's land! The stream was lovely and there were a lot of places to pitch tents. There was a rain storm so having a covered pavilion came in clutch. We spent some time walking in the creek, it was so pretty and was perfect to cool off in

What a great little camp spot. We appreciated the pavilion, picnic tables, and grille. Sleeping beside the fire with the creek softly whispering and stars above. We would love to come back again sometime!

Grateful for the large pavilion to set up under when arriving after dark in the rain (with a flood watch). Appreciated quick responses from the host about firewood and flooding.
Was surprised that the path to the site was so overgrown… Made it difficult to tell, especially in the dark, if my vehicle could make it through the mud. However, we were able to drive through and park in a solid spot.
Location is pretty and the amenities are nice, although a bit closer to the neighbors than expected… no interactions though. There was also a garbage can that animals must’ve gotten into but we cleaned it up.

I loved tent camping here on Curtis's farm! The spot was so cute and was bigger than I thought it'd be. Having the shelter would have been perfect if it happened to rain. Sleeping next to the babbling brook was super relaxing, I definitely want to come back when it's warmer to splash around.

This is a lovely, secluded spot with a nice shelter/pavilion, creek and bridge. Curtis was extremely helpful when our van got stuck in a muddy place in the lane.

Beautiful creekside, woods around, shelter so handy when it rained! Farmer was very responsive, and one of our group was able to observe cow milking time, very cool. All the sights we wanted to see were close, beautiful landscape.

I don’t think telling someone to contact you through the app. Them, not being responsive & and eventually saying you don’t receive notifications is the way to go….after the guest tries to reach you.

I'll preface this but saying we stayed at 2 other hipcamps in the last 2 weeks that were magical.
This could have been, but was not.
The location is pretty and makes for great photos. The site was littered with trash and used / wet clothing including a children's belt, a shirt, and socks.
There is broken furniture throughout the site - not in a cute artsy way - just junky old furniture that should be discarded.
The cherry on top would be that we sent a message to the host regarding timing and didn't get a courtesy reply.
In our experience the host usually sends a personalized welcome message and a follow up to see that the site was found and to ask how everything was. No communication was received from this host.
All in all this is a perfectly fine site but it's clear they don't take hosting hipcamp seriously, it's just an afterthought on their property and could be much more. A good cleaning would go a long way.

As much as the site is prepared for larger groups—it was just me enjoying a cocktail and a sun streaked stream. I never met the host—my doing not theirs. I stayed twice—once in each direction to and from a different destination.

The spot is very easy to access and quite private. It's very rustic...this is not glamping. That said, for me, that's a compliment. I was looking for a simple spot to pop a tent, make a campfire and relax for an evening and that's what I got. No contact with host, but got the sense that if I needed assistance I could have easily got a hold of them. The neighbors were a bit loud, lots of music and chatting until 1:30am...so not very quiet. But considering I was listening to music until after 11pm myself on a Saturday night, can't be too upset. The pavilion was really nice to have available! Outhouse is an outhouse...not fancy, but I've experienced many and this was on the cleaner side. Well maintained but bare bones. It is what it is. The creek was awesome. Nice to be able to pull right up to the camp and park. Would consider another visit!

Curtis's camp is beautiful. The creek flowing beside serenaded us all day and night long. There is a lovely pavilion on the property. It rained the first day, and the pavilion was perfect. We set up our coleman stove and had great family meals there. There are picnic tables and a fire ring. We went creek stomping a number of times during our visit, and the kids found deep enough water to get wet. If you look one way through trees your see a field with cows and pigs. If you look the other way, you see woods. We came with two of our older children and brought three tents. Everyone had their own space. If you walk a short distance through the woods, there is a park. The park was especially nice to see fireflys in the evening. The creek, the moss, the fireflys, and the trees made it feel a little magical. We highly recommend this site.

We loved tenting here it was so beautiful and peaceful in the perfect location. The outhouse was great for convince. The tire swing and bridge were great touches.

Great camp site! I could easily see a small group of people having a fun night. The pavilion was especially nice since it rained. We also filtered and drank the stream water with no issues. Absolutely would recommend to a friend.

The best experience ever. Not only the place is nice and peaceful, but also Curtis and his family were very kind, polite and generous. They showed us around the farm and showed us how they milk their cows. We even had the chance to try their delicious fresh milk and butter.
The place is super clean and there is plenty of chairs and tables for a big party. We enjoyed the swings and the creek.
We will definitely come back again and recommend this place.

The stream, the swing, the pavilion, and the fireplaces, are all amazing.
It is a wonderful place for families where kids can walk around safely. The adjacent Mammoth Park is very pleasant, offering nice trails and playgrounds.

Kind of feels like an old park shelter. Great spot if you want to listen to a stream while you sleep and have a nice fire next to said stream. Self check in was great. We didn't see a single person the entire time we were at camp.
