Honestly, we struggled with whether to write a review about our stay here. While we made the best of our few days, we felt kind of forgotten about by our hosts. The week before our stay, they messaged us to inform us that the road to the location had been washed out by heavy rain and we would not be able to drive our vehicle up the hill. They did offer us the option of cancelling our stay due to this. However, we decided to keep our booking. We asked if they would be able to help us get our stuff up the hill when we arrived and said they could. When we booked the stay, we were told that they would like to have a meet and greet when we arrived. On our way there we sent a few messages to our hosts to let them know when we would arrive but we didn't here back from them. We arrived around 2:30 but we still didn't here anything from them. We ended up hauling our stuff up the hill and finding the site on our own. After arriving at the site, we found the bus to be very dirty inside as if I wasn't cleaned after the last guests left. The solar power was not charged before we arrived and we didn't have any power or water available to us. It wasn't until 5 o'clock or so that we heard back from one of our hosts. It wasn't until 6 o'clock at night that someone arrived to fill the water pump and fill the generator with gas to charge the batteries in the bus. After our host was done we were left to listen to the generator ran the whole night until it ran out of gas. Like I said, we made the best of that night but all of it made it feel forgotten about or even unwelcome. When it was time to go to bed, we found that the boards that made up the bed we're broken making for a very uncomfortable sleeping situation. The next day the electric charger was beeping non stop, so we had to turn it off. We didn't really understand how the power worked so we ended up running out of juice in the middle of the night. We had also spent an extra $20 to "meet the animals" on the farm, but we never heard back from our hosts for the rest of our trip. When it came to the last day, we decided to leave as early possible because we had no power and felt really uncomfortable and forgotten about. The place had a lot of potential but we feel really disappointed by our stay because of situations that could've by better communication and attention.

We had a great time visiting Wanda! It was nice to have the spices, pots/pans/utensils available if needed. Wanda had plenty of space for two of us and driving into town/around the area was super easy. Cristina was great at communicating with us when needed. I would recommend Wanda to others!

The gravel road to campsite 1 is VERY precarious! We got the car stuck, but thankfully the owners were AMAZING and helped us get unstuck! The other campsites are actually pretty accessable though and they let us use one of those instead after arriving. We ordered the firewood and eggs and had a fantastic fire pit and open area. The owners are sooooo nice and the property has lots of cute animals. Recommended!

The farm is adorable. I stayed at campsite #3 and it was really private and peaceful, which I loved. On my second day I slipped and twisted my knee. I had to pack up and leave early. After contacting Cristina and Pete, they expressed concern for my injury and offered to refund my money for the last several days of my reservation. Which was an unexpected kindness! In the world of business it’s rare that those in charge go above and beyond to open their private property for others to use and also to treat their guests with care and humanity. I am grateful for the opportunity that they have provided for the community of Hipcampers. I wish I could have stayed longer. I might even return next year and give it another try!

so pleasant! we felt like we had a lot of privacy, and the whole farm and forest atmosphere was lovely. cristina was super responsive. our only regret was not getting more of the upgrades because it would’ve been great to get closer to all the farm animals. i also wouldn’t recommend arriving at night if you can avoid it, just because it can be hard to find your site at first. everything is of course much clearer during the day. overall it was a great stay and we would come again!

Site 3 was perfectly secluded and had a great view over the bluffs! Cristina and her partner were very helpful - quick to answer any questions we had, including finding the closest place to get stuff for s’mores!

This is a very peaceful and private spot in the woods in back of the horse pasture. It is simple and unmanicured - just a lightly mowed track in with a fire pit, with lots of tall grass all around. The outhouse was kind of a mess because some critter had gotten in and partied with the TP roll, leaving the wet paper strewn all about (happens! Definitely a container is warranted). Otherwise clean though. Those used to backcountry camping will do well here, those used to state park camping may not be as happy. We were just passing through on a long road trip so we didn’t get a chance to check out the property or area, but it looked lovely. Easy in and out and good communication with Cristina.

Staying in Wanda the wonderbus was such a fun experience. Wanda was very clean and packed full of everything you could need for a comfortable stay. We added on the ac unit for our visit & we’re so glad we did, the weather was quite warm. The bus is located up on a ridge and very private.

It was truly a magical experience. Everything is clean and perfect. Pete was super helpful and friendly. Super accommodating and communicative. It’s tucked in a perfect location, close to towns and feels like deep in nature.

Our stay wasn't awful, but it wasn't good either. First of all, when we arrived we realized that the farm was in the middle of suburbia—and the neighbors were having an increasingly loud and drunken party that continued until midnight or one. The fire ring was surrounded by a painfully prickly vine. Worse, there was poison ivy surrounding and in front of the door of the outhouse. There was no toilet paper, and there was a small but active wasp nest in the corner. When we tried to start a fire with the firewood we bought from our hosts, we discovered that the wood was fresh and wet. It took an hour of steaming and smoldering for the wood to actually catch fire. On the plus side, the fire ring was well constructed, the site was very large, and there was an old slash pile in the trees that provided some nice dry firewood. On the whole, it seemed like the campsite and outhouse aren't maintained very well, if at all, and the wet firewood was a major faux pas.

We had a lovely stay at Barely Do Farm! Instructions were clear and although we didn't need any assistance, Cristina was quick to respond when I texted her. The campers at the site next to us seemed to be having a great time, too.

My son and I stayed on Wanda for one night and we had a blast! My son is 4 and has been asking to go camping so I thought this was a good place to start. It stayed a comfortable temp inside, the bed was perfect, and I loved that it was tucked away but still close to things if need be!

Nice camping spot on a small farm, and the hosts are very friendly and responsive. Firewood was delivered at the campsite. You can also fresh eggs from the farm, and even get a farm tour - which is great if you have kids!

The overlook was gorgeous and we saw a blue jay and a turkey. Very beautiful out there. Our dog was really glad to get out to the woods too!

Campsites were nicely spread apart so there is plenty of privacy. Beautiful scenery on an adorable little farm. Wanda was very nicely equipped and made a great base camp for meal prep as we rented 3 sites on the upper ridge. Owners were super nice. Can't wait for the cabin to be completed....that may be our next time here. Highly recommend.

Barely Do Farm
We loved staying on Cristina's farm and highly recommend! The campsites are beautiful and wooded, private enough to feel like a retreat, but not totally secluded. (Cell signal was good!) Hearing the animals nearby was an added bonus. Lots of hiking trails and water activities nearby, easily drivable for little side day trips. Four wheel drive is definitely needed to get to the top two campsites, but there is a spectacular view of the sunset up there if you're game. Cristina was an extremely responsive and friendly host. Awesome spot for an overnight, weekend, or longer.

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful weekend at the wonderbus! It was so cute and cozy on the inside. The property was beautiful, and created the perfect escape from the city. We added on the farm tour which was so much fun. We would highly recommend!!

This was a lovely spot. Lots of privacy but close to activities and a rail trail. My kids had so much fun visiting the animals. Our hosts were very kind and accommodating. We rented site 3 and 4 and had tons of room to spread out. Overall a great trip!

My two boys and I had a blast! Our minivan made it to the top of the ridge (hint, just commit and floor it) and we had a fabulous weekend exploring the surrounding York area. We loved our hosts and Wanda was fabulous. We added the firewood, eggs and tour of the farm. We will definitely return. Thanks guys, we had a great time! AM & the Boys

I love this place! Trees everywhere! Lovely site, I stayed at #2 but the others looked good too. It felt secluded. The farm animals were very cute. I will say the road up to site #1 and #2 was a bit bumpy but I made it in my Ford Escape without 4wd. Overall great experience.
