Tight camp sites on top of each other. Even though I was the only one there would be very close if there were other campers 0 privacy. Cameras pointed towards you, on top of port o potties signs and rules about what you can't do. We lost power which wasn't a concern for me but then a giant spot light was on all night preventing me from sleeping. Overall a bad experience would not stay here again. If you're looking for chill private would look elsewhere.

Awesome family camp site. Great amenities. Kind and attentive host. Gorgeous creek nearby that feels like a river and is wild and fresh. Easy access to local attractions. A great weekend getaway.

Great little private campground! Fresh water hose, clean porta potties, close access to the areas’ gorgeous adventures! Angela checked in with us to make sure everything was perfect. Thanks for hosting our great family getaway! PS. There is a strict fire ban in place, for very good reasons! Keep this area green and thriving🌳🌲. PSS- We did hear some neighbor dogs and some roosters, there were some Yellowjacket’s around, but these are things you expect when camping in rural Oregon!

Angela’s place is a quiet little oasis in the woods. There are only 4 camping spots, and we had the privilege of having the whole place to ourselves. Angie is a great host, fun to talk with and it’s obvious that she takes pride in her work around the place - from the painted signs to the clean porta pots! There is a central, communal area where (when allowed) a fire can be shared along with several lawn games. It’s minutes away from McKenzie Bridge General Store which serves good coffee, pastries and full meals. I’d love to return with friends to fill it up!

This campsite was really cute and cozy and perfect for what I needed! It was really quiet too! Angela came by on the day I arrived to check in with me and answer questions and give some amazing recommendations - she’s great! I felt safe and well taken care of here! The best family camping experience

Where do I even begin about our experience!? I will start by saying we will never forget our stay at Angela’s site. We took our 2 young boys for their first real camping trip experience. It was totally last minute and I found through HipCamp, this beautiful site that seemed perfect for my family. And it turned out to be one of the best memories I have ever have with my little family. Angela made sure we were taken care of in every way. Not only did we walk away with the sweetest memories, we walked away with a new forever friend. It doesn’t take long as you walk around the site, to see how much love and care she puts into her property. The stay would not be complete without a touch of Angela and her humor, great conversation, accommodation and comfort. If you are looking for a safe place to travel with your spouse, family or even just alone, and looking for really good company (whether it’s Angela or the coolest people that this site attracts) this is the place to go to. We will be back for more memories as often as we can come. Thank you Angela, for everything!! Can’t wait to come back.

Best camp in Mackenzie Bridge!

This was my second time camping with Angela! She’s always the best host. We were passing through and needed a site last minute. She got us set up on Wi-Fi, set up the propane fire pit, set up timers for the lights to stay on longer because we arrived so late. She even got us set up with the ingredients for s’mores!

Loved the camp set up. It's in a thick wooden forest, with string lights that are timed to go off at quiet hours. Angela greeted us and was friendly and warm, Honeybucket Portopotties were super clean and even smelled like it wasn't used! One of our air mattresses popped and the wood chips we put our tent on was fine for my husband to sleep on. It was a 5 minute drive from the camp to the meeting place at Mckenzie Church for our Family White Water Rafting Trip! Great location for all the Mckenzie River Magic.

This was the perfect setup and location! We really enjoyed tent camping here. The porta potties were immaculate (IMMACULATE!!) and the lights and WiFi were a great touch. Angela was so responsive and we really appreciate all her help!

Great Hipcamp! Everything is very close together, accessible and very lovely property. Host was very kind and amenable to our dogs staying on the property. We were only here for a night but it’s a great location to access the beauties in McKenzie river.

My husband and I had a great couple nights camping on Angela's property. When booking our site, Angela was very responsive and helpful as we inquired about which site would accommodate our truck with a rooftop tent. The property was clean, organized, and well thought out. A central fire pit, with yard games and smore supplies, was available to all campers. The portable toilets were clean and well maintained. Angela had water available for campers and a special hose for drinking water. She even had wi-fi available, which came in handy as we were planning our mountain biking routes. Angela's property is just a short bike ride away from the shuttle service that we used to take us to the top of the McKenzie River Trail and a short bike ride away from the meet-up spot for our river rafting excursion. The directions to Angela's property were clear and easy to follow.

Dog Friendly Awesome Camp Spot

My fiancé, our two dogs and I absolutely loved staying on Angie’s property. Angie has invested a lot of love and time into her land and it really shows, the property is so serene and quiet you can even hear owls in the night. It was raining our first day, but Angie saved the day by offering us some pitch fire starters, and a lighter because we forgot ours. We greatly appreciated her hospitality while visiting this magical area in Oregon. We can’t wait to come back and try out the new saunas she’s putting in.

McKenzie River Hipcamp Gem ✨️

Absolutely loved my stay at the McKenzie River Forest Retreat! I ended up pitching my tent next to my car in the Big Leaf Maple car camp site. Really enjoyed the shaded grove of trees, large firepit with complementary firewood, and perfect location for exploring the McKenzie River area. Be sure to check out the nearby McKenzie River General Store & Obsidian Cafe for cute outdoor gear, books, coffee, wine, craft beer and good food. I also caught live music there in the evening. Angie was an excellent host and a pleasure to meet and chat with. I will definitely be back!

This is an absolutely Gorgeous camping spot. When we arrived Angie came out to say hello and explained where everything was. I let her know we have a dog and we have a long line to keep him on and she was totally accepting of that. She even let us know that her neighbor has dogs so if he’s reactive just be aware. Which was an HUGE help because he is reactive to other dogs but we had absolutely no issues with the neighbor dogs the whole time. She also has the cleanest bucks I have ever used so that was a huge plus! The atmosphere was amazing. Very homie but outdoorsy. I definitely want to come back in the future but for longer next time! She came and said good morning and we had a great chat. If you’re thinking of staying here absolutely go full send! You won’t regret it.

Angela's camp is great! We loved the ameneties like the firepit and the handmade benches. Our six person tent fit easily into the space at the "Big Leaf Maple"site we occupied. The camp would be a great place for small groups on vacation or on raftin trips too.

Angela was incredibly attentive and kind. Their quaint camp ground was just what we needed for our one night stay. It felt safe, welcoming, clean, comfy and quiet with anything and everything you’d need in a camp ground. We have a smallish tea drop trailer that fit perfect in the larger group tent site. Although, it would’ve fit in the smaller tent site as well. (FYI) We will stay again on our way through McKenzie Bridge in the future.🙂

Douglas Fir Walk- In Site

We could only stay for 1 night before moving on, but I wish we could have stayed longer. Angela has done a great job of crafting a campsite with a strong sense of community, cohesion, and inclusivity. This would be a great site for backpackers or those looking to meet others during their travels. Nevertheless, the site was plenty quiet during our stay. No complaints; we hope to return!

Angela is a great host! Super responsive and accommodating. This was my second booking! I really enjoyed the campfire at night with friends and new friends. It’s also about a 20 min drive to Sahalie and Koosah Falls trailhead and many other trails!
