Great quiet location. Loved looking out at the little pond. The donkey was very chatty.
Signage to the location could have been a little better. And
you definitely need your swimsuit to use their open air shower.

Perfect Weekend Getaway!
Very last minute camping trip and my first Hipcamp experience turned out so great! Nathan’s site is clean, quiet and comfortable. Not far from road but we only heard a couple of cars all night. The distant train horn added to the feel of being in the middle of nowhere. We had the “beach” to ourselves and the water was so clear I saw the fish at my feet. There were plenty of water toys, although we didn’t use them. I can see a full weekend there enjoying reading a book in the canoe in the middle of the pond! The HOT shower before bed was heaven. Toilet was usable. Trash and shelter provided was convenient. My husband even took a liking to Lucky the mule! Overall it was a peaceful experience (because that’s what we were looking for). Next visit will be for water fun. There is plenty of space for outside games too! Will definitely come back! Especially because booking is SO easy. Reserve, pull up, set up, enjoy!

Bass fishing in OH farmland
We loved camping at On Cedar Pond! A magical oasis in the quiet of Ohio farm fields! Nathan's property and pond are beautiful with lots of wildlife. Nate was very easy to communicate with and ensured we had everything needed. On Cedar Pond was easy to drive to - through a beautiful, classic Midwestern small city. The pond is very healthy with tons of fish! Best Bass fishing in Ohio and beyond!!

We had so much fun! The kids loved swimming and boating in the pond. It was peaceful and relaxing, just what we needed! Our hosts were so sweet and accommodating. We will definitely be back!

On Cedar Pond was alot of fun. My two boys never got tired of going down the slide! I enjoyed relaxing in the soft sand. It was like a private beach with beautiful views of the countryside. My thanks to Nate for sharing this great spot with others.

Relaxing weekend.
My husband and I enjoyed our 2 night stay! In the past, we have stayed at a hotel in the area. This was so much better! Our host was very welcoming and we enjoyed meeting the other family staying on the property. There is a port a potty and an outdoor shower with hot water available. We hope to return again next summer!

Had a great time, at first wasn’t sure what to think, but ended up being more fun because of how personal it was especially having two 3 yr old boys! They loved the donkey and cows and had a blast on the pond!

Wonderful!
I came for a wedding in the nearby town of Pleasant Hill and thoroughly enjoyed my week here. I was the only camper (in my truck camper) and the owners were out of town, so I had the place to myself, which was quiet and peaceful. The donkey, Lucky, was good company. One of the sweetest donkeys I've met. I work remotely and had good service for Zoom calls during the day and enjoyed beautiful views from my camper "office" of the ponds and neighboring fields (blooming this time of year in the spring). The property is really well maintained and it's quite pleasant to sit outside and walk around. I loved falling asleep to the frogs singing from the pond at night and slept really well. The outdoor shower had super hot water and I enjoyed showering with a view on the fields. Drinking water available. Porta potties super clean. 8 minutes from Troy, cute downtown with coffee shops and restaurants. Super easy to navigate to and good gravel driveway for easy coming/going. Nathan was a great communicator and checked in to make sure I had everything I needed. Overall, loved it and hope to come back next time I'm in the area! Thank you for everything, Nathan!

This is a beautiful campsite.
It is beautiful, clean, creative, and has such a welcoming air about it. It has a feeling of being far from the nearest town or city, yet is just a few minutes away from a nicely-sized city by car. The host is wonderful!

We loved Cedar Pond!
Would definitely come back to Cedar Pond! My friends and I went there for the weekend and had a great time. It’s like your own little campground. Lucky the donkey was so cute lol. Nathan was very attentive. Highly recommend :)

Beautiful and welcoming.
We had the best weekend here! Nathan and Eloise were the best hosts and made sure that we had everything we needed. Eloise even went to a local Amish farm and bought my husband a pie for his birthday! The pond is clean, filled with fish, and so much fun to paddle board or canoe around. The views are gorgeous! We had the best weekend here and look forward to returning soon. Make sure to bring apples and carrots to feed Lucky, their donkey. He love attention but loves treats more!!

Great place for the family!!
Awesome place to take the family! Swimming, canoes, water slide, rafts, fishing, and a playhouse! The kids wore themselves out while we kicked back and relaxed. Our host was amazing! Helped out with what we needed and gave us plenty of privacy. Highly recommended!

Great hidden getaway
This property has a bit for everyone. There's a beach with sand toys, chairs under umbrellas, swing set, shade trees, tiki hut, waterslide and boats ... and even a donkey named Lucky who loves being pet & eating fruit from the trees! I enjoyed a few laps walking around the property.
The sunset over the water was fantastic! I was allowed to pick a spot upon arrival (no designated spaces). The host was friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. Around dinner time Eloise brought me some fresh, local sweet corn she had prepared ... delicious!
The property had a trash bin, drinking water, an outdoor shower, and a "kitchen bin". The large fire pit area was wonderful. Overall very large area to relax or play. I went to relax and unwind. There was a family of 4 there with 2 toddlers and we all had ample space to call our own (the firepit is a shared space however).
I definitely plan on returning, both solo and with my family to enjoy this spectacular getaway!

On Cedar Pond
We enjoyed our stay on Cedar Pond. The hosts were generous and hospitable. We would stay here again if in the area.
The ground was very well kept. We enjoyed walking around the spring-fed pond. There were water slide, kayak, standup board, a sandy beach area, yard gams, a donkey. We enjoyed seeing fish spawning in the circles they made! You can catch and release fish here too. We didn’t swim but did a few laps canoeing. The hosts offered us a freshly made cherry cobbler made with the fruits from their tree with vanilla ice cream! We enjoyed the sunset and starry night. Woke up and walked along neighboring land. We saw cows, llama, and a small fox and other wildlife.
There was one other couple on site. They stayed in the glamping part. The hosts did a fantastic job to make your stay super special. We stayed in our own tent and had a great time. Porta potty on site was very clean. They have hot/cold outdoor shower.
We had a lovely time and would highly recommend this place.

Great stay on beautiful lake
What a great stay this was the host are very kind and helpful as well as give you privacy..the lake is very fun tons of fish to catch and boats to ride the sandy beach is a blast for the kids and adults..make sure to bring apples and carrots for lucky the donkey he is awesome overall a fantastic stay they even have a clean porta potty and electric I can’t wait to return give this place a try you wont regret it
