My wife and I and our four children moved to this 25 acre farm in 2017, and the creek and adjoining Mammoth Park soon became our favorite spots to relax. Our two boys swim and fish in the holes, while the girls enjoy picking flowers and making "houses" among the trees. We also love hosting friends and family for cookouts, or spending a Sunday afternoon in the cool shade beside the creek. On our 15 acres of pasture land, we raise chickens, pigs, a few dairy cows, and some steers. We are not a certified organic farm, but we raise our animals on pasture grass as much as possible, without chemicals or synthetic fertilizers. The Mammoth Park, which adjoins our property, features a 20-acre lake, a new 9-hole disc golf course, walking trails, pavilions, ball fields, a giants slide, RC airstrip, and more. We'd love to share our favorite spots with you! Learn more about this land: Relax to the sound of the babbling brook, stroll through woods and pastures, cool off in the stream, or join us for an outdoor milking experience. Take a hike, catch a sunset view, firsh or throw a round of disc golf at the beautiful Westmoreland County Mammoth Park.  Our 25-acre farm is located at the base of the Chestnut Ridge in the Laurel Highlands, beside the Westmoreland County Mammoth Park. Our camp site features a pavilion, fire place with a grill, fire ring, and swings, all beside the beautiful, clear waters of the Welty Run. You can park at our buildings and walk to your site, or park at the site. Small campers are allowed with 4x4 vehicles. Nearby attractions include golf courses, state parks in the Laurel Highlands, Frank Lloyd Wright houses, caverns, and white water rafting. Or, schedule your stay around our local events like the Westmoreland County Airshow, Westmoreland County Fair, or the one-of-a-kind Kecksburg UFO festival. Whether you're looking for a beautiful, relaxing retreat, or a base camp for exploring the Laurel Highlands of Pennsylvania, we look forward to hosting you at the Footbridge Haven Campsite. Directions: On Blacksmith Road off of Rt 982, you will pass our house (715) on the left, with 2 driveways.  Go past both driveways, and you will see a pasture fence on your left.  Continue to the end of the fence.  There, turn left between the telephone pole and the corner of the fence.  There is an opening in the trees, leading to the site.  There is a picture of the entrance in the pictures.

Peaceful space by a creek
Plenty of space for hammocks, eating, tenting, playing, cooking, and sitting by the fire. Loved the covered area… awesome especially on the last day when it rained!

It was a beautiful site and well-kept. The creek was a lot of fun for my daughter--full of fish and crayfish and very clean. Nearby Mammoth Park was beautiful and just a short walk away.

Footbridge Haven Farm
Lovely spot tucked away in the trees, but not isolated in deep woods. The camp-side stream is great and the kids loved the tire swing. We brought some of our tables and our canopy, but we didn't need to: the pavilion is large and directly next to the campsite. It has two wooden picnic tables and a glass table as well. One tip: if you cross the footbridge, then turn right, walk along the stream a bit, then follow a small foot path through the brush, you'll emerge in a large field in Mammoth Park near the baseball fields. Follow the treeline a little farther, and you'll find a playground and bathrooms with running water all within a 5-minute walk from the campsite.

Footbridge Haven Farm
Our visit to Footbridge Haven farm was a lovely evening in peaceful surroundings. During our stay, my husband and I drove-up to the campsite right near the large, covered pavilion. The camping plot was well-maintained with a fire ring, wood stove, playground, swing, and access to a rustic, outdoor toilet. The evening was quiet, and we slept soundly in our tent set up near the gently flowing stream. The next morning we woke up as amber light filtered through tall pines and other evergreens. Cows were resting in an adjacent pasture as dew slowly rose from the tall grass. Before packing up and continuing our journey, my husband and I ambled around the property, taking the short path over the footbridge. We also let our inner-child enjoy the tire swing that hoisted us over the width of the stream. If you’re searching for a quiet, relaxed place to spend the night, Footbridge Haven is a great pick. Thank you for sharing your Hipcamp with us!

