Restful stay with good bird watching! Loved all the special touches, which made the space thoughtful and unique. The sauna and hot tub were the icing on the cake!

Exceptionally Great Place to Stay

Loved the privacy and being tucked away in the woods but the driveway gave us enough clearance for some beautiful stargazing with no light pollution at all. This was our first time taking the dog camping who also loved the experience. Campsite was very clean and the porta John up the driveway was perfectly clean as well. Would happily camp here again every time we visit hocking hills! :)

Incredible stars, quiet, and serene

What a beautiful serene camping setting and experience. There are only three sites, and all are pretty private. We stayed in the Shroom site and it’s at the end so it’s very private. Site is flat, stone camp ring is wonderful and love the picnic table, hammock, and bench. For us, the sky was clear both nights and we had an unbelievably incredible view of stars, the Milky Way, the ISS, and other satellites. There were so many stars, it was very hard to find the few constellations we are used to seeing. Incredible! Plus, we loved both of the meditation areas, spotless PortaJohn, and great communication from them. Numerous Hocking Hills hikes are 10-20 minutes away, and we had a wonderful Sunday brunch at The Ridge Inn in Laurelville. You have to try their homemade donuts. Wow!! Definitely recommending to all of our friends and hope to find a weekend we can bring friends and use all three sites.

Great place to have a quiet weekend

Great spot to camp. Very quiet and private spot. We loved having a campfire and just relaxing in the campground. The bathroom was super clean and close by. The stars were amazing and we were able to see the Milky Way from our spot! We will definitely be returning!

Camping in the woods.

Had a nice, quiet stay. The Shroom site was a short a distance from the other 2 sites, so that was nice for privacy. Be sure to look at the property map, so you don’t miss the trails that they have running through the woods (we almost overlooked them). The trails were a nice pleasant surprise, that we quite enjoyed (I love exploring). Even though the site was very primitive, with no running water or electricity (which added to the rustic feel), the port-a-potty was very clean and well maintained. I would definitely stay there again.

Exceptional primitive camping experience. Car camping available in specific sites. Really special place with some primitive upgrades: Portapottie on-site but far enough away from sites stocked with tp and a mirror. At each site; Basic charcoal grill with grill brush (only need charcoal and tongs). Firepit (wood for sale in town 5min away) A large picnic table Bench to sit by fire Dog tie out line A cute trail into the woods reveals a magical hammock swinging in the shade for you! Fresh water refill hose available at main house Black raspberries and Blackberries all over property. Soft breezes and mid day hikes. Natural work out gym in the woods. Good communication from hosts on what to expect and details of their small town. Go roast a habanero, add some lime and kosher salt ……have a spiritual awakening in nature. You deserve it.

Cute Little Site

This is a cute little site set back far enough from the highway that traffic don't disturb you. There are 3 sites, all rather close to each other, but far enough to provide a modicum of privacy. The site slightly sloped but fit our 18x10 tent without to much issue. Had 1 bar of 4g through att, which was enough to load directions to our next stop but not much else.

Very cute campsite with fire ring, table and grill. Cleanest portapotty I have ever been in. Close to Hocking Hills and Conkles Hollow. Peace is very exposed to campers from the other campsite so just be aware. Overall would highly recommend this campsite to anyone!

Cool place. Owner down to earth. Clean. Cool vibe. Bring portable shower if you stay at primitive campsites. Highly recommended renting all three primitive campsite with friends and family. You’ll have the whole place to yourself for a mile. Would come again.

Nice people, campsite needs some wo

First I will say the positive: Raven and Dustin were very kind and professional. They did not argue or try to weasel around when I told them I wasn't happy. They gave me a refund and wished me well. Now the negative- I did not even stay there one night. Once I arrived, it was not what I felt was advertised so I found them and told them I did not want to stay. Its right on a gravel road, very close to their 2 other campsites, with no trees in between, and not really in any deep woods. The trees and woods are more behind you than you even being in them. The plot of land is tiny....There is a large house that is visible from the campsite, and there was loud motor equipment droning on in the background. definitely NOT peaceful sounds. Also, they talked about your dogs being tied up in their rules; their own dog was not tied on and tried to jump in my car to get my dog...That was a little scary. I think they are well intended, and they are good people, but the campsite needs some work.

