Memory Park Campground is a beloved spot for many campers, characterized by its peaceful, private, and well-maintained environment. Visitors frequently praise the spacious campsites and the attentive, friendly host, Mark, who goes the extra mile to ensure guests have a pleasant stay. While the natural setting offers a serene backdrop for relaxation, some visitors note the proximity to train tracks, which can cause occasional noise disruptions. Overall, it's a favored destination for those seeking a quiet escape into nature, with many expressing a desire to return.
I took my family here for my son's very first camping trip… He's just one year-old! Mark was so welcoming and kept the grounds so beautiful. It's truly the best camp experience. Sites were all awesome, hideaway hollow was a perfect tucked in spot for privacy. We had the best time here!
When we were getting to camp, it had just poured rain. Mark was nice enough to get a fire started for us before we arrived. This campground is very well taken care of, the porta john was pristine, & the campsites are spread out enough to give you your own space. Our dogs also loved it!
The only complaint we had about this place is out of the owners’ control, but the train tracks are very close by & came through blowing the horn in the middle of the night. Pack some bug spray because after the rain, the mosquitoes were bad — thankfully a nearby camper offered us to borrow his bug spray!
We had a great stay & will absolutely come back to this location. Thanks again, Mark!
I really enjoyed tent camping on Mark's land. Honeymoon point was very private and immersed in nature. The site was quiet and clean and very beautiful. I enjoyed walking around and looking at the other sites and deciding which ones I'd like to stay at in the future. I will definitely be back!
We really enjoyed the weekend at Memory Park Campground!
This has been our 3rd trip here and we enjoy coming back every year! Our boys enjoy riding their bikes around the camp ground and riding them down the hill! We saw a deer run through the campground Saturday morning!
Mark is such a nice host - we look forward to coming back again!
Thank you!
Peaceful, secluded, and clean. My 7 year old said it was lovely and we loved the tree swing. Mark is the best, so helpful and kind. They have done a great job with this place. We found our new camping spot for sure!
Tent camping at the River Bend campsite at Memory Park was a highlight of our summer! Beautiful nature, lovely sites, truly a perfect mini-getaway! Mark is amazing, kind, and very prompt with communication! Lovely place, lovely experience, would recommend!!!
Memory Park is a beautiful remote campground. I was the only person there the night I camped which made it even nicer. The downside is that it is located right next to a railroad track. The last train went by blowing its whistle just as I arrived around 6-7pm. But a locomotive was loudly idling on the tracks all night long which my earplugs could not block out. As a result, I didn’t sleep very well. It’s possible that the idling locomotive was an anomaly, I don’t know. I only know it was there the night I camped there. Also, there are no warning lights or lowering crossbars to prevent vehicles from crossing the track in front of the train, only a static a railroad crossing sign. So be very careful on the road as you approach Memory Park. If I had driven down the road a few seconds earlier I might have been flattened by the train which went roaring by the moment I came to the tracks. Use your eyes and ears.
We adore this campground. Beautifully maintained, great sites and only 80 min from us in Cleveland. The owners provide dry firewood that you can purchase for 10$ a wheelbarrow. There is a river winding through, this time we caught sight of the beaver that lives there! The only drawback is the sound from the natural gas liquidation plants few miles away but they aren’t operating on Sundays so it is so peaceful. It doesn’t take away from the beauty and serenity of this spot and the hosts are kind and helpful! We did a tent one time and this time brought the RV.
What a great place to spend our wedding anniversary. Just us and nature for 5 days. The campsite was perfect for our 32' bumper pull camper. The camper site sets on packed gravel with a concrete pad and pea gravel for chairs and picnic tables, overlooking the creek. We saw ducks, we fished and explored the well manicured property. We really enjoyed our stay at Memory Park.
4th year returning to Memory Park with my family. We enjoyed the canoe this year, and as always the secluded wooded area, and the hidden beach past the hiking trail.
We had another great weekend camping at fox den! Beautiful, private, peaceful. We will definitely be back. Thank you Mark for sharing your lovely property 😊
What an amazing campsite! Tucked away in the middle of nowhere, it offered peace, privacy, and beautiful scenery. Having the entire campground to myself made for a truly relaxing getaway.
If you're looking for a quiet place to unplug, enjoy nature, and escape the crowds, this campsite is hard to beat. I had a fantastic stay and would definitely come back.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Definitely recommend
Space was well kept and beautiful. Shady which made the fire nice to sit around any point in the day. Right against the river I wish I brought my kayak or fishing poles! It was a semi long walk to the portable toilet but it didn’t bother us. It was a beautiful walk all around the property. I should add that I was abruptly awaken by a train at 4 am. There are tracks right beside our site. But all in all a wonderful family getaway!
Our family has loved Memory park for years. Mark and his family are inviting, kind and run an amazing space. We were lucky enough to see lots of wild life, and enjoy the peace that comes with staying at memory park! We have stayed before and will absolutely be back
Every thing was exactly as stated. What a super nice guy. Responded within minutes of my initial question’s. This is a beautiful site to camp. Easy river winding through the outside. Firewood, walking area, wonderful graveled roads. Within 10 minutes of a small town with all the amenities you might need.
Folks, do yourself a favor, reserve anyone of Marks sites and you won’t be disappointed….
We will be back, and we have invited a few friends of which we plan to reserve for the same evening.
What a wonderful place, quiet and peaceful. Mark is a top-notch host. The property is well kept and each site has privacy. Could not ask for a nicer Hipcamp!
We enjoyed our stay here for a second year in a row! The host Mark is a great communicator and responsive. This property is so clean and so well kept! Our boys enjoyed riding their bikes around the campsite and we enjoyed sitting by the bonfire. We had the entire campground to ourselves for two nights and it was calm and quiet! Thank you Mark and we are looking forward to coming back again!!
Second time camping there and Memory Park never disappoints. We had plenty of space, plenty of privacy, and the hosts are the best. Can't wait to go back
