This was such a nice little getaway! The campsite was clean, and had a picnic table and a fire ring, as well as a port-a-potty close by. The site was very private, away from the main road so it felt very secluded.

Great place to stay. It was quiet, easy to find, and only 35 minutes from downtown Cleveland. Marijoy was easy to communicate with and provided clear directions to her place.
We loved being greeted each morning by the chickens and ducks.

Would reccomend Marijoy's site for anyone looking for a place to rest on a road trip, or even just city folk looking for a night away from the apartment. We were the latter, and were so happy with the experience. The site was clean and spacious. Despite being in a residential area, the property was surprisingly big with just the right size trails to explore. And of course, the chickens made great company. This was our first time pitching a tent for a night, anywhere, so Marijoy's place was a great first-time-camper experience.

Great place to pull off for the night during our cross country road trip. Marijoy was very responsive and the site felt secluded while being just a few miles from I-90. Would stay again!

Very good site! The host is warm and welcoming! Beautiful woods and trails! Our only complaint was another party parked near our tent during the early early morning hours. Other than this, I would most certainly recommend, overall a pleasant place and fun trip.

This is such a lovely piece of property that’s so convenient for cross country travel. The sites are close to each other but nobody was staying at the other one so we had our run of the place. If privacy is important or if you have a larger group, reserve both sites! Marijoy was a wonderful host and made us feel safe and welcome. The portajohn was the nicest I’ve ever used!

Marijoy and her chickens are excellent hosts! We enjoyed the campsite as it was clean and had plenty of space for us. The portapotty even smelled nice!
The trails around the property are lovely, with plenty of plants and wildlife to see! We would definitely stay here again.

Convenient location. Very clean accommodations. We were the only ones there and it felt super private. The chickens were very cool and did not disturb at all.

Although it is located in a residential area, the sites are way back off the road and in the middle of 8 acres. Quiet and secluded. Marijoy is a wonderful hostess and wanted to know what we crazy (like a fox) Hipcampers are all about.
At dawn a deer came to visit. The cleanest Porta-potty I have ever seen.

I was very happy with my stay here! En route solo to rural New York from Chicago, I wanted to find a safe spot to sleep before the following day. This property was perfectly situated along my route for the first night, so even though I arrived after dark, I set up a small camp and was able to get a sound night's sleep. In the morning I got to appreciate just how peaceful and pretty the property was, as I spent time in the morning with my books/journal while watching a small flock of ducks and chickens roam about. It's tucked off of roads with houses on them, but you wouldn't know it by camping there - you're merely surrounded by trees and a bit of native grass. I might have gone on a walk in the woods but chose to journal at the picnic table at camp instead. Marijoy came out at one point to put some apples in the woods for the deer, and we had an excellent and friendly chat. Solid Midwestern hospitality!

This site was such a great spot for an overnight cycling trip. I rode the North Coast Inland Trail up to Lorain to the Northern Tier. It was a great peaceful site for being so conveniently located.

Marijoy's farm was such a lovely stop on our way to the Allegheny National Forest. My partner and I left Chicago much later than expected, so we arrived at the site close to midnight. Because the farm is not where Marijoy's house is, it was nice that our very late arrival was not disruptive to our host! I only wish we'd gotten in earlier to explore the area more and have more playtime with the chickens and ducks, who were very friendly and sweet. They greeted me on my morning walk the next day, and I was so delighted by the sweet and funny way they ran up to me -- they clearly thought I had food, haha. Marijoy was so gracious and flexible, and allowed us to have a later checkout so we could have a more luxurious morning and make a hot breakfast over a fire. She stopped by to check in on the farm that morning and we all had a lovely conversation. Marijoy has lots of really funny animal stories! On our way out we stopped by Lake Erie, which was right down the road. Would definitely return to this location again. Thanks for everything Marijoy!

Thanks Marijoy! The happy honey bee was exactly what we were looking for on our cross country journey - a safe, simple, and secluded spot to drive right up to, pitch a tent, steal a few hours of sleep, and continue the adventure. I think we arrived after any sensible person would have gone to bed, and we’re gone before most would have time to drink a cup of coffee, so didn’t actually meet our host, but we were delighted to wake up to a flock of friendly chickens ans a couple of cute ducks milling around our camp. Just lovely. Would recommend!

The pictures are outdated but I had a great stay! The microwave is removed the outlets aren’t connected, but staying in the RV was a real nice experience for my gf and I. The chickens were cute and the Hosts provided everything I needed and asked for. She was very responsive to my msgs and there are cute touches in the RV to make it more homey like little LED candles, a speaker, and a well made bed. I didn’t miss the microwave or outlets at all actually. There’s plenty of lights inside and I used the gas powered kitchen/ the bonfire a lot. I would definitely recommend this to people that aren’t dependent on electricity.

Great find on a cross country trip. Private, secluded and quiet, just what this weary traveller needed! One curious raccoon approached my cooler but was easily coaxed away. Perfect set up with fire pit, wood, kindling and evening paper since I arrived after dark it was a welcome relief!

Loved my stay here! The chickens greeted me as I drove up and we’re very curious as I set up camp. The back area is pretty expansive with two fire pits and two wooden picnic tables. I parked out of my car and was able to back into a secluded part of the area. Like what the other posts have mentioned, the site is private and secluded but exists within a more residential area so there is some street noise. Slept great with ear plugs. This was a great roadtrip stopover spot!

Loved the chickens! The RV was quaint but despite what was advertised, showering could not happen in the RV given that the hot water never got hot (barely lukewarm), and most of the water ran down from the faucet instead of through the shower head. And - it was obvious that the mice played in the RV at night given the mouse droppings and the chewed garbage bag in the morning. Despite these drawbacks, the hosts were very nice. Wish they had left instructions though on how to use the solar power rather than the electrical outlets (which were non-functional).

The site was nice enough! It was just much closer to the other camp site than I had anticipated, and did not feel very remote. I had not previously visited Lorain and don’t know that I would return.

The host family was very nice. The pictures were not recent. There was not a microwave as there was in the pictures which could be a problem. They had bedding, dishes, pans, soap etc which was nice. The outlets don't work but the lights worked and there was a charging pack for our cell phone. It was nearer a road than I had imagined but you just heard something extra loud like a motorcycle on occasion. We mostly enjoyed the chickens but they did get on the picnic table. There was firewood provided which was a nice plus. There was also a portapotty nearby if you don't want to use the bathroom. It is also used by the two campsites which are farther in on the property. There were people there camping one night but we couldn't even tell they were there. There were beaches and Metroparks nearby and a great ice cream place.
