The cabin is lovely, the beds are comfy, the goats and the sheep are adorable! It was really warm inside the cabin, even in single digit temperatures. The bathroom in the main house is very nice. Shiloh is super friendly (though a bit overbearing). Our son and his friends had a great time sledding on the sledding hill, and it was terrific that there were sleds to use!

We love staying at the Camp Cabin. Our girls loved the farm animals and the property in general. Plenty of firewood and bathroom is super easy to get to and use. Will be coming back.

Even though we had snow and couldn’t have a bonfire we really enjoyed the stay! Quiet and relaxing. Will definitely stay again!

Wow! What gems this cabin, this farm, and this host are!! Our kids were enchanted by the many activities (the barn being highlighted!) and I adored the cozy cabin. We can’t wait to come back!

A terrific stay. Feel like you are in the country, but close enough to civilization in case anything happens. The cabin is perfect. Host communicates quickly. The barn was a big hit with my two young girls. Cozy and quiet. Would definitely stay here again.

We loved the little cabin in the woods. Was lovely and peaceful. We loved the goats and the chicken. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking a cabin to stay in the Cleveland/ Akron area.

I was very excited for this stay, and it was even better than I expected. The land and the cabin were beautiful, Donna and Garry were lovely as were all the goats and the chickens! Wonderful people and a wonderful stay!!! The cabin has everything you need and was very comfortable, even with our big dogs.

My husband and I were looking for a quiet couples getaway. We found the property and site to be beautiful. The cabin was cozy. The hosts were awesome! They thought of everything!! What stood out as unique is the access to the barn where we found an endless amount of activities. We fed the goats, hiked a beautiful trail and watched a spectacular sunset. We even made time to practice our canoeing skills on the small pond that was adjacent to our cabin. The bathroom in the back basement of the host house was clean and well stocked only about 75 feet away from our cabin. They kept this area well lit just in case you had to go in the middle of the night. What a fun experience for families with small children!!

Donna’s land is absolutely magical. If you are quiet enough and paying attention, there is so much nature thriving around you. This trip came at a time when I did not know I would need it most and it was perfect and healing. The cabin is so clean and charming. This was my partner’s daughter’s first camping trip so I wanted it to be close to home and still have some comforts. It was perfect! The only downside to our experience was the day we checked in, it had been 92 degrees all day, so the cabin was pretty miserable to sleep in the first night. Also, since this is in the backyard of the homeowner, it might not be your cup of tea if you want a more off the grid feel but again, for us it was perfect! Donna was so sweet, gave us our privacy, and graciously shared her land and all of its offerings to us. I will definitely be wanting to come back on maybe a girls trip in the fall or even winter when other camping is more challenging!

A weekend full of memories we’ll never forget! From fishing with sticks and catching what felt like a million fish, to feeding the sweetest farm animals, and ending every night with s’mores by the fire. Grateful for every moment! The Camp Cabin at The Hallstead
The perfect place to take the children. Or to just get away by yourself or perhaps a romantic couple of days or book it , for your in-laws as a anniversary present. This place was clean quiet we had a really good time not far from a Walmart in case you forget supplies. The cabins absolutely beautiful like something from a scene from a TV show. The animals are cute we had a great time.

The Camp Cabin is absolutely fantastic! We camped during this weekend’s heat wave and while it was hot, we stayed relatively comfortable. The cabin is nestled beneath the trees and so even with just fans we slept well and even enjoyed a small fire at night. Our dogs loved the pond and talking walks around the large property. The basement bathroom is so nicely remodeled - it was almost nicer than ours at home! The goats are adorable and so friendly. We had fun sharing our lettuce with them and the little babies. The cabin itself has every amenity you could need. Donna even had a dispenser of water waiting for us. Tons of books, games, and puzzles. The pictures of the inside don’t show how roomy it really is. We can’t wait to come back and stay longer. Thank you Donna and Garry for creating such a heavenly oasis for us “city folk” to enjoy!

Really enjoyed our time at the cabin! The hosts were fabulous, kind and friendly! The cabin was super cute, well decorated, and clean. It was our first “glamping” experience and the whole family had fun ☺️

We enjoyed our stay.
Weather was rainy so we didn’t have a campfire. However, everything was provided to do so.
The cabin was nice and had a cozy feel.
We would definitely visit again.

Even though it rained the majority of the time we were there, we still enjoyed everything they had to offer. The kiddos loved the trampoline and playground and of course the animals was a blast for all of us. Thank you for having us!

The little cabin and property were perfect for us and our dog. The cabin was simple but it had everything we needed without losing the essence of camping. Having a bathroom available was also great. Overall we're happy with our experience and would go back.

This was our second time at the cabin—and it was again a lovely spot to take the family and our dog. The girls loved the canoe, swing set, and animals. Lots to do and the cabin is lovely!

Donna’s Hallstead Camp Cabin was exactly what I needed—a quiet, peaceful place to rest during a work trip. Even in February, the cabin was warm, comfortable, and had everything I needed for some simple indoor cooking. The bed was cozy, and the cabin itself was beautiful. Though I didn’t get to use the fire pit due to rain, it would have made for a great evening. I fell asleep in complete silence and woke up to the soothing sound of rain on the roof—absolute perfection. The pathway back to the cabin is easy to navigate, and the setting is just so peaceful. I may return with my family one day to enjoy it even more!

Loved the cabin! We had everything we needed and it was cozy and warm even though temps were below freezing. It was a peaceful snow scape with birds and deer. We will definitely consider staying here again if we're in the area! And thank you, Shiloh ♥️

Wonderful little cabin. The hosts were also very accommodating and one can tell that they have been doing this for a while, because all was explained before hand and nothing was needed.
I definitely recommend. If the opportunity arises, I would consider coming back.

I came this Christmastime because of a review about Christmastime 2023. Donna goes all out with tasteful holiday decor. The flames from the very adequate heater add to the charm. I was lucky to get a dusting of snow. I never met Donna, but this is a show of trust and respect for privacy. The guestbooks confirm that this is also a special place for couples and children.