Very private - quiet spot in woods. Love the fire pit and picnic table. Perfect primitive site with a few amenities to make it comfier. I parked my jeep right by camp site and worked great for my rooftop tent! Will definitely be coming back.

Beautiful property, directions were clear and super easy to follow. A 7 by 12 tent was about max that would fit on the site, it worked tho. My kids and I loved it and had a great experience

I loved camping on their land. The foliage was beautiful around this time. I personally would choose Camp Heart next time as it is more secluded and tucked away. I thought each campsite was very pretty and simple. The hosts were very nice and accommodating. I would recommend bringing your own water as we ran out and ended up buying jugs due to the water being rusty and murky. Overall, we had a great experience and loved being there!!

Gorgeous Nature + artfully designed

This place was a dream come true, especially if you love being close to nature without having to worry about rain or the other tough parts of camping. The Pollinator truly gets its name from the bee hive making honey right out the window - hearing the bees through the screen and smelling the honey while the frogs burp and the breeze blows through the tiny house all while staying comfortable with all the windows and screens and temp control if it gets too hot or cold. Not to mention the gorgeous artwork - the house itself is a work of art with raw decorative wood pieces, bamboo trim and beautiful sculpted handmade wood pieces. The hosts were great and the hot tub was a nice touch. Definitely would recommend! 10 out of 10. (If you are afraid of bees this place is not for you.)

If you think it looks cute and comfy, just book it. You won’t regret it. The pictures don’t do it justice. It’s so peaceful and beautiful. From the songs of the croaking frogs to the hums and honey scents of the busy honey bees(you can safely observe them from a window, it’s an incredible sight). There’s even a short hike on their property to a couple of creeks that you can take where we saw a deer! Afterwards we relaxed in the purple lit hot tub and then walked back to our tiny house under star light. You can keep that place as cold as you need if it’s hot, but we mainly just had all the windows open for the breeze. We met Dustin and his dog Peanut and he told us about the woodwork he did for the house. Ask about his ice sculpting. Super cool people and we would definitely stay again.

We loved camping here! The bathroom was very clean. The site was beautiful and connected to little trails for the kids to explore. We didn't get poison ivy! The stars were beautiful at night. The host was very friendly and helpful!

This is a beautiful space with so much nature preserved! Loved walking the trails and all of the wildlife (lots of deer and rabbits 😊) and being a short drive from all of the features in Hocking Hills state park. The hammock and grill were appreciated bonuses I wasn't expecting and the hosts do all they can to give you an amazing stay! Definitely going to be back again.

Brought my daughter to brush up on her primitive camping and surving skills on fathers day weekend. Everything was secluded and quiet. You can't get that at a state park. Dustin and Raven are totally awesome and make you feel welcome on their beautiful property.we will be back. Cell service works on your site (we had 5G) but not so much in the surrounding areas so do not depend on your GPS be careful if you venture out.

Raven's Retreat was exactly what I was looking for in thoughtful accommodations, amongst beautiful and peaceful nature. The pond is serene and filled with the sounds of croaking frogs at night, which was so cool. But if that's not your thing, it's easy to close the windows and you can't hear a thing. The grounds have many trails to walk. Both DJ and Raven are passionate about the nature that they care for as well as making your experience just as advertised... a retreat! I will definitely be back again!

The Pollinator

The Pollinator was beautiful! It was fully outfitted to its description and so quietly peaceful. We really appreciated the coffee set up and the ambience of the cabin. I hope to return again this summer, it’s so close to some classic Ohio hikes. 100% would come back again