The camping site was exceptional. The stream was relaxing and provided hours of entertainment for the kids. The pavilion added a great covered gathering spot. Definitely look forward to visiting this location again. Curtis was very helpful and very quick to answer and questions and concerns.

We had a wonderful time camping at Curtis place and highly recommend it to both small and larger groups. There is plenty of great hiking in the area (within 20-30 minutes) and the place has everything you need - privacy, shelter, water, key amenities, wonderful surroundings.

Great spot for a camp trip. The pavilion is great to have to help keep things dry. Nice stream by camp to keep a calm meditation while sitting by the fire.

The pavilion was a nice spot by a creek for kids to play in. They found two toads and a frog. Thanks to Yohan for bringing firewood over in a wheelbarrow. Access to Mammoth Park was a pleasant surprise and discovering the giant slides a real treat for the kids.

Perfect getaway for family
Great space! There’s plenty to do just bring extra clothes and towels for the kids. Try for a nice dry time there. It rained each day we were there but we made the best of it. We definitely want to come back!

Quiet Stay in Western PA
We loved our stay. Perfect location and great place for a quite getaway. Our site was located along a creek which was nice for our puppy. The property also butts up to the Mammoth State Parl. Easy to walk over and explore. We stayed here bc it was about 30 minutes from Ohiopyle and some other attractions. We did have issues finding the exact camping location. We got to the property but we’re kind of lost. Curtis and his wife were quick to answer message and help.

Pretty stream-side campsite
This is an easy-to-access site next to the beautiful little stream. It is fairly close to the road and you get some noise but it is a rather sleepy country road. It would be great for families – pavilion, swings, grill and fire ring, a clean and well-kept outhouse, and a fun area to explore. There are a couple of security lights from neighboring properties that I worried might be intrusive but it was fine in practice.

Kids had a blast!
This site was very nice. Great having a pavillion! Not as secluded as we hoped but the kids had a blast! We fished Mammoth Lake, found baby turtles, fished in the creek at the site, and they swam in a pretty deep swimming hole. There was a little market 2 minutes from the site, which was great for ice and milk. We were asked if we wanted to see them milk the cows, so took a walk up to the farm to see, and it was funny watching the pigs play around. Asked Curtis for firewood and it was immediately brought down to the site.

Gorgeous waterside setting to camp!
Curtis and his family were kind enough to welcome us onto their property fairly last minute. Their sons showed us the property and we chatted about disc golf while setting up our camp. They have a really sweet dog and a beautiful space that we enjoyed a lot. Would definitely stay here again!

Had an amazing stay! It was of course chilly out so having the option of buying fire wood right from the host was perfect to keep me warm by the fire. The outdoor toilet is the best one I’ve ever seen, the only smell is from the beautiful wood chips in there. This is such a hidden gem of a campsite. Will be returning for sure!

My sister and I had a WONDERFUL stay at Footbridge Haven Farm. It was just the two of us, and we had sooo much space to spread out. The grill and the fire pit were key since the nights were cold. The outhouse was also great. Thank you, Curtis!

Footbridge Haven Tent Site
Curtis was friendly and welcoming on arrival. The site itself is nice and isolated. However, the path to the site was overgrown and uneven footed under the long weeds. This made for a harder load in/out with bad weather and a little bit stressful for walking in the dark or rain for tripping/ankle twisting hazards. Otherwise a nice stop. Hi to the cute pigs and cows.

The campsite was perfect for what we needed and for the price, and we were greeted by a nice dog when we got there! It was pretty small, space for probably only two small tents, but it fit our group (of 2) perfectly. There was some road noise, but as it was a residental country road, there wasn't much traffic. The walk from the car to the campsite was clear and easy to follow. Unfortunately we didnt hear from our host until after we left, but I'm assuming that that was due to my phone service, and not his fault. Overall, it was a good weekend, the perfect site for an easy camping get away or a trial weekend before a bigger trip.
