Tranquility Spring was one beautiful piece of property. My family and I camped there over a weekend and thoroughly enjoyed it. We walked the trails and saw wildlife. Even had a once in a lifetime encounter with a baby deer. The place was super clean and the fire wood was excellently seasoned, with grill grates for the firerings, we cooked outside all weekend and it was awesome. With all the good I’ve mentioned, the only really complaint I can say is bring bug spray!

I echo what others are saying! This is a beautiful and peaceful spot with lots of well-maintained trails to explore! We checked out some trails at The Arc of Appalachia Chalet Nivale and it was beautiful! The ticks are bad in the meadows though so be sure to bring good bug repellent! We drove 35 min to Hillsboro and ate at The Porch which I highly recommend! You can’t beat the price for firewood, water, and electric! Will stay here again!

Great tent camping spot and fun extra activities like throwing axes and basketball hoop for some things to do around camp! Complimentary firewood was awesome too for roasting some sausages!

If solitude is what you’re looking for, this is certainly a good option. Flat parking spot, running water, electrical hookup, fire ring and lots of tree cover.

We stayed for a few days and enjoyed the quiet solitude! The entrance is at the top of a hill, so unlatching the gate left us in the road for a few minutes. As long as you're quick, and / or no cars coming, it's fine. We stayed in site #2, our 26' trailer and 8' truck both fit snuggly, although we may have left some ruts in the grass pulling in and out.

Another great trip. Camp site is great and close to all the public hunting areas around. It’s quiet and you can’t beat the price and location and having water and electric. Just know if you have a longer trailer it’ll be a little tough to get backed in due to the angle of the spot. Will be back next year

The campsite was perfect! Well mowed, nice location, close to Serpent Mound (the reason for our visit). Electricity and water included with the site. Nice hiking trails, plenty of space to explore. There was even an axe throwing setup. Philip, the owner stopped by one day. He was very nice and gave us some additional information about the area, Thank you for a wonderful camping experience!

Great spot! Lots of cool trails and a field next to the spot. Seems like you'll be alone but also not too far away from Peebles. Water and electric was still nice to have while tent camping.

I didn’t actually stay here (plans changed) but Philip was proactive around communication and helpful around the changing plans. I can’t speak to the campground itself but Philip was great.

Campsite was awesome especially for the price. The location was perfect for hunting tranquility wildlife area. Response times were quick to any messages. If you’re in campsite 2 and have a longer trailer (30’ ish) just be aware it’ll be a little tricky to get parked with how the site is oriented. Also the fire ring is on the left side of the campsite and all doors are on the right for campers, so would be nice to move it to other side if possible. But overall great experience will be back next year.

This site is the perfect getaway if you want privacy and peace. Tranquility acres couldn’t be named more appropriately. Everything was mowed and clean as a whistle. We loved the basketball hoop and the soccer hoop and a little hike down to the spring was fantastic if we’re ever in this area, we will definitely come back kudos to Philip, for making it such a Pleasant Place! We camped over the 4th of July and had a great time. this place has everything you could want. We enjoyed going through the meadows looking at all the milkweed and butterflies. We definitely plan to come back and would recommend to others looking for a peaceful place to camp

We enjoyed camping at Phillip's camp. His two sons we're awesome. Needs a little leveling, but we figured it out. Lol. The complary fire wood lasted two days and was instructed where to find more. Response time when Txting Phillip was very quick. We cannot wait for a return visit.

Tranquility Spring Campground was a nice, place for a stopover. Both sites are very spacious. It was awesome to have water right nearby! (electric there also, but didn’t use)
The address was hidden and I had to backtrack to find the place. There was a very nice fire pit (not close to camp, but that was okay) and firewood provided. Philip was a very nice host.

Absolutely outstanding!! Dead Quiet, clean and beautiful spot. We parked our 16’ pop up camper there with tons of room all around. The trails were fantastic throughout the property. The tick problem in Ohio is real so make sure you check yourself and pets every time you hike. We found a few while we were there. Tranquility wildlife area is right across the road but DO NOT hike there without a map and compass or GPS. It’s very rough but beautiful. We’re already planning our next couple of trips there.

We had such a great time here over Memorial Day weekend! We had the whole place to ourselves and took advantage of the trails all over the land. The site was perfect for our teardrop and a small tent, but would have accommodated a far larger rig. We loved that there was plenty of dry firewood, a basketball hoop, and an axe throwing game set up! While we could technically see Site #1, it was far enough away that had it been booked, it wouldn't have bothered us in the least. Thanks for a great place to stay!

Very private even though your just a couple hundred feet from a county road, it was still very secluded. Easy to back in and hook up. Dog's loved the trails.

I had a great experience tent camping for 2 nights on Phil’s beautiful property! I was even fortunate enough to meet my host, who doesn’t live on the site but was doing tree maintenance the weekend I was there, so I got to learn a bit about his family’s long history in the area. Site #2 had a nice flat, shady spot for my tent, right between the gravel parking area and the fire ring. The electric outlet is designed for a different type of plug than a normal 120-volt wall outlet — probably whatever large campers use — but Phil had a spare plug converter he loaned me so I could inflate my mattress and charge my phone! I enjoyed a great morning hike around the hillsides before heading to Serpent Mound, and the day I left I was delighted to hear the early morning gobbles of the wild turkeys that live on the property. Be aware that the campsites are fairly close to the road, so you do hear some traffic sounds if you’re in a tent, but otherwise it feels pretty remote and disconnected from the real world! I will definitely be back the next time I’m headed out that way.
